Update to review: Although I had a less than stellar experience here, the regional manager has been extremely helpful. She was very kind, understanding, and made things right. It sounds like this location is going through some growing pains and hopefully they can improve on some things. ************ For my first massage I requested a female therapist. I showed up and it was a male therapist. He did an okay job but when he was finished he just left the room without saying anything. No instructions on what to do or that he'd meet me outside. When I signed up after the massage I was told there was a computer problem and they would set up my account later and call me the next day. I never got a call. I specifically asked about their cancellation policy and was told I could cancel anytime, just give them a 30 day notice. The next massage I booked I received two emails confirming my appointment and was called by an employee the day before also confirming my appointment. However when I showed up they said they had no record of my appointment. They didn't apologize or give any explanation. Just said there was no one available and they were closing early. A massage is supposed to be a relaxing event and I don't want to deal with a company that makes it more stressful therefore I asked to cancel. I was told that I signed up for the year and cancellation wasn't possible. I was lied to upon signing up because I was told I could cancel. I asked to speak to a manager and was told she wasn't available and would call me the next day. She never called so I called them and was told she wasn't there and again, I would get a call back from her another day. WOW really impressed with the staff and massages here! I get a massage every month now and the last 2 I have had have been at this location of Massage Heights and both therapists I had were both excellent! We chatted a bit about where my trouble spots and they both did a great job and I left feeling new and alive! The massage rooms are also comfy and nice! You get to pick some aroma therapy too! The massage was just fine and just what I expected. But the therapist made clear while I was having the massage that she didn't believe covid was a big deal, wouldn't get the vax, didn't like public school social studies curriculum, and the riots made it so that white people couldn't even walk the streets in South Carolina. I get that people have different views than me. It's fine. I tried to steer the convo into neutral territory. I didn't want to be confrontational when someone was working on my back. But please keep yourself views neutral especially when working with someone you have never met and don't know a thing about. It's just good business. read more

My wife bought me a gift package for Christmas that they were advertising. 4 massages for the price of 3 With a foot scrub included. On the first massage I was charged $19 apparently the foot scrub is not on this card. The next massage I did not get the foot massage but they charge me $39 when I asked why they said it was because I did not buy a membership after the first massage. Now they are telling me on the two remaining cards it's only good for one massage. We feel this package was an entire bait and switch rip off they are making no I effort to correct. It makes absolutely no sense for someone to buy a gift package and have the recipient have to pay money at the end. read more

I had a massage with Sam and she was incredible. She made sure I felt comfortable in every way possible, added an essential oil for extra relaxation and really focused on the area I asked her to (upper back). Her deep tissue work was never painful and released so much tension in my muscles. She gave wonderful recommendations for massages going forward and I never felt uncomfortable for any reason. My back is really tough to work on - I have some major knots and a lot of muscle tension due to an active lifestyle and stressful job, and I always crack my joints to relieve tension. That being said, my massage therapists at this location have never been afraid to bring it - they rub out as much as they can, and are not afraid to push hard and use muscle. I have been to other companies for massages before and none have been nearly as effective on helping my back like Massage Heights is. I also received prenatal massages while pregnant, and even then my massage therapist at this location was not afraid to be firm on my back and give it a thorough working. In addition, the smelling oils and hot stones really enhance the experience. I almost treat my massage appointments as doctor appointments instead of pleasurable massage appointments because they are so effective, but it's really both! The only small complaint I have, like a couple others here have mentioned, is that my massages that are supposed to be 60 minutes are usually only about 50. I arrive on time and everything and don't get called back until 2 minutes after my appointment was supposed to begin, but then another 5 minutes goes to telling them what I need and then they leave so I can undress. Then they finish early so I can get dressed. It'd be better if they made ten minute buffer slots in the interest of giving a full 60 minute massage, but also give time for communicating the purpose of the visit and changing time. But they are so good I continue to book here because they are the only people who actually work on my back and make it feel better. read more

I have lived in other states/countries and have had too many massages to count. Miranda is by far the best massage therapist I have ever encountered in the U.S. Her technique is so fluid you are not aware of transitions with the hot stones. She is excellent in her ability to find the connections that are causing the issue(s) and using more than one technique to work it out. She always gives tips after to help prolong the release of tension/stress on your own. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for an experience beyond the usual average massage. I almost hate to put this review up, because right now she is the best kept secret... *Tip on the membership they sell: If you are one that doesn't like to commit, ask for the 6-month option. Once you experience the benefits of membership as a positive for you, then make the leap to a year. read more

It's always a great day at Massage Heights. This location is not overly busy so I'm able to book a massage last minute. The therapists are always friendly and take the time to work out all the knots. I typically go for the 60 minutes with the hot stone elevation. For the winter months I go for their peppermint foot scrub elevation. My feet are soft and tension free! read more

I called to change my reservation due to an unexpected change of events and called 3 hours before my reservation- not to cancel but just to reschedule. I didn't get an answer and the machine prompted me to leave a message and I would receive a call back. I did this and never received a call back until the time of my appointment. the girl on the phone clearly had no idea what she was talking about, was extremely hard to understand, was whispering to someone in the background and would at times randomly put me on hold. she told me she would "call me back" once she "figured out what to do". fast forward 3 more hours and I never got a call back but I did get a charge to my account. I called the place back and the same girl who still didn't appear to know what she was talking about and who I still couldn't hear/understands (maybe we need a different person to answer the phone). told me that they just charged my account. would not recommend massage heights as they have extremely poor customer service and can't return a call apparently. nice waste of money for a service I just hoped to reschedule. read more

I had a gift card that I need to us so I stopped in today for a 60 minute massage. Ive been to a Massage Heights before and had a mediocre experience. Nothing great but good for the price. I was pleasantly surprised today! Jessie was really really good! She offered me elevations which is basically an upgrade to hot stones or a foot scrub. Opted for the foot rub down and it's totally worth it. My only complaint is that the walls are super thin and the masseuse next door was so chatty!! He didn't stop talking and his voice was very prominent. It was quite distracting for the first half of my massage. Jessie felt so bad that she comped my foot scrub. Wow, for a membership based massage company, I am impressed! I was in desperate need of a massage and got a coupon from a friend for an hour massage for $49, and it was one of the best massages I've ever had! I had the option to choose a free "elevation" (foot scrub, hot towel on face or hot stones) and I chose the hot stones. My massage therapist was very professional and friendly, however she will only massage the areas that you are concerned about, so be specific if you want a full body massage. After my massage, they did ask me two times if I wanted to join, but I had no problem saying yes because the massage was great! You get one massage or facial a month, and if you don't use it one month, your service rolls over to the next month, and there are different packages with different prices. read more

I went to Massage Heights on Ingersoll for the first time last weekend. I was given a massage as a gift. When I first arrived, the store looked nice and I noticed higher-end product lines. However, the front desk staff wasn't very professional and looked unprofessional as well. When I was waiting, I started to notice the massage therapists walking around and they looked very unprofessional and I would question their cleanliness and professionalism. Some looked like they hadn't even showered that day. I was feeling very anxious before the massage. One had a horrible cough and sounded really ill. My massage was 60 minutes but only lasted 50 minutes. I had a man who was very nice and did an OK job but really it was the most mediocre massage I've ever had. The worst part of the experience is that when you're done and relaxed, they sit you down and try to sell you memberships - before you can even pay. The woman who was speaking to me was the worst salesperson and wouldn't stop trying to sell me. I wasn't expecting such a rude and inappropriate sales pitch after the massage. Overall, you get what you pay for. If you want a professional, relaxing, clean and spa-like experience - this is not the place. Beware of the front desk people and sales pitching, its not a relaxing experience. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

I have been going to massage heights (only this location) for about nine months. Before coming here I was a HUGE massage skeptic. I had chronic shoulder pain and the few massages I had received ( all at different companies) felt pointless and not even close to worth the money. Deciding to give the process one more try and visit massage heights during a time when my backpain felt unbearable was one of the best choices I've made! The whole building is extremely clean and calming. Every single staff member is friendly, helpful, and appears to value your visit as much as you do as the customer. I have seen two different therapists here (Greg and Natasha) and both are AMAZING. The therapists take time to listen to you but also clearly know what your body needs. It's clear the team is extremely knowledgeable and they even take time during/after the appointment to educate you on what you can do outside of the time with them to stay comfortable and healthy. As soon as I walked out of my first massage here I immediately became a member! I am constantly recommending this location to peers and even strangers because I genuinely can't think of an even slightly negative thing to say about my experiences here! My most recent visit was my first massage back after having a very invasive shoulder surgery in September. Prior to the massage, I was nervous about what my shoulder could handle and if it would be beneficial or harmful to my healing process. My body feels so rejuvenated and I'm in less pain (even in my injury/surgery site) than I have been since healing! The emotional and physical benefits I have gained from my monthly massages are indescribable! Looking solely at the money to be a member it can seem like a lot to do per month, but compared to other places it's a lot cheaper (and a much better overall experience)! With every visit I've had I've never felt like I've wasted even a penny because it has done so much for me! read more

If I could give 1/2 stars I would give this 2 1/2 overall. While the massage treatments are good I have yet to have a massage that lasts a full 60 minutes. They are sold as 60 minute massages however they last anywhere from 45 - 50 minutes. I am always way early for the appointment, shown to the room and am on the table 5-10 minutes before the masseur arrives and then the massage will end 5-10 minutes early...total time of actual massage is 45 minutes. When I pay for an hour massage, I expect to have the rub down for the full hour. This has been the situation all 5 visits. read more

I joined massage heights in December. It was explained that for my monthly membership fee you receive a 1 hour massage and an upgrade. The upgrade can either be a facial massage, for massage or hot stones. Lovely, I thought. To this point the monthly deduction has been coming non stop but I had yet to make an appointment to use the services. Well last Friday I lost my credit card and was having it replaced. It happened to be at the same time the monthly fee was to be charged but wouldn't go through, so they called me. I explained what was happening and I should have a replacement any day. And while I was on the phone with them I made an appointment for Saturday. When I arrived for the appointment, they told me that I cannot have a massage until my account is current. So even though I have paid for December, January and February and haven't used those massages, you can only use them if you are current. . They don't even exist. This was not explained at all upon joining and im extremely dissatisfied with their policies and the way they treated me in this situation. Disgusted is more like it. But they've got me committed for a year and you can bet I won't renew. read more

Buyers be ware of there membership.there will be several things they do not tell you. For example the only way you can cancel the membership is if you have doctors orders other than that you can not cancel for that year. They say you can cancel but they are still going to take the money out for the year. Why would anyone do that??? Biggest is that after the year you have to give 30 day notice in writing at the location you can't call to cancel you can't send email in person only. I found this out after I called earlier in the year they said my year was up in May and to call back. So I called in May And was told no I now have to give thirty day notice and in writing at the store. So now I have been paying for 13 months and when I went in to the branch completely rude I asked the gentleman (I use that word loosely) so now that I have filled this out you will stop withdrawing from my account? He said word for word " I don't know I just give you the paperwork." Wow talking about a run around I'm still not sure if they will find yet another loop hole to debit my account again. Every-time I call I get a different story. Definitely not worth all of this and it's funny that the gentleman did know what policy was because when I talked to a rep earlier she said that I had to do it today even though it's mother day and I had a sick child. Went in to get a *60* minute full-body couples massage with my significant other. We scheduled our massages for 5:00pm on a Sunday. We arrived at 4:40pm, checked-in and filled out the paper work, and we're ready at 4:50. We sat down and did not get called back for our massages UNTIL 5:15, 15 minutes past our original time. They close on Sunday's at 6:00pm so we were hoping we would be done around 6:15 at that point. We got back there and the massages were okay, not the best. You could tell we were the last people of the day and that the massage therapists were ready to go home. Everything was rushed-my boyfriend said the same. Another thing that I found to be disgusting is that there was black mascara stains all over my head/face rest. Massages were done and I checked the clock by my door and it was only 5:50, said the same on my phone as well. The massage therapists said they would be waiting in the hall for us when we were finished, nope. We did not see them again or get a goodbye. We were planning on having a relaxing Sunday together but instead we got a rushed 40 massage. Will not be going back there again. read more
