During our first meeting he was very knowledgeable in guiding us in the direction of our ceremony (we were clueless on where to begin). He was very organized and offered different options that worked best for us as a couple. Upon our next meeting and further conversations, we came up the ceremony that was perfect and personal for my soon-to-be husband and me. The day of our wedding went flawlessly. Fr. Dave arrived early to prepare us for the ceremony and to make sure everything was in order. He delivered an amazing ceremony and many of our guests complimented his work. After the ceremony we signed our marriage certificate and Fr. Dave took the certificate to get it sent off to the county. DO NOT HIRE!! We hired Guillermo and paid his deposit 7 months in advance of our wedding. One…read moreweek before he sends an email that he has given our job to another photographer, gives a first name and no contact info!! I immediately replied asking for contact info. Nothing. Texts, phone calls. Nothing. The next day I started emailing every photographer in Albuquerque and Santa Fe by that first name. It was almost 3 panicked days before I was able to speak to this person and look at their portfolio. Not that it mattered, there was no way to find another photographer, that we would choose, with less than a week's notice. To seal his lack of integrity with some bad karma - he told us his ill mother had taken a turn for the worse and he needed to go immediately to Colombia and was giving all his jobs to other photographers for the rest of his year! He never left town! It was a LIE!! Also, we had no choice but, to pay him the full balance in advance of our wedding, or risk not having any photos. And, he asked for $200 more than the signed contract! Also, his deal is to give you a free engagement shoot. We never got ours, as every time I would ask for some available dates, letting him know we are very flexible so, we could make it convenient for him, I would not hear back from him. Lastly, he got the drive from the photographer and did the edits. His idea of editing is to turn some photos black & white (which we can all do with our phones). There were over 60 good (unique, meaning not too similar that he would have maybe thought they were unnecessary) photos that he did not deliver to us!! Would post negative stars if possible!!

We went to several different locations, and Guillermo directed us in a professional but relaxed way. He was great at finding the best places for posed photos, but also making sure to capture all of the candid moments in between. We had a great time during the shoot, it was all very easy and smooth. The completed photos were sent to us very quickly after the shoot, in a matter of days, and we loved all of them. We ended up getting the perfect photos for our Save The Date and our wedding website. We will definitely book Guillermo again! If you want an uptight, "no fun" photographer, look elsewhere. If you want someone to make the whole process feel easy and natural, book Guillermo!

The good, the bad, and the review…read more.. We used Kevin's for our wedding in September of 2014. They are fairly expensive, but we wanted to splurge on pictures because we felt they were very important. We got a lot of great pictures, don't get me wrong. However, we got zero close up face photos and zero pictures of our hands with our rings. Overall, the pictures that were taken were great, and a few were very exceptional at the Botanic Gardens. I did have to tell the photographer, (not Kevin) that we were "for sure" doing photos from across the water (this is the reason we chose Kevin's in the first place) even though he disagreed with me about it at first after our ceremony and during our couple shoot. I'm so glad we did because these turned out to be our favorite pictures of the day. Maybe he traded any close up pictures for across the water pictures in his mind time wise? He could have been stressed about time since we were running behind schedule. I will definitely take the blame for that one, though I'm sure most weddings run slightly behind schedule. I am disappointed that I don't have close up face pictures of me and my hubby on our special day. Also, I'll I don't have a traditional picture of our hands together with rings. I was hoping for some more artistic touches and special, quiet, romantic, serious moments. There were no plays on black and white with one color in the editing or anything like that. However, the across the water pictures are absolutely EXCEPTIONAL. I have mixed emotions about this review. Both exceptional photos, yet some missed moments also. I'm sure it's nearly impossible to remember everything in a limited amount of time. A HUGE plus is that the photographer was very kind, fun and made our bridal party and family feel relaxed... Especially during the reception. As a tip for any wedding photographer, I would definitely write down the EXACT photos you want in advance so you aren't left without something that's important to you. It's something you won't think of on your special day and you rely on the photographer to call most of the shots. There is stress on the photographer as well, so some things can just be forgotten. We didn't get to meet with our specific photographer to discuss what photos we really wanted before our wedding day. I did chat with him over the phone, but I should have been more proactive about meeting with him in person. Overall, some very exceptional photos and a good experience.

Once we got the proofs back, we knew this is who we would hire for our wedding. What I really love about Kevin is how daring and creative he is.
