I've been to more funerals than the average 30yrold they're never fun and most the time you're there from obligation or to steal an afternoon off work. Matiske has been the choice of several close family friends and I dare say I'm at risk of becoming a regular. The service the team provides is nice. They're very accommodating to your wishes and needs for the service, and from all accounts the pricing is fair. The flowers they get in are worth a note, as they are quality and have delightful perfume to take home with you. Post service tea and coffee is not amazing, but they do serve better Han average biscuits. The building is partially renovated, the toilets are still stuck in the 70s. read more

I guess the only reason this place is appearing in my reviews is because I used to walk past it…read moretwice a day, and the reason for that was because the railway station just happened to be on the other side of the road. Look, it's a memorial park (a name that has come about in recent years, though it used to be called a cemetery, and I am certainly one of those people that prefer a spade to be called a spade). Still, it is quite and peaceful, and sometimes wandering through here just allows us to appreciate how young this place really is.
