Menswear downstairs and Womenswear upstairs their labels range include (last time I looked included; Firetrap, Full Circle, Lolita, Diesel, Ted Baker, Marshall Artist, Rare, Hands, plus many more. Great staff who go out of their way to help but are not always pushing for that sale - if you need any advice just ask Paul who runs the place - what he doesn't know about the latest fashion trends isn't worth knowing. It has a real unique feel about it, while you shop the place plays some great music too!

A few years ago Westgate was a dated department store. But since then, the store has been under…read moregoing major renovations and it really has stepped into the 21st century. First the ground floor was completed and currently the first floor is having improvements made. Part of the Co-operative, you can earn dividends on your purchases here. It is a major department store in Peterborough offering clothes, shoes, kitchtenware, electricals, bedding, funiture, carpets, perfume and toys. The brands tend be aim ed at the more mature shopper, but they are good quality and priced accordingly. For something a bit out of the oridinary compared to chain stores, this would be a good bet. Since the store improvements, it has ecome much more pleasant place to shop, as well as gaining a coffee shop. I would say it is a good alternative to the high street stores, or even the nearby John Lewis. The service is always friendly and helpful. This branch has a handy car park behind the store and is open late on Thursdays.

The clothing ranges tend to be quite out dated as are the shoes. The toy department is sometimes worth a look around christmas time but everything tends to be quite expensive unless the sales are on. The best department, I feel, is homewear which has a good range of reasonably priced soft furnishings as well as a small range of bedroom and lounge furiture. There are often good deals on things like towels and bedding making it ideal for students moving to university or young people starting out on their own who are on a fairly limited budget but still want good quality stuff for the house. There is also a cafe which seems very popular with the over 50s and a travel agent as well as the opticians and hairdressers also located inside the store.

Rivergate shopping Arcade is situated just near the Asda in Peterborough, it is well worth a visit…read moreespecially if you have shopping to do in Asda as you can reclaim your parking fee at Asda checkout. It strikes me as a small but traditional arcade with some nice small shops and some of the better known shops are here. There is a Subway which is great for a bite to eat as well as a 'bistro' style restaurant. There is also an ideal world shop located here. The arcade is nicely laid out and very clean and a pleasure to walk around.

Rivergate shopping centre starts opposite peterborough court and leads through to asda, there are…read morequite a few shops inside rivergate and these include: £1 store, comet, peacocks, iceland, george, kempston shoe shop, a bridal wear shop, italian restaurant, coffee shop, hairdressers and then through to asda and then pets at home is a short walk from there. There is a large car park outside asda and a bus route just outside the court so rivergate is very easy to access. I find rivergate a great place to shop as there is a wide choice of shops to visit in such a small location. The italian restaurant is lovely and asda also has a restaurant above it so there is plenty of food outlets to choose if you dont want to walk too far. I find rivergate great if your doing a grocery shop and would like to look at a few clothes shops at the same time and it save the hustle and bustle of the main town centre. Rivergate is a great little place to visit and I would recommend it to anyone.

Claires Accessories is located in Queensgate shopping centre in Peterborough, aimed at teenage…read moregirls. It was a favourite of mine when I was younger as it offers a range of hair accessories, jewellery and stationary that is very girly! Prices used to be expensive, but have come down a bit now. I reccommend the place if you have a younger sister, daughter, neice or friend because there is a huge range of accessories that are unique and funky. You can also have your ears pierced (in the front window with everyone watching- not my idea of fun!). Worth a look!
