Today, I received my homes garage attic termite treatment. Steve was so wonderful, I started wondering if I raised him (lol). He was on time, professional, detailed oriented, and thorough (Yay!). He even cleans up his mess. He education me as we discussed termites and the importance of prevention and annual evaluations. When I started talking too much, he gently concluded the conversation. We've been Massey customers (previously Middleton) since 2006 and had service both in Clermont and now in Winter Haven. We've never had any problems with scheduling, office staff, or with technicians showing up. Just had our annual termite inspection and Karen did a wonderful and very thorough job. Our lawn and shrub technician, Kennedi, is very knowledgeable and listens and answers any questions. All of the staff at Massey do a great job! read more

Stay away as far as you can with this company, I would not even trust them growing a weed I canceled my service two months ago and they came and treated my yard so I had to pay for something that I didn't not even want. They sent me a nasty letter stating that I owe them $84 for they will do a mechanic lien against my property. I requested an e mail confirming that an account had been closed and to discontinue my auth to have my account being drafted by credit card/since I ended up paying unnecessarily for an account that I thought was closed but was not. I used this company for pest management and was very happy with the results, friendly staff and always responded to questions and concerns. Till I decided to use themg for lawn service. DO NOT USE THEM FOR LAWN SERVICE. I was having some challenges with back and front yards. I used the service for 4 times and never saw improvement in the back yard, I called them after the 1st application to ensure the backyard was treated and was ensured it was. THEY ADVERTISED 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE, this is false. After the 4 application and the backyard looking worse I requested to cancel service and enact the guarantee policy on my last application. Last time I called I was told that does not apply to your service and only good for 30 days! I never remember seeing these policies and feel this is false advertising. I have called numerous times, get different answers and always told I will talk with a manager and they will call you back with in a day. I have never been called back from a manager , but I have gotten voicemails asking for payment and now a letter in the mail! read more

We contracted with Massey in September of 2022 to take over for the old pest control company that we had to fire. Massey is professional, economical, and at the beginning of the contract, very effective. Our technician is a happy, friendly guy who had a key to our old Arrow boxes, saving the cost of replacing the boxes. However, as the summer dragged on, we saw less and less of our technician. It was explained to us when we signed the contract that Massey would only schedule four visits for the year, but that we could call them anytime if we needed them. I was good with that at the time, but I think when we prepay the year this year, we're going to ask for every other month. The service is every bit as complete as you see on TV. Until this fall we didn't have a problem with any bugs or pests. We've recently seen some ants in the kitchen and I'll give them a call on Monday. So, here's why I'm only giving them three stars: 1) I think they would be more effective if they visited more often than once per quarter. 2) I wasn't able to see when the next scheduled appointment was. Something that would help me decide to call or not call when I notice a problem. 3) Communication is very sparse. I do get the ads for a "free" termite inspection. I tried to schedule the technician to come out to take advantage of the termite inspection but on the day he was supposed to visit, he was a no-show. None of the pest control companies that I've worked with have given a 5-star effort to keep my business. Massey comes closest because of how effective and obliging they have been. I'm looking forward to renewing our service with them if they'll only set up an appointment. read more

I had Massey spray my lawn that had weeds . After several applications I saw NO difference in the weeds. I contacted the office and the person answering the phone said the manager would contact me, a week went by and no call. I then contacted corporate and they in turn put me back in contact with the local office and again the person on the phone said the manager would call and again I received NO call. I did ask for the return money guarantee and maybe that is why I got no reply. The company did not even care to come out and discuss the issue. It has been over 2 months and they just brushed me off. I would think twice about this company, They make it sound so nice to your face when they are trying to get your money but when there is an issue it seems they just brush it off and don't even try to resolve any issues so I would think twice about having this company do your lawn. read more

I have had a lot of problems with my service with poor communication from all managers and associates including Melissa, Walter, and Eddie. Lack of effort and recovery from a guest service stand point. My grass looks awful. I wish I never signed up with this company!!! Customer service is a joke, their treatment plan is sparse, their billing is ridiculous. I can not express enough how much I regret signing up with this company. We paid our bill quarterly and we rarely saw the pest service person. We had to continue to call them out just to finish the service from the previous month. There was always a story as to why the job wasn't finished. The billing got messed up and that's the only time they want to have contact with us. They're definitely quick to contact you if they think you owe them money, but if they owe you service it seems like an inconvenience to them. We really got tired of having to fight and argue to get the service we paid for - we went to another pest service company and I suggest whoever is reading this heed my warning! read more

Customer service is horrible. Tech came to my house, I opened the door, she said she is here for service. She started doing her thing in the front, I'm inside waiting for her to do the inside and back and she just leaves. Nice enough to leave a note in my door saying to call to have the indoors and back done because gate was locked. I WAS HOME! You just talked to me! So I call "customer care" make an appointment by a totally unfriendly person who was less friendly after should found out I was not a new customer nor did I want new services. She made me an appointment for a week out. Appointment time comes and goes. I call the same number. They transfer to my "local office" and that totally rude lady said "I don't know why anyone would make you an appointment for today" I say back "don't call me a liar" I have one. She says "customer made it for you but all technicians are in a training today". When I asked why they would schedule me and then on top of that no one call me to say no one is coming she says"it's customer cares problem not mine I can have someone come out tomorrow". I paid for a year of service and luckily that year is up in Feb. I will not be renewing. Not for this one instance but for many I have tolerated. They never call before coming, give you a hard time if you ask for them to come treat the inside of the house, sweep the under hang and leave crap all over your porch and best yet, never do more than the 3 feet in front of the perimeter of the front of my house. $400 a year for horrible service. This office is horrible so if you live in Winter Haven choose someone else for your bugs! ****The appointment made after the aforementioned call, they never showed. When I called I was told their systems were down and they don't know if I even had an appointment. When I asked for a refund for my prepaid services she says she can't do that. I asked for a manager and "Bruce" was unavailable and they had no GM currently. I am completely done with Massey and going to Central Florida Pests. They have great reviews and several trucks live in my neighborhood and all have beautiful homes and yards. read more

If I could give no stars I would. I canceled my service and 3 months later received a bill for services that were never done. Customer service told me the bill would be zeroed out... 1 call a month ( to customer service) for 4 months and the bill is still not taken care of. Sad part I talked to the manager. Massey Greenup Landscape Services just helped us out with two projects. We had some patches of grass that were dying. They came out, treated the areas and recommended that they re-sod the areas. The estimator came out, explained his plan, marked off the areas. A guy soon came and replaced it all. Next, when we moved into our new home, we couldn't find many of the irrigation system heads, plus they were spraying in odd areas and some didn't work at all. The irrigation guy came out, located several broken pipes, several cut wires, put in a system we could understand how to use, set all the irrigation sprays to reasonable areas that didn't waste water and got us up and running. We were really delighted with their help. read more

I agree with Nikki A, I had the same exact experience with them, I had to call them all the time to get them to come out and then all they would do is brush off the old spider webs and charge for full service (including perimeter spray) but the bugs where still there, finaly got tired, cancelled my service and bought some Bug Home Defense and glue traps at Home Depot and now even the spiders are dead, which they claimed they could not kill just control. I did however keep the termite service because of the guarantee, but I think that is all I will ever buy from them. read more

This company is awful. My apartment complex uses their services, and when I buy my home I will NEVER use them. The guy came by here and got angry because we requested preventative spraying. He stormed to his truck, came back and sprayed the floor, yes the floor, not the boards or cupboards. Then he stormed out in a huff, I have never seen anything like it, it was crazy. We called last week to have Massey come out and help us take care of a rodent problem. Our inspector, Harry, was wonderful! Very friendly, thorough, knowledgeable, and reassuring that they would resolve our problem. The technician, Bruce, came out this morning. Plugged all possible entries and set traps. He was great, too! Even helped me remove a dead rat! Harry came back out to give us quotes and set us up for full lawn and pest control services, since we've decided to receive all of their services. To top it off, Harry came back a 3rd time today to help replace screens for our attic vents! Exceptional customer service! I can't say enough good things about our experience, so far, and am really looking forward to becoming a customer! read more

We have had only one lawn spray service company for the past six years. Totally satisfied with Massey. We receive a service every other month for the lawn. Used to have patches of dead or diseased grass when I did my own lawn maintenance. Since we have been with Massey, all grass problems are a distant memory. We now have one of the best lawns in our neighborhood. All the employees at Massey are friendly and helpful. They don't "cut corners" with their product or their efforts to do the job correctly. Good guys and good company. I would, and have, recommended Massey to anyone who is looking for a company to treat your lawn. read more

BEWARE!!!!!! I literally want to give negative stars. Their pest service is terrible. They're probably spraying water around my property because the 1 year I had them, I was treating for ants, roaches, bees etc with products that I bought from Lowe's and did the job just fine. I watch the tech come by my house for service just stroll quickly around for no more than 5 minutes for a nice $85 service! I have called every time he came and they sometimes don't even show up and when o call they tell me there's no records of my request. When he does come back, he tells me I'm crazy and bugs or other pest are just normal in Florida. He tells me it's untreatable and should just accept it. If I was to accept roaches and ants in my house or bees building nest on my house than why did I hire Massey for?!?! The customer service is ridiculous and so call managers are completely useless to resolve anything.. the tech manager called me 3 months after my cancellation to make sure I was satisfied with my service. I cancelled!! That should of answered your question!!! Idk how this company still have customers because there's so many companies around that does the same for a cheaper rate. I'm glad I'm not paying $85 a service for some old retiree to come to my house and go through the motions for a couple minutes and leave me a check list of things he didn't even take care of.. customer service doesn't even resolve anything. All I can say is I have had several different lawn services and have never been satisfied with any of them. I thought I was going to lose my lawn and have to have it replaced until I called Massey. They've only been treating it for about three months and already I look like I have a new lawn! I highly recommend them if you are considering a lawn service. Massey (Lakeland) did a rental house (1200 sq ft) for less than 1 year ago for $1,000. I then called the Massey (Winter Haven) and they quoted me $1,800 for a second rental house which was much smaller (900 sq ft). When i brought up the far cheaper rate for the smaller house he tried to justify it with a BS answer that the house is a joist vs a slab and therefore a much more expensive job. After telling them I was going to shop around for more prices, he quickly called me back and magically able to reduce the price $600. Wow, again that. Then persisted calling over and over saying they could work with me on that price. I won't do business with a company that rips off their returning customers. Ended up finding a company to do the job for $900. Massey was going to charge a (ex) loyal customer double the reasonable rate. Good bye Massey. read more
