If I could give a negative star I would. ***Customer service is a lost art these days. On December 11, 2023 I contacted MassageLuxe in Wentzville and spoke to Libby. I told her that I wanted to set up an appointment for my friend for her 40th birthday. I explained that I needed to get her out of the house so that we can decorate her home. The surprise party is on Saturday the 6th in the afternoon. She was able to find a time (1pm-3pm) in her system. I gave her my credit card number to secure the appointment. I received a text from my credit card company showing $120 was charged to my card. She said I didn't have to come get the gift card as she would just keep it in the drawer for my friend for the appointment. Today (01/04/2024) at 6:18pm I get a call from Libby asking me if I was still on for my appointment on Friday, 01/05/2024, at 1pm. *Why would she call me at 6pm confirming a 1pm appointment for the next day. There is a 24hr cancellation notice so why call me that late in the evening? I said, I am sorry Libby you have the wrong date. The appointment is for my friend for Saturday at 1pm. She goes on to tell me that she is the one that made the appointment and she is very thorough at her job, and she NEVER makes mistakes. She never apologized. I told her I am SURE that I did not tell her Friday because the party is for Saturday and she will be at work on Friday. I then asked her if I could speak to a manager as she raised her voice with a great attitude and I couldn't accept her tone. She says there will not be a manager in until Tuesday of the next week. I asked her if there was anything she could do to help me. She said, I could call other MassageLuxe locations and find an appointment. I said, clearly this is not my mistake shouldn't she call around? She said no. I called around and finally found a MassageLuxe that could get my friend in around the same time. She apologized for the poor customer service that I received. I asked her what could have happened. She told me that she could find my transaction for the gift card but she could not find an appointment in the system. She said I should have received an email confirming my appointment. I checked my inbox and my spam mail. There was no email from MassageLuxe. Libby charged my card for the gift card and never made the appointment. She must have realized her mistake today and could not own it. Everyone makes mistakes, but to be rude and call me a liar without actually calling me a liar was horrible. Negative zero stars. She does Not need to be on the front line of this business. Poor representation. read more

Sorry to say, but the worst massage I have ever had. Requested a deep tissue, confirmed a deep tissue, received a rubbed down, similar to applying lotion. Cancelled the membership and I don't even want to use the remaining credits. Not worth the gas driving the 1.1 miles. Very disappointing. read more

Horrible. Deeply flawed. If you are a risk taker and go there despite my advice .....Double check what service they booked you for, and whether the therapist they reserved for you is even capable of the level of pressure you want. Ensure everything is in your current legal name bc they will go off what they have in their system for the phone number. God forbid you have a new-to-you phone number, or a family member booked the massage for you. All else fails, re-name and re-gender yourself to whatever name they have on file... Do all this 2 hours in advance otherwise you are outside the cancellation window. I will never spend another penny. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would . I went the first time and had Stephanie. She did great. I went the second time and had Katie and it was hands down the worst massage I have ever had in my life, if you can even call it a massage. She rubbed her hands on me with ZERO pressure literally just sat her hands on me, when I asked her if she could do it a little harder she said "nope don't think I can" on top of that she used almost no lotion, I think I have rug burn. Then to add on to it she sounded like she had COPD, kept breathing super heavy and coughing. Once on my face. If I was a frail 90 year old man that might have almost done it. Maybe not tho. The lady at the front did apologize and rescheduled my appointment but now I have to deal with this pain for another 3 weeks till my appointment. Unreal read more

My husband purchased a gift certificate for me several months ago and I have tried to get an appointment 8 -10 different times. They have never been able to make an appointment for me. I work a lot of hours and cannot make daytime appointments. When I complained and asked for a refund of my certificate they stated that they do not give refunds and that I could go to a different location. I do not have time to drive further to try to accommodate them. It appears that if you want a massage here you must be willing to wait about 3 weeks to get in. Too bad if you're hurting, they just don't seem to care. The General Manager is a joke. read more

I decided to get my first Swedish massage here last Sunday and am I glad I did!! The front desk folks are friendly. My masseuse Shaquille was very professional and gave a great massage that I went back for a second massage after a few days. Overall the place is very clean and the oils used during the massage smelled great. I will definitely go back to get another massage or two next time I am in town. What to expect if you are new to this location - you will need to come in 10mins before your appointment. You will be given a form to fill out (similar to a doctor's office) while sitting in the waiting area, which has water/coffee/tea and tranquil music with dim lights. Then your masseuse will come take you to your room and will give you further instructions based on the package you have chosen. read more

I've been going to massage luxe for close to three years and I have always had great experiences until today. I booked a 1 hour Swedish massage and it was horrible. I complained at the front desk, and the front desk ladies said "aw I'll make a note" and then continued to make me pay. When asked if I wanted to leave to gratuity, to which I responded no, I got several judgmental looks from the workers (I usually leave a generous tip) but I am not going to tip for a service I was disappointed in. The rude attitudes made me very upset and I am questioning my loyalty to this business. Go somewhere else. read more

MassageLuXe of Wentzville ripped me off. I was s spa member 5 years but because I got cancer, I was turned away and refused service. I was treated unfairly, like my cancer was contagious. The management refused to provide me service saying they would NOW require me to give them a doctor's release before giving me a massage. They refused to refund my money, saying that per the contract 2 months advance notice was required. Even though I had three hours paid in advance, I was told I couldn't get a refund and that I only had 6 weeks to use the time (provided I gave them a doctor's release); but because I was scheduled for major surgery that next week, which would require several months of recovery time, I was on able to meet that demand. You be the judge... Would you have refused me both Service and refund? read more

The worst place ever! I do NOT recommend this place at all. While the actual therapists are fantastic, the people running the place are complete jerks. They straight up lie to when it comes to your account. You pay for your hours through a membership & each month 1 hour accrues. There is no penalty for cancelling your membership but they give you the option to freeze your account for $5/month. You don't get to accrue hours during that time nor do you get to use any that you may have saved up. They don't tell you that. They tell you that any accrued hours are yours to use whenever you please. Until you go to schedule them to get caught up. Then they tell you you have to reactivate your account to use hours you already paid for or you simply lose them without getting your money back! Basically you have to pay more money to use hours you already paid for!! The front staff & assistant manager (Christian) are completely rude & not personal at all. When you walk into the office, the atmosphere is cold & it's as if you're an annoyance for bothering to come in. When you call to make appointments during regular business hours, sometimes the phone just rings & rings. No answer. I cannot believe how establishments like this can just steal money from its customers. Do NOT use Massage Luxe. Massage Envy all the way, that's a great friendly place that won't charge the pants off you!!!! read more

Beware - Sketchy business practices. It started when I went for my first massage at a promotional price. When checking out, I was told I could get another massage at the membership rate for no obligation...only to learn months later that I was signed up for a membership and they had been debiting my bank account for 5 months. When I discovered this and called to speak with the manager about it, she said that her employees were very tenured employees that they would never mislead someone. Ha! First of all I already had a membership elsewhere and would not have knowingly signed up for another membership. I also would not have provided my bank debit card information for a monthly membership. I would have used a credit card. I was only using my debit card that day to take care of the tip. Fast forward to today, I had 3 services left and was using two of them today...a facial and massage. My final massage was scheduled for next week. I inquired about my appointment next week only to learn that after today I had no remaining services left. I told them there must be a mistake. The woman said, no, your facial used up two services today because you upgraded to a "Hydra Medic" facial that uses an additional service. I want to emphasize that I did not ask for this type of facial. The esthetician told me she was going to focus on hydration and never mentioned that it would cost an additional service to the tune of $65. Shame on MassageLuxe and their sketchy business practices. I would not recommend going here or getting locked in to any memberships with a massage therapy business. Good riddance!! read more

Was given a Groupon as a gift for a massage and when making appointment requested a deep tissue massage. Upon arriving, I again stated to receptionist and then to the masseuse, also telling her that I can take a great deal of pressure. During massage I stated 2-3 times that she could go deeper, but nothing changed.....massage was deeply disappointing and non-relaxing and also cut short by 15 minutes although I did not realize it at the time.
