This is a follow up review. I recently had my resume updated by Masterpiece Resume on Sept 2021, as I was very pleased with the original work which got me my current job. I had great things to say about the service. I gave some added individual awards and other accomplishments, which were put into the new resume that I asked Masterpiece to do for me. I got the resume back and didn't look over it like I should have my fault all the way as I should have reviewed the resume. I went back after getting another description that I felt better aligned on a updated resume. I asked MR about the update, which I was told would be an addition 89.00 to add the additional materials for a expedited fee as I needed it soon, I was applying to another job with a different company. At this point I started looking back at my resume before making my decision. I noticed a lot of mistakes, Spelling, sentences cut off not making sense, Things not put on the resume that should have been added to the resume after saying they were missing the first time. I emailed Masterpiece about my not paying for the service to add additional materials and also to tell my displeasure with the updated resume. I had to go back and fix a lot of mistakes, as I said that was my fault for not checking more thoroughly when I first received it back from the updated resume. I never heard back from MasterPiece Resume after I sent an email about having to fix everything and not use the services again. I waited to write this post to see if I ever would. Both my husband and I were in need of our resumes and cover letters re-done. I was in desperate need of an update to my resume AND business plan. As I have been in business since 2002, I was in the middle of acquiring a major client with a contract that would last me well into the next 5 years at least!! Kirsten absolutely put together a kit that I could present with the upmost confidence! Not only did I land my contract, but my client is offering to bring me on full time under their banner; but that's another story! I'm not a huge yelper, but do believe in using it to share with my friends and others locally looking for what services I found. With that said, I must say that the negative review below is somewhat unacceptable. Ms. Kirstin Olsen is one of the most INCOMPETENT and UNPROFESSIONAL private contractors I have ever hired!!! After a 20 year career in the MILITARY I hired Kirstin to write me resumes geared toward civilian employment. Not only did she not fulfill the contract, but what she did produce was full of amateur grammatical/verbal errors. When I attempted to bring it to her attention, First she ignored my phone calls and voices mails, then stated she was not receiving my texts messages either. It wasn't until I informed Ms. Olsen I intended to leave negative feedback online that she finally responded too me. She attempted to bribe me by offering a $200 refund of the $500 I PAID her in advance, ONLY if I signed a "Gag Order", NOT to leave NEGATIVE Feedback. Obviously, I have more Integrity than that and would not be bought, nor care to see any other Veteran OR good Samaritan get scammed or ripped off like I was. Kirstin made several excuses from "I had alot come up", "I had taken longer than expected", to finally "I do not want to work with you any further" after I called her out on her LIES!!! DON'T GET RIPPED OFF LIKE ME.... I can a sure you Ms. Olsen I am no liar and your continued IMMATURE idol threats with regards to future employment are just continued pathetic attempt to threaten me. Here one of your texts supporting my earlier assertions. " (3/5) er, there are different rules. I wanted to get your project to you for review and address edits. My guess is, a potential employer investigating you for a security type profession will clearly see how hostile and potentially unstable you may be as an employee representing their company and may even consider you as a potential liability waiting to happen and therefore will not consider you a candidate for hire. I am so grateful that i decided to use Masterpiece Resume. On a Monday I was told that I needed a Federal Resume in 5 days to see if I was qualified to attend a course by the Veteran Affairs, that could lead to employment with them. I gathered all the information that Kristin required to complete the resume and on Friday she gave me the final draft. I was accepted into the course and a week before the course graduated I was offered a position with the VA.
