I really appreciated her coming over regularly to help us with our baby's slow weight gain and she was also able to coordinate with our pediatrician. I was adamant about wanting to BF and I'm glad she didn't try to push formula but encouraged triple feeding for some time, which is tough on a new mom but I think it did help. We ultimately decided to supplement with formula while working to improve my supply and she was supportive along the way. Would highly recommend Jaudon for her lactation consulting. Insurance takes care of the billing, she just charges $40 for in-home visits, which was something I really wanted. I like how she met with me before I delivered my child, to manage expectations and suggest what we should prioritize before the baby arrived. Jaudon saved me on my breastfeeding journey! I found her at about 2 weeks postpartum when my daughter was latching poorly and RUINING me physically. I was miserable and struggling and didn't think I could keep going. Jaudon showed up (masked) the next day to help. She assessed my daughter's latch and helped us identify a tongue tie that the hospital missed. She guided us through the process of getting that fixed (which would have been really overwhelming without her support). If you are contemplating breastfeeding at all in your post partum journey then you absolutely need a lactation consultant and Jaudon is seriously the best! We contacted her because my baby was struggling to gain weight coming home from the hospital. She was immediately able to help diagnose the problem and then implement a plan to help me get my baby latched and my milk supply up. My baby is now 10weeks old and I went from triple feeling (formula, pumping/bottles and breastfeeding) to exclusively breastfed in about 3/4 weeks. If it wasn't for Jaudon, I would have transferred over to formula immediately (not that there is ANYTHING wrong with formula- fed is best! It was just important in my journey to breastfeed) so I'm over the moon that I was able to make this transition. Breastfeeding is so so hard in the beginning. It's so important to find someone who is kind and will work with you with compassion at a time when you are extremely vulnerable. Jaudon's expertise put me immediately at ease but she also validated my feelings, checked in on me, helped me develop a plan that was manageable for my situation and provided the support I really needed to get to my goal. I could not be happier with Jaudon's thoughtful and firm help with breastfeeding. My son was initially so difficult to get interested in breastfeeding and would just scream and scream every time I tried. Although our first appointment was difficult and not much initially changed, Jaudon gave me excellent advice on how to use the pump to increase my supply. With her help, my supply shot through the roof and at around 6 weeks, my son started latching slowly but surely. Around that time we met with Jaudon again and she was able to show me different positions and give me advice on how to get him to latch longer. Jaudon is amazing! I set up an appointment with her in the final weeks of my second pregnancy. I had struggled with breastfeeding with my first and I wanted to get ahead of it with my second. Jaudon also came to support me 3 days post partum and helped me tackle some issues with engorgement which was leading to a painful latch. After following her recommendations, I was able to get the engorgement completely under control which led to a pain free latch. I was having positioning issues and accidentally created an oversupply really early on which was affecting my daughter's latch. I wish I had taken the opportunity to utilize a LC with my first baby. I had such a hard time and because he was born right at the beginning of the pandemic, I had little resources to help with nursing, and eventually just gave up after 4 months. Jauden was super helpful in the early days of breastfeeding both of my kids. My daughter had issues gaining weight and Jauden came over multiple times to do weight checks and provide tips for improving her latch and reducing pain. She also showed me how to use my spectra pump, and shared different breastfeeding positions. My breastfeeding experience was a journey and I really doubted whether I would be able to breastfeed at all after that rough first week or two as I had supply issues and needed to supplement and at one point completely switch to formula.
