There are balls to borrow so you don't have to bring your own. I called ahead to confirm that a court would be open since they always have other activities going on. We walked on the track upstairs. They have a little sitting area we were able to pack a picnic and snack before going to the pool. The pool entrance has several family bathrooms to change in. Plus the locker rooms. In the locker rooms they have a nice sauna so you can warm up. The pool area the kids love since it is spacious and divided into sections. The younger one enjoyed the water play area and the older ones enjoyed the slide. They were able to go over and over again with little wait. Overall a lot of fun for a family. Cost about $10 per person for a day pass.

We started back last week and we spoke with a young lady, Heidi, who was such a big help. And very pleasant. Everything is so organized and it is spotless there. Even the restrooms. When we are there, we see a gentleman, Ray, working very hard to keep it clean. He is doing an exceptional job. We have tried other facilities and this one is the best one we have been to. So pickleball was a smash hit. Then I went into the club to get a beer, a tour, and a membership. I was pleasantly surprised by all the amenities that they offer. They have weights, a walking/jogging tracking, a steam room, a bar, a lounge, TVs, ping pong, shuffleboard, pilates classes, cardio fitness equpment, indoor & outdoor tennis courts, outdoor pickleball courts, volleyball courts, basketball courts, indoor golf, soccer/lacrosse field, and updated locker rooms. There's a lot going on here compared to other health clubs in the area. I spoke with the general manager, Val, and she was super friendly and down to earth. We had a draft beer from the bar, while we chatted and watched tennis on TV. I really liked the vibe that this place has and I am hoping to start using the weight machines and pickleball often.

There are several toiletries available for use in case you forgot anything, and a separate area with large mirrors for getting ready after your work out. The facility offers a full-size basketball court, walking track, and with several weight/fitness equipment options. I have never been a member of this club, but have visited as a guest many times. It is tucked away in an industrial parkway area of Fairlawn, so you need to be alert when searching for the building.

I immediately got my family out, but shockingly, they continued children's swimming lessons in that same pool, exposing everyone to potential infections and harmful bacteria like E. coli. I was very surprised, as the staff usually reacts strongly to smaller issues. For example, when I first signed up, one of the female staff members, a very thin brunette, aggressively and disrespectfully yelled at my family and another woman with her daughter over a simple mistake--we brought a floaty, unaware it wasn't allowed. We aren't allowed to use noodles or dive with goggles unless we're paying for swimming lessons. How does that make sense? While some staff members are nice, others act like we're uninvited, unwelcome guests in their house, enforcing unnecessary and unreasonable rules in a rude and bossy manner. This is the first pool I've ever been to where noodles are banned, but apparently, swimming with dead birds is okay. I gave 2 stars because the pool is really beautiful and the water is often warm and pleasant. Too bad for everything else.

I remember texting my friend Vlad because I was so excited to use the sauna at the Strongsville Rec. Center. He said that I probably would find Russian men in the sauna which I did, 2 of them (apparently Russians love saunas which is cool...haha). I am writing this review a year later, in Feb. 2025. A day pass cost me about $10, if I can remember correctly. I like that this option exists because I don't have to join as a member to use the gym and sauna. GYM/POOL/SAUNA -- At the upstairs gym, I used the stair master and walking track. I also noticed that they have a weights room downstairs but I didn't use it because I didn't have a lot of time. I then used the sauna and steam room downstairs. I stayed in the sauna for about 10 mins and I stayed in the steam room for about 5 mins. The sauna is very small but manageable. There were 3 men in there when I entered. I appreciate that there is a camera inside incase of any emergencies. The steam room is a bit bigger which felt nice. It feels good to be spaced out between people. TIPS -- I recommend bringing a towel to sit on while you're in the Sauna and Steam room. Bring a water bottle too. Also, bring a padlock and key to lock your bag and clothes in the changing room (locker room). I didn't bring a lock because I didn't realize that I would need one so I carried my wallet with me while I used the gym and sauna. Now that it is winter as I'm writing this review, I want to return to the sauna and steam room. The whole gym and pool/sauna area gets very crowded so I recommend that you arrive early.
