When the people at MH insisted that Ferrari Wedding Gown Cleaners were the best in the biz for delicate fabrics, I knew they had to be good. Ferrari is totally across town from their store, so this wasn't a case of plugging their neighbor. They were right. Ferrari made my dress look absolutely new. It's beautifully pressed and preserved in acid-free tissue, stored very neatly in a white box, with easy care instructions affixed to it (which the lady detailed to me in person). They also held it for me for a few weeks after it was done, without hassling me in any way. It takes time (at least a few weeks) and can be a bit pricey depending on fabric. And it is a bit of a drive from the city (but there's a little parking lot outside. And! You can drive thru). All things considered, absolutely worth it.

Recently I went to another place to get them fixed and I was so disappointed in the quality, they hardly lasted a couple of week before they wore down. Also the sole was not cut to the right size of my shoe, and I had this ugly overhang. The other place did not seem interested in fixing the shoes or take any interest in my concerns. I found Shoe Express in Forest Hill and he quickly explained what had gone wrong and how he would fix it. He was able to fix the shoes on the spot! They heels he used look really sturdy, I think they will last a whole year at least! Now my go-to for shoe repair, engraving and key cutting.
