My mug is large, sturdy and beautifully crafted. Most of the pottery is dishwasher safe (but I will hand wash mine), oven and microwave safe. I am pleased to have this keepsake from my trip to the Great Smoky Mountains. Buie also has an online shop and will ship anywhere within the continental U. S. Worth checking out!

Thomas in the studio upstairs. It was fun to try my hand at it! It's such a cool process. Everyone is very friendly and there are many cool finds as you're browsing around. I love shopping local and supporting artists in the community and this is the perfect place for that. The history behind it is always interesting. They actually physically moved the entire building to their current location. Make sure to get someone working to explain it to you. Pro Tip: Ask for a dishpan cookie. They are delish!
