Long story short: we made the switch after swarms at our house were getting more frequent and our previous pest control company that we had a termite bond with just wasn't cutting it. After the first visit, termite activity completely disappeared for over a year. As you may know, without tenting your home, you can't ever fully get rid of termites, especially living in the Colonialtown neighborhoods. The large majority of older homes deal with it in some capacity. Our last two visits have just been quick spot treatments because of the protection and treatment we got the first time. We only ever have 1 or 2 small sites of activity a year (no more swarmst though), which is a huge improvement from the last company we used. All in all, we're happy with the service and recommend them for termite bonds. Every employee that's serviced our home has been on time, professional, and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend.

BEWARE SIMPLY SPRINKLERS - BRENT MAURIELL : SCAMMER Been in…read moreour house for 8 years & getting ready to repaint. The painter said to adjust the sprinklers so that they do not hit the house and discolor the paint (as they have). Spoke to Brent of Simply Sprinklers and explained what we needed for our 8,000 sq ft lot with 20 sprinklers, including a shrubbery zone: that they need to be adjusted to not hit the house, check to see if they need replacing or maintenance (it's been 8 years) and ensure the system times are correct. Brent said that is exactly what his $85 dollar tune-up does and he will identify any work that needs to be done. He and his associate spent about an hour on Friday, October 24th 2025 "looking" at my yard, then showed me a few flagged sprinkler heads. He said, a couple were clogged and two were too low to clear the grass. I said great! But, then his associate pulled the flags up so I would not be able to locate those sprinklers again. I had him wait (I have some old flags) until I put my own ($0.25 a piece) down. Why would they do that? Turned out it was a "cya" scam to cover any work they did or didn't do. Next day I replaced the clogged sprinkler, but noticed in that zone, that one sprinkler was hitting my house AND was only oscillating about 15 degrees instead of 180 degrees. Another oscillating sprinkler was broken (with the front part that holds a screw to reduce the distance missing so it was shooting about 20 feet out with nothing in between. Called Brent on the 26th and told him about the issues. Denied, denied, denied. He lectured me that those sprinklers only oscillate 90 or 180 degrees and it was rotating 180 degrees when they looked at it (12 hours earlier) and someone must have broken that other one in the same 12 hours since he checked because everything was working perfectly. Discussion ended after I suggested Simply Sprinklers had become complacent and if they saw any water spraying... it was okay. Today (31st) I checked the other zones & found more issues. Right side of the house has two sprinklers hitting it and two of the drip lines for my shrubs had no ends on them so water was just shooting out. Also, several sprinklers (not flagged) were too low and were not getting out past the grass but according to Brent, "But, it's wet back there so probably don't need to do anything." Unbelievable!!! I've adjusted, raised and replaced sprinklers as necessary so my system is once again working correctly. Simply Sprinkler's lack of professionalism and competence, and Brent's (IMHO) dishonesty and entitled attitude has prompted me to write this review. Hopefully, no one else will throw money away on this pretentious company that is incapable of the simplest job. They will take your money and run. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY WITH YOUR SPRINKLER SYSTEM!!!

My wife and I moved to Umatilla about a year ago. We quickly discovered that the seller of our…read morehouse either didn't tell us or didn't know about the carpenter ant infestation in the wall of a spare bedroom. We kept seeing the little buggers (pun intended) on the walls and finding small mounds of wood dust on my computer desk. We initially tried a mail order do-it-yourself pest control subscription, which the ants laughed at. Then the colder months hit, and the ants seemed to go dormant. When the 2nd spring rolled around we decided enough was enough, and shopped around for a pest control service. We selected Benjamin's "Pest Ref", and I wish we had just swallowed our pride during year one and went with him initially. Benjamin was wonderful. He inspected our home, put my wife's mind at ease that we DIDN'T have to worry about termites (as ants and termites are mortal enemies), and recommended a plan for getting rid of our ant problem. We found his rates to be extremely reasonable, even beating out the prices of the nation-wide pest control companies. He treated the house and let us know to expect more pest visibility at first (as they were being killed/driven out). He came back out 2 weeks later for a follow-up treatment, and I haven't seen a single ant since then! Benjamin was professional, sociable, and a complete pleasure to work with. He has followed up with us via telephone to ensure that the bugs have stayed away, and they have. We plan to remain with Pest Ref for as long as we own our home, and wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone looking to give freeloading bugs the boot!
