I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Ecosteel. I had a small single-story, 2400 sq ft office…read morebuilding built between 2023 and 2024. I was excited to work with Ecosteel as I had visited the website several times and became acquainted with the company and process, and I even chose an architect who specifically had experience with building with Ecosteel. Unfortunately, my experience with Ecosteel has been fraught with issues that have overall made it a negative experience. They caused several delays and added costs and ultimately strong-armed me into accepting an invoice that added $100k to the cost (they claimed the cost of steel went up, which it did but not to the level of their price increase), which I had to accept because it was too late to start from scratch again with a different builder, as I had already paid the costs of contracting and engineering with Ecosteel, which was $65k at that point. When they delivered the materials, they sent the wrong sizes of several items and also did not include others. This caused more costs and delays for me with my builder. I sent a letter asking to be reimbursed for added costs, but they did not respond despite multiple attempts. There are windows that were supposed to be unobstructed, but they sent beams that were too big that obstruct the windows in the lobby, which was to be the focal point of the entire building. They are unwilling to reimburse me for the added costs that I had to take on for the plumber because Ecosteel did not follow the plans for the location of the plumbing in the bathrooms and gave us the wrong sizes for posts. We had to also go with a different erector, because the original erector (which would have cost me much less) had to back out due to the Ecosteel delays in shipments. Just a few issues that my builder compiled: -Posts being moved and changing anchor bolt plans and reactions. This caused delays in design and construction. This caused additional costs in the recalculation of the foundation, contracting with a different erector due to the re-scheduling conflicts. -Rafters blocking windows that in the original plans from Ecosteel were showing beams less deep not blocking windows. -Wind beams were located such that they blocked windows and obstructed valley gutter. -Valley gutter was shown in original docs and should have been included in the building package. -Back sheeting was shown in the original docs and should have been included in the building package. -Trims at fascia was shown in original docs and should have been included in building package. -Framing connection at low side haunch had a plate (3/8" shim) tack welded to the flange that was supposed to be inserted into the connection but not shown anywhere on plans -Portal frames added at high side and low side walls interfered with doors and windows. -Trims sent out do not match the profile of trims previously sent. It's interesting that not once did they come to inspect or visit. There are so many other options to build in steel, and in hindsight, I regret choosing Ecosteel. I was lured in by their attractive website and building process and sales team (David Scott, Joss Hudson the CEO, and Missy Mraz), but ultimately, I paid the price for their mistakes and lack of integrity.

We recently hired Ron at Da Vinci and our bathroom remodel came out like a dream bathroom! Ron was…read moreso easy to work with, guided us each step of the way. Had great design ideas. We were tearing out our large tub shower and making it a walk in. We interviewed about 10 companies and Da Vinci has the most comprehensive bid and some of the best pricing we found. Ron was easy to reach all along the way. His construction crew was efficient and knowledgeable. Pedro over saw the demo and install and has years of experience. He did everything to code. Pablo worked his tail off demo'ing and rebuilding our new walk in design. Jorge did the most AMAZING Tile job. It was perfection. All lines and measurements and spacing was to a tee. The Hot mop company was excellent also! The finish flooring crew came in and worked quickly and installed everything to spec. We had some plumbing issues once the demo was done and needed to do some changes to that. The Plummer who came out from the company was quite pricey so we were able to contract our own separately at a much lower rate. We used Nick from Sterling pluming. Honest and reliable and upfront with all of his pricing! The shower glass door was included in the bid. Very nice since most others had that as a separate line item. The shower door is beautiful but had a small leak in seal at bottom. The company was suppose to call us back to come and better seal it but never called us. My husband easily bought his own caulking and repaired it himself. We bought our tiles at MSI in Orange. One of the best and largest and gives all kinds of free samples. Highly recommend them. I also highly recommend picking your shower plumbing and supplies from Ferguson Plumbing . Their showroom in Irvine was GORGEOUS! And they were so knowledgeable. They take walk ins but make an apt if going on a weekend. Our shower is gorgeous and turned out to be our dream retreat. Thanks Ron!
