I had a great massage from massage team. The location is kind of strange, in an office building. But the price is right at $50 for an hour.

Used a groupon for a 60 minute deep tissue massage. It was very easy to make an appointment at a time convenient to me. Location was a bit hard to find, as the building is hidden and the massage suite is on the second floor. My therapist was Ray and he was very welcoming. The room was very peaceful and clean. The massage Ray provided was average at best. Granted it was firm, which I really like, his technique seemed very rushed and all over. He kept taking his hands off my body to walk to the dresser for more oil, which was distracting. They do have great massage packages, all equaling about 40 bucks an hour. Great price. I purchased a Groupon for a massage and had read reviews on yelp and Groupon beforehand. I am shocked that anyone could give this place a good review (although sounds like reviewers had a different masseuse). This was one of the worst massages I've ever had. The masseuse used a ton of oil (which is usually a bad sign because a good masseuse doesn't need a lot or anything) and he literally just went back and forth with zero technique. I would guess that this guy never took a massage class in his life. At one point I had to actually look up from the table to catch him on his phone. He never moved the bolsters to the correct position and the thin sheet that was on top of me barely covered anything. It was the most uncomfortable massage. Hard to believe the negative reviews on Ray's massages. He is professional and does a good massage for the price. I have not felt rushed and yes, hard to find the first time. There is no signage, except sometimes there is a minivan at the entrance to help you find the turn off. He has never walked in while I am "getting ready for the massage." I bought a Groupon Bottom line: I HAD A HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE. Allow me to explain - My appointment was initially at 5 but they sent me a text message that day of to ask if I can come in at 4:30 instead. I had no problem with that but around 3:30 they sent me another text asking if I can come in right now but I told them I can try to be there around 4:15 The location was incredibly difficult to find because it is a random building hiding next to the I-88 ( even my GPS was lost... I'M NOT KIDDING) but this kind man that happened to work in the building helped me and said that there are several massage places in that building. Therefore, I finally found it but I was 20 minutes late. When I got there I filled in a sheet with my information like any other place but when the man handed the clipboard to me.. WOAH his breath was stinky. I mean if you are working with costumers you need to check if you breath smells or not. I never got the name of the man that gave me my massage but I am assuming it is Ray because of the previous review given and the other is a woman. He instructed me to "get ready and lay faced down on the table" and he left the room. While I was getting undressed he knocked on the door three times and WALKED RIGHT IN !! WITHOUT GIVING ME A CHANCE TO RESPOND TO LET HIM KNOW IT IS OK TO ENTER!! I was so furious!!! If you have a female customer you do not just rush in after you knock!! WHAT IS THE POINT OF HIM KNOCKING IF HE IS JUST GOING TO WALK RIGHT IN! The only thing I had on was my panties and I JUST had enough time to cover my breast with my arm and shouted "CAN YOU GIVE ME A MINUTE" WHO DOES THAT? I have never had a therapist that just WALKED RIGHT IN AFTER THEY KNOCK WITHOUT A RESPONSE. I felt so uncomfortable after that. YES, I know I am getting a massage and he will see my body but I did not expect someone to walk right in while I am undressing! AFTER THAT I HURRIED ONTO THE TABLE He walked in and just poured uncomfortably hot massaging oil on my back! NO WARNING AT ALL! and the temperature wasn't even slightly above warm temperature it was HOT..... it didn't burn my back .. but it was enough to make me uncomfortable. After he poured hot massaging oil onto my back he then tells me he can only give me a 30 minute massage and I can't come back and redeem my other 30 minutes if I was to make another appointment ( I wish he let me know before I got on the table because I would have gladly reschedule the appointment at some other time ). Therefore, I got 30 minutes instead of 60 minutes. Before the massage I assumed he read my chart of information I gave him to let him know my problem areas and what I want worked on. NOPE... I know this because he barely spent more than one minute on my lower back. (So throughout the massage I repeatedly asked him to work on my lower back because that is the main reason I am there for. ) I know deep tissue massages are suppose to work out the knots and pain in your back but THIS MAN made my massage EXTREMELY PAINFUL. I always like a firm massage because I like a lot of pressure when I get a massage but when he worked on my right shoulder IT WAS SO PAINFUL THAT I SAID " OW!!" out loud and I have never done that before . Then he moved onto my left shoulder and that was even more of a torture that I had to poke my head up and pull shoulder slightly away and said to him " I'm sorry, but that is actually extremely painful " all he said was "OK" in a uncaring manner. His attitude throughout wasn't very nice. The massage went on and he kept walking back and forth to get more pumps of massaging oil. The best part was him massage my hands ( that felt really good and that was the only time I was actually relaxed and enjoying my massage ) Later on in the massage he kept tucking the towel lower and lower onto my back and it made a little uncomfortable because he didn't communicate with me to let me know what he was going to do. Near the end of the massage he put a towel on my back and he kept folding the towel by SLAPPING it onto my back like I was some kind of laundry table. It wasn't those kind of soft pat on your back it was an actual FIRM SLAP to fold the towel ( I DIDN'T"T UNDERSTAND WHAT WAS GOING ON! - I WAS SO CONFUSED) At the end he wiped my back and arms down. When he wiped my back down it was all right but when he got to my arms HE WIPED MY ARMS SO HARD that I felt a HOT and PAINFUL sensation after he moved on to the next arm... and I realized after I left the massage place that I GOT RUG BURNED! .... BOTH ARMS WERE HOT AND PAINFUL like when you were climbing rope in gym class but instead this was my WHOLE ARM!!! I didn't notice until I got to my car that my boyfriend saw my arms had little red bumps on them from the rug burn he gave me from the towel... I will never go back! I walked in with a lower back pain but walked with a painful right shoulder pain, rug burned arms, my lower back pain was still there and a taste of anger. read more

I had a very good massage this afternoon with Ray. It was very professional and very relaxing, perfect thing to do the afternoon before Thanksgiving. I also had no problem finding the building and office. Turn south on Midwest Rd. from 22nd St. First driveway is for Walgreens. Second driveway is for 2208 building. I need some feedback from Yelp reviewers who went to Massage Team in Oak Brook. I went there 1x before. They followed up with the confirmation of appointment and massage was fine. Now , March 19, 2018, I have a problem and question: They don't answer their phone number 630-401-2931. Their voicemail announcement tells you to just 'text your appointment request.' I have texted them 2 times, and they don't reply. You cannot leave a message at the phone number above because it says "The voice mailbox is full." For a business not to reply and confirm an appointment in more than 1 week is not a good business practice. I question whether they are still in business. Please advise with anyone else's input. I can't believe all the terrible reviews because I absolutely loved my massage. I did however have a woman and I have never experienced Ray so maybe he is not so good. But my experience with this woman was so great. I have gotten a few massages at massage envy and they have been a little below average, but here she applied exactly the right pressure and worked on the areas I told her I wanted to focus on. She didn't talk my ear off like some people I've had before and she checked every so often to make sure I was comfortable. I like massages to have a lot of pressure because my shoulders and neck are always so messed up and she was firm but it was not painful where I was hurting when I left like I have had before also. Anyway, I walked out of here feeling very pleased and the prices are great. I will definitely go back but I may try to avoid ray from all these horror stories :) read more

I came here because I bought a Groupon , so I did read the reviews before buying because like any review, you just never know. So for $30 I figured you can't go wrong with a 60 min massage. The location is a little confusing getting to, but if you put it in your gps it will be fine. I did find making the appointment very easy, you correspond via text and they send you a confirmation with the address which I liked . When I got there I found the place to be clean with a calm atmosphere. I believe the man's name was Ray and I think he owns the place. He was very nice and professional. I have had many many massages and this one wasn't so great , again it was $30 so I went in with very low expectations. It was just fair, I wouldn't recommend and I will not be back, I would rather spend a few more dollars for a place I know where I have had a great massage. read more

Okay, first off, this place doesn't even deserve one star. I just had to give it one otherwise I couldn't write a review. With that being said... If you are looking to add more stress to your life, then this is the place to go! Not only is the place difficult to find, the set up of the office building is not very presentable. Another interesting aspect to this "business" is that they communicate via cell phone. So if they decide they're busy you'll get a text saying 'can't talk, please text'-- and a lot of good that will do if you are calling to find the location, or request any type of changes to the appointment you made previously. I actually couldn't find the location, and received a text 20 mins after my apt time saying it was "south of walgreens." Just how many walgreens are there in America? And needless to say, the texting went on. When I found the place, I was incredibly displeased by the shoddy set-up and not to mention the lack of comfort. However my worst complaint about this place by far is that they have the WORST customer care I have ever experienced!! Actually, they have no concept of customer care at all [extremely rude and stand-offish]... and they don't value building a relationship with their clientele. My advice- take your business to a place that deserves it, and a place that you are a valued consumer. read more
