The first realtor we used wasn't very good. We gave him a list of houses we were interested in, but he told us he couldn't get in touch with the owners of the houses, then showed us houses that didn't fit our criteria. Turns out he was showing us houses where he was the listing agent too. Bastard just wanted extra commission. So we told him we were going with a different agent. I met Jason through some friends. We looked on the Internet for houses for sale and then we told him exactly what houses we wanted to see. Jason also asked our criteria for what we wanted in the house. He must have shown us over 40 houses, but we declined to buy at that time. Even though we didn't purchase a house, we became friends. He didn't show any disappointment when we didn't buy. He just told us to call him again when we were ready. Then 3 years later, we decided to look again, he showed us many houses again, but this time we decided to buy. After we bought it, we had a vacation out of the country so could not do the home inspection, so Jason took care of that and made many notes for fixes, definitely things that we would have missed ourselves. After we closed, Jason organized the move from our condo to the house. He told the movers what to do and helped with all the many boxes. My wife told Jason what she wanted done and it got done. I just watched, because that's all I'm good for. And I want to keep my hands soft. Don't need them calloused from moving boxes. The move went smoothly. We didn't pay him anything extra for organizing the move. It took several hours. Then we had Jason organize the clean up and painting of our condo and he sold it for us. It took a couple months to sell, but we got a decent price, close enough to what we were looking for. We still call Jason if we have any issues with the house and he helps us to resolve it.
