The exteriors are distinctive for having two entrance doors: a big one for adults, and a half-height one for children. It's an attractive idea, and certainly eye-catching. Inside, it's well organised, with gifts separated clearly defined by age, sex (where appropriate) and price. It most closely resembles the early learning centre in the UK. Most of the toys have an educational element, even if they're primarily for play, and the labelling is great for ham-fisted childless Uncles and God-parents looking for something age appropriate but otherwise clueless about what is right (and safe) for your average four-year old. You pay for this helpfulness, of course, but the quality seems worth it. Service is pretty good if you want help, although queues can form at busy times of year, not helped by the habit (otherwise charming and helpful) of gift-wrapping purchases at the small till. Beware that it is standard at Christmas and before Three Kings (Epiphany) to tape a free lollipop to every gift-wrapped item. It seems like a thoughtful touch, but I suspect in most households the little darlings are likely to have had far too many sweets already. They'll forego them if you ask.

I can't comment on the women's wear, but the men's section here has a wide range of good basics, although some of the clothes are a bit fussy for my liking. They also have some formal wear, accessories and men's grooming products. The sizing of things like t-shirts can also seem rather conservative, so it's best to try items on first.

Their selection isn't huge but what they do have is nice; it isn't super outlandish or flamboyant - if that's what you're looking for, there are plenty of other stores in the neighborhood that have the skimpy clothing that you might only wear here in Sitges. I wandered into their store looking for a t-shirt that would remind me of my visit here and ended up buying a tank top and a polo shirt! A unexpected and rather pleasant surprise given that I'm fairly picky. The owners are from Cuba (friendly and helpful).

ES and Addicted focus their designs on the Spanish and European gay men esthetic, mostly summer swimwear, underwear, tops and shorts. Perfect for the Circuit party and outdoor, beach lifestyle. It's a must stop for the gay tourist in Sitges. I always find a few items to try on and purchase at pretty good value discount. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Just figure out their seemingly odd open hours and work around siesta! The store temporarily closes in the off-season and reopens as the gay tourists return to Sitges.

The men's department had some great clothing options, with different styles depending on your taste. I really liked their pricing as well since there was a range of economical to high-end...there really was something for everyone. Since this location is outside of the main city center of Barcelona, most people don't speak English, but they did a great job of trying to communicate, which I definitely appreciated. If you're in the area, it's worth a visit.

When we first went to Vilanova, we were rather worried that we might not be able to buy all the…read morefairly-traded staples that we use in the UK. But we need not have worried, as this very small but very friendly branch of the Spanish Fair-trade chain, linked to the world-wide Oxfam organisation, sells most of what we need. It has now become a regular port of call. Unlike Oxfam in the UK, there are no second-hand items here: the bulk of their stock consists of fairly-traded craft products from around the world, most of them hand-made: there are crockery and glass items (vases, mugs, tea-sets, candle-holders), throws, bed-spreads, oven-gloves, cushion covers, writing and jewellery boxes, lots of candles, rain-sticks, toys - most of which would make excellent gifts. There are some books, mostly aimed at children. There is also a limited range of clothing (including T-shirts, sweat-shirts and real Panama hats), and staple food lines - rice, pasta, honey, tea, coffee, cocoa, biscuits and other nibbles, chocolates and much more (well, I suppose chocolate counts as a staple?). The staff (all volunteers) are extraordinarily friendly, if occasionally a little amateurish - but you can forgive a lot in return for their smiles!
