What are holidays for if not to book yourself in for indulgent massages at 10am on a Wednesday morning? Yep, that's what I thought when I strolled down Darby Street and saw that what was a nail salon on my last visit is now a massage parlour. Even more to my delight was the sign out front with this week's special of a 25 min neck and shoulder massage, 20 min foot spa and 20 min reflexology foot massage for $55. You best believe I was through that door faster than Usain Bolt at the Olympics. Only open 3 months, this dynamic duo have a simple set up. It's not the full day-spa level of luxury but it does the job. My massage therapist was responsive when I asked for the massage to be a little lighter and the reflexology session may or may not have seen me drift off into a mid-morning nap. Definitely worth a stop in if you're looking for an affordable massage experience that won't take all day. read more

I've gone here for quite a while as they can be quite good. However, last week I had a massage with the masseuse sniffling and stepping away to blow her nose. This is can bear. Never hearing her wash her hands or smoosh them together with hand sanitizer afterwards I cannot (she stepped only just outside my 'room'). I've just spent my fourth day in bed away from work with what was a horrendous virus. Of course there is no assurance that this is where I picked it up, but it leaves one with little confidence and heading straight back to less convenient places where at least you know hygiene is a priority. read more
