Brought my dog to get groomed. Staff clearly have little experience with handling a nervous dog. My…read moredog growled on his first time here and I offered to muzzle him. They stated that they can't leave him muzzled. He gets muzzled every time he goes to the vet as a precaution, even though he's never bit or snipped at anyone but because he shows his nervousness by growling. I have worked with dogs for several years and have rarely found an animal "professional" that refuses service based on nervous behavior, and further refuses service because they will not muzzle a dog. Insane practice to charge as much as they do for grooming services and show this much incompetence and inexperience they have.

We came in search of a new harness for our dog Bono. Who we have nicknamed "Houdini" because he has…read morebeen able to escape his collar and harness. We got up to the register and asked the cashier if she thought we got the right size. Ann, one of the store managers over heard and came to our rescue. She cut off the ties off of the harness we thought would fit and proceeded to place it on Bono and adjusted it to make sure it fit him properly. After all of this, we figured that he would be able to escape this harness as well. So she walked us back to the aisle with the harness choices and recommended a different one. She took that one out of the package and tried it on him, adjusted this one all over again. Mind you, Bono is not very warm to people he doesn't know. She gained rapport with him quickly by giving him some awesome doggy massages. Because of Ann, we found the perfect harness that Bono can't escape out of. Thank you!

Dingo's Natural Pet Food, Self-Wash & Grooming - Both have been approved by kitty but she definitely likes the NULO best.

The self service grooming tubs are the BEST. I am so thankful for the hair catch, warm water, powerful vacuum and hair products. It's worth every penny coming to this facility and I recommend your business to everyone I meet. I look forward to my next visit! Thank you again Elizabeth!

This is a tough one for me.. we get our food and treats here and thats always great. I'm also the…read moretype of person who only ever writes reviews if something is really good. However, a year ago I used the pet self wash station for our two corgis. A few days later I was in the emergency vet with both of my dogs. They had an extreme case of folliculitis. It cost us around $4k in emergency services. All because they don't use clean/sanitized bottles for their dog shampoo. When diluting with water you're only supposed to let it stay mixed for a max of 24 hours and then dump it all and sanitize the bottles. When I talked to the owner/manager I was blamed for "not using the entire bottle" and was told "that's why they had a reaction" I was also told I must not have followed the directions on how to use the shampoo that's "posted on the wall" so I went back and took a video of the rooms and there were not any type of instructions. I'm also not sure how they think using more of a product that was contaminated would have helped. They were super rude and then said they'd help to "make it right" but months went by and nothing ever happened. She even stopped responding to my phone calls and emails. I didn't get an apology and was never asked how my dogs were feeling. The type of folliculitis the dogs had was so extreme their fur had to be shaved, and I had to put my toddlers t shirts on them to keep them from bleeding all over the house. They were extremely uncomfortable, lethargic, and would walk around whimpering and would barely eat. We had to switch to a stronger antibiotic to help so it was about a month of antibiotics, and supplementing their food with rice, pumpkin and a powder that helped them not poop uncontrollably because the antibiotics irritated their stomachs. We had to wake up in the middle of the night multiple times for weeks to let them go potty because they couldn't hold it in. All of this also happened while I was pregnant and dealing with extreme morning sickness and going to the hospital 4 times a week for IV treatments. All I wanted were clean dogs, and I ended up with a month of hell. So it's great for food and treats. Horrible if you get an un sanitized bottle of shampoo.

Animal Urgent Care North East - She is now feeling better and back to catching up on her sunbathing.

The doctor was nice and explored what my cat would need at their facility as we had to transfer from the other Animal Urgent Care in Park Hill due to him needing hospitalization. The vet tech that came into to give the estimate was very rude and condescending. I was trying to figure out if my cat needed everything during the hospital stay because it's so expensive and I can go get some of the care at an extensively lower cost or free at the shelter I work at. She was so rude and was speaking to me like I was dumb when I asked about what each item was for and if it was needed; she was pretty much like well it wouldn't be on here if he didn't need it. They also made it seem like it would be "cheaper" and it was just as expensive as the original estimate. I had to walk away because I was so upset when I let her know her she was being condescending as she disregarded my feelings and said she wasn't using and sort of "tone". She also had made the comment "well does that mean there is going to be an issue paying the deposit". It's just so rude that I'm just trying to see if everything is needed and insinuating that I have a problem with paying. My boyfriend took over the rest and when he tried to look at her name tag she had taken it off. I get it's 2am but it's so disheartening to be treated that way, if you don't like your job or know how to be kind maybe don't work there. Totally opposite service and care that I received at the Park Hill location. I would not recommend this location due to its treatment from that staff, it felt very cruel. I will finish my care there because it was 2am and I didn't want to worry about driving around with my cat having just gotten an enema and needing more, but I will not be going back there after this visit. Update from 9/28 Walking in the next morning was a completely different experience. The front desk woman was so kind (I think her name started with a "S" or "C") and helped bring my spirits up from the previous experience. The discharge tech (different staff) was so kind, caring, and supportive. I could tell she genuinely cared about my kitty and expressed how happy she was to be able to meet and take care of him. She took her time to answer our questions and get us discharged. She and the desk supported me redeeming my view of this office. I appreciate the turn around and care and hope this the general experience for most.

They explained everything with great compassion, allowing us to make an informed decision about our dog's care. Unfortunately, her time is very near. Every person we talked to at Animal Urgent Care (AUC) was kind and caring. Losing a pet is a pain like no other. They are a part of your life and family. We know they can't be with us forever, but when their time does come, it's a blessing to be surrounded by people like those at AUC. This is actually the second pet we've taken in. Our kitty Popcorn was put down there last year. Now that the day is approaching with our Lexi, I can't imagine taking her anywhere else for her final moments. Not only are the doctors, techs, and desk staff awesome, but the services are also very reasonably priced, considering they offer emergency surgery, blood work, and ultrasounds. We highly recommend Animal Urgent Care North and feel blessed to have them in the community. One more thing: they get busy! They do a great job managing the many dogs and cats coming in. If you find yourself waiting for what feels like an unbearable amount of time, remember that someone else may be there with a pet in critical condition, and the staff is working hard to save its life. Be grateful your pet isn't as high on the priority list.
