The High Line Art Go…read morein the Spring. The flowers are beautiful!! Nowadays you have not only the beautiful flowers but there's plenty of art on display. The art doesn't die in Winter like the flowers. There's always something to see. There's plenty of photo opportunities too. The architecture along the High Line is art in itself. I'm a fan. I want to commend the people that raised all the funds to preserve this historic landmark. A wonderful job in this Urban Space!! It's really come a long way since I started visiting here years ago. New benches and the walking paths are metal. I like the industrial feel. I usually have a long walk before I arrive. I can't walk the complete High Line. I usually return to walk sections at a time now. It's a nice place to visit. I like to return as much as possible. When you visit NYC make sure you research the history of the High Line. It's a very historic place. Keep your eyes open for the art forms that run from one end to the other.

Since I am still fearful of going indoors to restaurants or shops I walk the city I gotta Yelp don't I. And I was just walking down Broome St & Lafayette and so I look up and see another mural. Oh if only I was an artist what would I do to plain walls. l do a Google hunt I find this mural is called "Double Cross" by an artist that goes by the name of D*Face So looking at the mural I am thinking what's that in her hands, they look like flying mechanical pets, and why she crying? someone please explain, oh well I like it anyway. D*Face is a contemporary British street artist best known for his distinctive graffiti, stickers, and posters placed in various cities around the world and not just New York. This is the parkway I use when I get into queens via the RFk bridge to Astoria , the airports,…read morecitifield, flushing , etc. It's about 15 miles long and when you hit the Nassau county border it becomes the northern state parkway. For me it's a convenient parkway for my travels for the parts of queens I need to go to and for the most part , roads are smooth , signs are easy to understand and lighting at night is decent . During morning and evening rush hour the traffic can be a bit much but just get off and go local for a few miles if you are inpatient. 4 stars on my yelp meter .

There's honestly so much to do outside of just shows - dance lessons, stage combat workshops, stage tours, etc. If you enjoy theater, it's a must if you ever find yourself in New York City.

The Theater District is alive with excitement at show times. It's a feeling I get being there because you feel so much history. So many lives dedicated to performing before a live audience. Historic buildings. The lights of the Marquees. Hidden entrances and exits. I love the billboards. It's fun to help each other take photos out front on the day of a show. Everyone waiting in line becomes chatty. We all have a camaraderie by the time the doors open. Then there's the Restaurants nearby. Go to eat before a show or after. It doesn't matter. It's part of the night out and the routine we have on show days. There's so much to do and see in the theater district. Remember, you have to be sure you get to the show on time! I could go on and on. Some days I go just to hang around. You don't have to go to a show to enjoy this neighborhood. I had a personal project to take photos of the theaters. I'm posting them here. When I look at them I get the exciting feeling just like on the day of the show. I hope you enjoy. If you visit NYC going to a show and dinner, or lunch, is a thing I recommend. It's the heart and soul of NYC!

Isamu Noguchi's Red Cube is located in downtown Manhattan. It's a modernist sculpture nestled in…read morethe towering architecture of the Financial District. It was originally installed in 1968 at Broadway in Lower Manhattan. The Red Cube is a public art piece by the Japanese American artist Isamu Noguchi. The sculpture is not a perfect cube though! It's a distorted, elongated rhomboid that balances on one of its corners with an opposite point. The composition is red painted steel and aluminum! It's quite fascinating, especially surrounding all of the skyscrapers in lower Manhattan! It's located across from Zucotti Park, and is considered a landmark within the Financial District. When I had visited on a Thursday evening after work, there were a lot of tourists and even food vendors nearby! I've been wanting to visit this artwork for a few trips now and I'm finally glad I had a chance to stop by and see it!

Isamu Noguchi (1904-1988) is an art and landscape architect. And if you've never seen a Noguchi table, you're missing out. The cube stands on a point like a rolling die and therefore is exceptional to all the straight up and down lines all around Manhattan. As well, the bright red painted steel contrasts with the blacks and concrete and glass. The center of the cube has a cylindrical hole. So of course, the eye is drawn to the feature. I love that there are multiple ways to travel here with cross town buses and different trains. Lots of great food and spa spots in the area. And def great for shopping and entertainment. Not to be confused with Jealousy, which is what I feel towards people that live around here…read more There's a club district here, and most times I come to Chelsea it's late at night to hang out with all the sexy people, and try and be among them, and hope that someone sees me as sexy people. Chelsea is a beautiful neighbourhood filled with historic row houses and fancy businesses. Here you will find lots of hipster brunch stuff. Some chains as well. It's a perfect part of Manhattan just a little bit away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square, but well within walking distance. It's a lovely part of the island and although I'm priced out of living here anytime soon, I do love coming over here, and it's also next to most of the great nightlife and clubs. I don't love the food around here, but I do love the girls.

Globe Sculpture at Columbus Circle - This modern globe sculpture caught my attention with its…read moredesign and symbolism. It's a very photogenic feature that nicely complements the dynamic atmosphere of Columbus Circle. I liked how it contrasts with the surrounding architecture while still fitting naturally into the urban environment. A nice addition to a walk and a great quick stop.
