What they failed to mention (and conveniently waited to drop on me once I was already in the chair) is that they don't actually bill insurance and told me they will go above and beyond to help me. You're expected to pay out of pocket, upfront, and then maybe get reimbursed by your insurance later. That's not "doing things differently." That's withholding critical information to get people in the door and trap them in a pressure situation. If I had known, I would've never wasted a second of my time here. Then, when I left a completely justified review, the owner decided to hop in and lecture me like I'm the problem. Calling my reaction "a little excessive" while I'm in pain and being forced to go find help elsewhere? Absolutely not. Don't patronize me. I was very polite in person considering the circumstances, and still pretty measured in my review--but since you wanna get cute, here's the truth: This office is all about appearances, not actual care. They'll smile while misleading you, then hit you with a guilt trip when you call them out. Mind you there's candy, soda and energy drinks in the waiting room. Guess they gotta make sure buisness keeps coming back somehow. The response I got from the owner was full of ego, excuses, and absolutely zero accountability. This experience could have been completely avoided had I been explained over the phone how "different" you guys really were. If you're okay with being gaslit while you're suffering and overcharged for it, by all means--go. I had dental surgery and two upper crowns placed. Crowns and stems do not last forever and I have had them replaced twice since that time. About two years ago one of the stems broke again and my front upper cap came off . I had other estimates in Greenville to get the stem repaired,( as well as pricing for permanent implants) and felt defeated each time when assessing the overall cost involved. I cannot say enough about Dr Hoskins and his entire staff! From the first phone call I noticed a true caring for me as an individual struggling with a cosmetic dental issue, the overall cost involved , the PTSD I still struggle with from the incident , and the personal embarrassment I felt trying to find a resolution I could afford and do in stages. As a woman , this repair is not only esthetically important to me but it carries a lot of emotional baggage as well. They listened to me , did not try to brush off my feelings , and treated me as an individual! I felt valued as a customer, and felt they listened to my needs. Historically I have absolutely cringed at the thought of going for dental work. I would almost rather do anything than go to the dentist ! But Dr Hoskins and his team made me feel welcomed and listened to my concerns , then came up with 2-3 different options or paths we could take together to improve my smile and dental health. I never felt like a freak or an anomaly ( which I had felt before from other dental offices ) when getting estimates or repairs. As well as giving me 2-3 options for the future , Dr Hoskins offered me a quick ( temporary ) resolution to repair the cap which no one else had even thought of or offered. I'm sending everyone i know to this office ! They are a great group of caring professionals! You are not just a number here - they will take the time to see you and hear your concerns. Tonight I cried on the way home, feeling incredibly blessed - (and still in shock) at the quick repair they made until I can afford to see the oral surgeon. If you hate going to the dentist , have put off your visit or cleaning due to COVID - don't delay ! Call Dr Hoskins and his team and schedule an appointment. I promise you won't regret it! There's something very different here as compared to other dental offices !

I explained my fear and was treated with kid gloves. I am so impressed with the kindness and professionalism of Dr Godwin and Andi and the staff. My smile is getting better and working on it more. I had two chipped teeth top front and within 45 minutes, they were not only back to normal, but Dr Godwin took the time to match the color so it looks natural. I recommend SDA to anyone. The staff are all welcoming and friendly. That is huge when going to the dentist. Today was my third visit with them. Attention to detail and overall care from office staff, hygienists and dentist. I didn't need any of those crowns! Today I did go back in to repair an old crown. Highly recommend headphones especially for any major issues. It made the time go by quickly and with less stress. We all need less stress! I prepaid since insurance wouldn't cover this problem. At the end they told me I was getting a $192 refund as they didn't need to do as much work as expected! I told my husband, he is looking forward to his upcoming appointment. I highly recommend for dental services if in the Greenville area! So thankful to have found an excellent dentist!
