    Custom wedding band
    Alia M.

I wish I could give this place more than 5 stars. My fiancé took in my ring to get a custom nesting band made as well as his own band created out of an old family ring. Maurice and his wife were so incredibly kind from start to finish, putting all of our needs first and giving us such professional service. There was even a minor concern with my engagement ring (purchased from another jeweler) being fragile and they called and let us know right away and gave us advice on how to care for it in the future. So nice! Our custom rings turned out more perfect than we could have ever imagined, and for such a reasonable price and so quickly! We are over the moon. If you are wondering who to trust with your jewelry needs, look no further! Thank you again!!

I lost some weight and my ring slipped off in the garbage disposal, my husband didn't know, and ran the garbage disposal. so it got severely damaged. I thought there was no way it was going to get fixed and it made me really sad because my dad just passed away and this was the only ring he saw on my finger. this ring has a lot of sentimental value to me and i have tears in my eyes as i'm typing this lol. i'm so happy with the outcome and i would recommend this place to everybody. the price was also phenomenal, I was expecting it to be A LOT more. They're a great family owned business that really cares.

On August 9, 2019 I made the unfortunate decision to visit, what was at that time, the new high end jewelry store to move into the storefront vacated by Chesters Loan & Pawn, who had repaired and sold jewelry for 25 yrs. It was an uneventful day about to take a turn for the worse. In need of a simple ring resizing, I buzzed the security door asking for entry. It was remote entry, meaning an employee must buzz the door open for the customer to enter. As I could see in the window, there were two women hanging a chandelier and a man making jewelry. I'm not sure who remotely opened the door, but the door opened and I was allowed entry. Taking approximately three steps into the store, I was attacked by a large Husky/German Shepherd type breed of guard dog. Never growled or barked, jumped up, bit my forearm leaving a 4 inch gash! Yet somehow I was able to push the dog off me. The dog was coming at me for a second time, frantic I managed to sream for help as no one seemed aware I was attacked. The older of the two women who I later learned was the younger woman's mother, came to my aid, grabbing the large aggressive dog, pulling it away from me. I would've thought that the dogs owner would've responded but I was later told it was the daughter who owned the dog, and under questioning admitted I should never have been let in the store until the dog was secured in the back away from customers. Since this all happened I've come to the conclusion that that's not truth at all, otherwise she would've taken control of her dog and the situation, at least try to apologize to me, maybe even attempt to calm and soothe me. The "supposed" dog owner never so much as said a word to me or scold the dog. She was simply there while the mother tended my wounds and mentioned the dog was currently in training. Though the couple did tend my wound, apologize, and not charge me for resizing the ring, you would think a monetary compensation of some sort would be in order, instead of the steadfast refusal to accept any of the responsibilities for the horror and injury their dog instilled upon me and still resides inside my soul to this very day. These are not caring nor compassionate people, let alone truthful (no one can remember who allowed my entry? What? ) as if that should matter at all? No they were so ignorant of their responsibilities as store owners allowing a dog with dangerous propensities in their store, that the very next morning "Faust" was out and about, causing such a commotion, animal control asked that they put the dog in back in order to conduct his job. They showed that what was most important to them was the security of their inventory, over and above the safety of their customers. A word of advice: USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN VISITING THESE PREMISES! You are truly using your own devices. I would not wish such a harrowing and completely terrifying experience on my worst enemy!

    Look at this!

Maurice, the owner of Master Jewelers, is just that...a master at his craft. He will give you top quality service, as well as the very best products to complete your perfect jewelry dream. I like my diamond rings to be one of a kind, never to be seen on anyone's hands, but mine. Between Maurice and his wife, they always make it happen When Maurice gives a suggestion, it's based on decades of experience and always providing top notch finished items! No need to negotiate a price, because he isn't a multiple store chain, he's way above those places and will give you the best price possible!

I don't believe you could find a more knowledgeable professional to work on your jewelry. I took my grandmother's vintage wedding set (which I passed down to my daughter) in because it had become unwearable. Maurice was able to rebuild the entire ring and restore it to its original beauty, completely keeping the integrity of the initial design intact. He was so knowledgeable on jewelry of this period (circa 1930). He and his wife are such caring people, and the pride that they take in their craft shines through. They are fair, honest, and extremely talented. I recently had my own wedding ring rebuilt there as well after another shop did a complete hack job on it. I would not take my jewelry anywhere else. True Artisans!!!

I have a couple unique rings my sister has given me. I'd like to have them cleaned and sized. Also, I'd like to have them added to my Insurance Policy. Do you do appraisals?

Yes, we do cleaning, sizing, and appraisals! Sorry for the delayed response, we have had a family medical situation and have been absent for a few weeks.

A machinist & single, considering such an expensive watch must have taken him a long time to earn the cash to purchase such a beautiful time piece. He only wore it for special occasions. It is in excellent condition. Not a scratch on the watch crystal (face). The wind up stem broke about 6 months ago. I was devastated. Who could I trust to fix my dad's watch? The answer, Paul's Watch repair in Sacramento! 100 miles from Chico! A multi-generational watch repair business going back over 125 years in Romania and then brought over to the US where the family business has been located in the Sacramento area since 1989! Please read their history on their webpage. The watch wind up stem was replaced within a week and my dad's watch is good as new! The service provided to me by Paul Jr. was professional, courteous and this senior gentleman a few years older than myself, was kind and informative. BTW: We both look much younger than our ages! Paul patiently explained the mechanism of my watch that needed to be repaired. He also shared with me his knowledge of how to maintain the operation of a watch that has no battery or wind up stem. It continues to operate with motion. I have two of these watches. All while continuing to work on a repair of one of many watches they fix daily. Many arrive from other US states! I also met his son Raimond, who was busy in the back on watch projects. If you have a watch repair or would like an education or suggestions regarding your watch or watches in general, research no further! Take a drive to Paul's Watch Repair or mail your precious time piece to their business location for repair. You will not be disappointed! The cost for the repair of my Dad's watch was reasonable and they replace watch batteries while you wait, maybe 5 minutes!

First of all, I understand your frustration, but what I don't understand is how you generalized me…read moreinto a category of people who "modify" watches in a condescending way while just raising your voice the entire conversation. Raimond, please learn to be humble, respect your dad, and also learn how to treat/respect your customers. Heads up to anyone bringing an expensive watch or a lower priced watch to this shop, Raimond the son will not care if he leaves dust in your watch and just blame it on manufacturing defects as an excuse of his lack of craftsmanship. Also, I didn't even notice the scratch you left on my watch from swapping the glass and this plus that whole situation that happened is why I am leaving a one star. You are not competent to be repairing watches if you can't swap a crystal without leaving dust in the watch and scratching the watch in the process. I brought in my new Seiko watch that I had purchased weeks prior to changing out the crystal. Paul the shop owner said it would be $40 and to give them a couple of days. The job was done hours later on the same day, but I picked it up days later. On arrival I inspected the watch in the shop for any dust and there was a lot. I gave it back to Raimond who had said his father Paul had swapped the glass and that he himself would remove the dust. I came back days later after it was done and I again inspected it. There was still a lot of dust so I told Raimond about it and this is where he got heated and started raising his voice blaming the quality of the watch and sapphire glass. He said "all you Seiko people who want to modify your watches always have something to say when you get your watches back. Of course you will see dust when looking at it under a macro lens". (I was looking at it with my bare eyes in the shop) I calmly talked to him telling him that it is not the watch face or crystal because before bringing it here it was brand new, I inspected it when I purchased it and it had never been opened before. He goes on yelling on how he got into an argument with his dad on how his dad who swapped the crystal first should have done a better job. He then brought up how some Rolex have defects and that my watch since it is a Seiko, is guaranteed that it will have defects. He kept going on about how it was not dust and it was the watch face or the crystal. This entire time his father Paul is sitting next to me while his son is yelling and I was not trying to argue with this man in front of his dad who is a lot older. I felt sorry for Paul and how his son Raimond handled this situation. Eventually we did not get anywhere, Raimond said he would not open it back up because he was set on that it was manufacturing defects on the watch face or crystal. For future customers hopefully this review is a warning on how Raimond treats his customers. Paul seemed like a cool guy when I met him on the first day that I dropped off my watch. Raimond, if you don't have the skill to do a job like this just tell me and I will take it to another watch shop instead of yelling at me and blaming it on manufacturing defects on the watch or crystal. Just own up to your mistakes like a grown man that you are and don't act like a child throwing a tantrum.
