We have been dealing with this store for a very long time and have never been disappointed. I think…read morewe have purchased something from every department in the store. The quality of the products is excellent. The staff are great. They even go out of their way to help you find the best dollar value on your purchases. When we needed a new washing machine (which they don't carry) they put us in touch with the Picture Butte store which has everything and just as nice staff, we got our washer. If more stores could find staff like those at these two stores their businesses would really improve. We just wish they carried lumber at the Lethbridge store too.

I'm leaving this for my mom who doesn't have yelp:…read more I would like to say "thank you" to the owner and staff at Niels and Gords. Three years ago I went in to buy an auger-style snowblower and Niels talked me into buying the paddle-style with the option that if I didn't like it I could return it without issue and purchase the auger-style. Well this winter I finally had a chance to use it - I greatly enjoy my paddle-style snowblower. When I bought the snowblower I was to bring it back after its first five hours of use for an oil change (included in purchase cost), when I called this month to inquire about an oil change Niels still honoured that offer THREE years later! How many companies/businesses would do that? On top of all that Niels and the staff here have been a pleasant, funny and all around awesome every time. Thank you Twila

We were extremely pleased with the sales service as I'm disabled and needed more support than most. They took into consideration that my back is very bad and suggested that I get firmer cushions at no extra charge although it is a special order. What was particularly nice is that the building I live in is currently undergoing extermination for a very severe bedbug infestation and it will not be complete for a month. They offered to keep the furniture in their warehouse until such time as the building is certified clear. This was most impressive. With all these factors in mind we decided to cancel looking at any other store. Besides there was a sale on so it was a bit cheaper than normal even tho still more than Ashley and the brick but I'm sure less than lazyboy. It's not every day you get a new sofa meant to last probably the rest of your life!

I've been here many times and never had a single negative experience. When I was shopping for…read moreengagement rings, I went to every jewelry store in town...twice. I did a lot of research into diamonds and engagement ring styles to avoid getting ripped off. Several stores tried to sell me low quality items with highly inflated warranties. Fosters, down the street from Tompkins even treated me like I was worthless because I didn't want to spend $15,000 to $20,000. Tompkins genuinely cared about getting the perfect ring for my fiancee. Flo worked with me to find the perfect design and the best possible diamond to complement it. I felt very comfortable that their first priority was finding me what I wanted, not making a quick buck. They had a ring custom made and placed the diamond. My fiancee loved it. Their aftercare has been great too. Unlike some stores in town, like Fosters, they understand that they will be more successful by cultivating long lasting relationships with their customers. Several of my friends got engaged around the time that I did and I recommended Tompkins without hesitation. I was very happy to hear Tompkins treated them as well as they treated me.

That's your advertisement right there, 11 out of 10 product, people, and service. Designing the ring was a ton of fun, make sure that you're not in a rush. My wife works in healthcare so the owner had some recommendations that really made the ring come together and not interfere with her work. Little modifications so gloves don't tear when you put them on, making sure her hair never gets caught on the ring, little things like that. Every time I came to the store front I was met with smiles, you can really tell all the employees love their jobs and want nothing but the best for their customers. At the first design meeting I was up front about my budget, and the owner was very respectful and diligent when designing the ring around my budget. It was never brought up a second time. This made the process very enjoyable and stress free as I new exactly how much everything was going to cost. The owner went out of her way to order custom cut diamonds from New York that where so beautiful she bought them knowing that type of diamond doesn't come around very often. After the fact I can come into the store front when ever is most convenient for me and they will clean my wife's ring and give it a quick once over, if there is anything less than perfect they take care of it right away! If you want to spend your hard earned money on a local, multi generational family business, that provides the highest standard of service, provides the highest standard of product, who genuinely takes care of their customers, then Tomkins is a no brainer. Check out their Facebook page and website to see some amazing one of one jewelry.
