This restaurant is in the middle of the forest and can be reached by foot or driving. There's no public transport to the restaurant and it's about 40min walk away from Sant Cugat. The trek itself is an experience on its own.
I went to have the traditional Catalan food calçadotas, which is grilled green onion. You peel off the charcoaled outer layer and dip it in romesco sauce.
The meal starts with pan con tomate, calçotadas (grilled green onions), and follows with meat platter including chicken, butifarra, blood sausage, rabbit and lamb! The rabbit comes with its head. Apparently it's to prove that it's not a cat... Of course there's unlimited wine! It comes in a traditional Catalan decanter and can be drunk directly from the container's smaller end.
Overall it's a unique experience that you need to have to be a true Catalan! read more
