I went to Camp O'Malley many years ago. My main memory of Camp O'Malley is from a morning at…read morebreakfast. I have never written about this before. From that breakfast to the present it would serve me well to forget. The counselor for that breakfast-believe it or not was a young man that actually lived just down the street from where I lived. I didn't know him but knew where he lived and he was also quite older than me. Through the food line they would give you WHAT to eat. I asked that they not give me any oatmeal. But they said I didn't have a choice. Being from a low income family the counselors thought that I would make a GOOD example if they would FORCE me to eat that breakfast oatmeal. Well that was very mean and after I gagged up in the bowl they worked twice as hard to make me eat that oatmeal. I know back then Camp O'Malley was supported by Police Departments. So it was my thoughts back then that amp O'Malley was closer to a military camp than a leisure, fun camp. So after that I have never had another bowl of oatmeal to this day. And just because I came from a low income family was no reason to force their will on me at such a young age. Also after that I never went to another camp. If I could go for less than 1 star I surely would.

I loved working at this camp. I've worked there a little while now and every year has been great…read more the kids seem to really enjoy it and the directors have always been great to work with.

My daughter was scheduled to take her test today (11/29/19) at noon…read more When we got here there was a gentleman waiting (& was on the phone) saying that he was suppose to take his test at 9am. He was sitting here since 7am and when he called the center's main number @8am to find out where the test administrator was he was told that the testing for the day @ this location had been cancelled. He had not received notice and my daughter had not received notice that her test had been cancelled. He spoke to a "Dr." who then told the man that he was on his way but it would be an hour and a half. He continued to say he was on his way but each time the other gentleman called back to see where he was, he said he hadn't left yet. My daughter then called the "Dr." that was suppose to administer the test but was told the same thing. He told her he called three other people and whoever got here first would proctor the test but currently we've been waiting an hour and the gentleman who was waiting when we got here has been waiting 4.5 hours. This is highly unprofessional behavior! My daughter can't take the test after Sunday. She had a choice of today (Friday) and tomorrow (Saturday) she chose today by bad luck I guess. So beware all you testers. Do NOT test in Fairfield! You may or may not get to test. It's 11:30am and we don't even know if she will get to test today. And if the "Dr" doesn't show up we don't know if she will be able to take the test as nothing will be open til Monday morning! Another tester just showed up to take a test and she didn't get notice either. This "Dr" needs to be reprimanded at the highest level! This is ridiculous and Pearson needs to make this up to these test takers.
