Matalan is apart of the inshes retail park and is a fairly large shop. It has a huge car park and is easily accessed as it is on the level. Inside there is also a ramp as well as stairs for individuals to make there way up to the upper level of the shop. The shop is split into several sections, there is children/babies clothing, mens clothing, ladies clothing, and household items. The shop is spacious, and easy to move around as the rails are not so close together, so you are not pushing your way around. There is a variety of types of clothing and styles, but sometimes I have to admit that they style does not always fit with the present fashion, and sometimes I find it hard to go in there and find some nice clothing. Granted there are some really lovely clothing but some of it is a little bit outdated. Prices are not really competitive, as they are around the same prices as m&s and next, but not necessary the same quality. Of course you can go in here and get some cheap clothing, but I do find for the larger lady it is a bit of a struggle especially as most of the clothing for larger ladies are not very stylish. Overall though the whole selection of the shop is positive, and around christmas time the selection of christmas stock is outstanding, and will take your breath away, some really unique items. Wether your looking to get suited and booted for work of for going for a night out your sure to find clothing to meet your needs here. The is also a new introduction of electrical equipment in store. Obviously its not going to be as large as currys or comet but it does serve a purpose. The is also a homewares department Which enables you to buy a varied selection of goods to decorate your home a little. The layout of the store is generally quite good. It is always kept clean and tidy. There is always good reductions to be had in the in store sales. A good cheap store for clothes I do find that the clothes don't last very long more of a throw away fashion store. They sell a lot of cheap fashionable items ie T shirts, Summer.Winter wear, Skirts, Shoes and Homeware. read more
