There are massages... and then there is Angie. I'm in Galveston celebrating my birthday, and I knew this trip would not feel complete without seeing her. I genuinely struggle to put into words what she does because calling her a massage therapist doesn't feel like enough. Angie is a healer. She is from Thailand and has spent her life studying and practicing Thai massage, and you can feel that depth of knowledge in everything she does. This is nothing like the typical face down, turn over, massage experience. She moves and positions your body in ways that allow her to work from completely different angles. She stretches you, uses compression, works through areas you didn't even realize were holding tension, and somehow seems to know exactly what your body needs. She releases tension in my shoulders, my back, my neck, even my jaw. There are moments when I can literally feel my body letting go. And that is the difference. You don't simply leave feeling relaxed. You leave feeling different. Lighter. More open. Like your body has been put back where it belongs. I have had many massages in my life, and I have never experienced anything quite like Angie's work. Her knowledge, intuition, technique, and genuine gift for healing are extraordinary. If you are in Galveston, please do yourself a favor and experience this for yourself. People need to know that someone this gifted is here. Angie, thank you for sharing your gift with the rest of us. You were exactly what I needed during my birthday weekend, and I am so grateful for you. read more

My massage at Massage Experience was pure bliss. It was one of the best I've ever had. I got the combination Thai, Swedish, and the Shiatsu massage for an hour, and it was amazing! I called to book my appointment the day before and spoke with Angie. She had a beautiful disposition over the phone. She was sweet, kind, and helpful. I knew that whomever I got my massage from was going to be great and to my surprise, it was Angie. I loved her techniques, and her presence. She was relaxed, moved slowly and methodically. Her nonintrusive conversation was exactly what I was looking for. She took her time and made me feel extremely comfortable. She asked questions to make sure that the pressure was right or that my neck was comfortable, and if I needed work on any specific area. She was thoughtful and, very professional. I'd highly recommend her. The space is calming with the dim lights and soft music. The bed was very comfortable. I enjoyed the hot stones and towels. And, because I have a sprain on my left ankle she offered to put a cold compress on it throughout the duration of my massage which soothed it tremendously. My body feels relaxed, looser, lighter, and cared for. I'll definitely visit again soon. read more

Fabulous experience. Nina was great. Showed up as a walk in and was able to get in within the hour.

We had a couples massage and Nina and Jennifer were fantastic! They asked specific questions before proceeding and checked in to make sure the pressure was right and that they were addressing the issues. It was a great experience! Hubby said his neck was feeling 100% better. Loved that they had larger beds than typical and the relaxing music was not loud. If we visit the area again we would not hesitate to book again. read more

Great massage! Good ambiance. Recommend Angie! She's personable and good at what she does. She loves massage and cares about you as a person. I felt so good afterwards. Usually I'm sore the next day, like I got beat up. Not today! Still feeling good! Thank you Angie! read more

If you want a seriously good massage to walk away feeling pain free, refreshed, and relaxed. This is the place for you! I had been getting Swedish massages for years. But Thai massage is the true way to go if you want knots, tight muscles, achy joints, and all the pressure points addressed. Jennifer is truly a master at finding them. Plus Thai massage included hot stones, walking on my legs (I was not comfortable - yet - for back walking), stretching, & scalp too. read more

Mayya was terrific. True Thai massage. She really went deep where I needed it. Definitely would recommend this place and Mayya specifically. read more

The massage style was new to me: a mixture orlf Thai and Swedish massage. Actually very nice and it was tailored to what I wanted. The reason why I didn't give 5 stars is the customer service. Checking in and checking out what was rushed and a bit rude. read more

Lasting effect from the icy hot oil is deserved of two stars. Cut off the hour midway through after work on posterior base of skull is with a wrenched neck to a single side; if a problem area requires extra therapy, then name side opposite to that. The bench, table, or working surface excludes face hole that allows neutral position of spine. Took a haircut without any money back in addition to hands free anterior hair styling via optical illusion. read more

Oh my goodness! I wanted to pack Jennifer in my suitcase and take her home with me! Best massage ever!

My husband and I went here while on vacation for a 90 minute coupes massage. I get massages usually 1-2 times per month for the last 15 years and this was by far one of the best ones I have ever had. Angie and Sandy were simply magical. I have never had this type of massage before and let me tell you these ladies put their whole bodies into it. I have never been massaged and stretched like that before. This place is worth every penny and more and I wish it was in my home town. read more

My husband and I came to Massage Experience after reading the reviews. He had two other massage experiences on the Island when we visit however he didn't like them. Sandy gave him his first massage that he has enjoyed on the Island. Angie the owner (Patchara) was so sweet and her technique is amazing! The beds are very comfortable and are not on tables which we prefer when we get massages. Excellent and super clean!! read more

Excellent massage experience. Very clean professional setup. I had a massage here because I was experiencing some back issues at the time. I walked in and they saw me within ten minutes. The massage was one of the most relaxing massages I've ever had. She understood I was having some back pain that day and worked in that area without causing further pain and by the end had greatly improved range of motion and pain relief. I highly recommend Angie. I cannot give enough kudos. read more
