Megan and Becky at the front desk are awesome! When you first arrive I got my temperature checked and filled out my paper work on an ipad. This massage envy is super clean and so friendly. I was nervous to get a massage during COVID but this place made me feel safe and they took all the right steps to making sure everything is sanitized. I scheduled my massage with Evan and it was great. My shoulders/back/neck were very tight especially my right side. After the massage i felt amazing of course a little sore but thats comes with any massage. 2 days later and I am a brand new person lol want an amazing massage go to EVAN!! read more

Do yourself a favor and steer clear of this franchise. I wish I had taken out time to read the reviews before choosing to become a member. I would have saved myself a lot of agony. I took out a membership about a year ago and every time I booked an appointment they called to cancel before the date. I ended up making monthly payment for a year and only using the membership once in twelve months. At my one-year mark, I requested that my membership be frozen to enable me use some of the sessions I had accumulated and was told they do not have that option. I requested cancelation and was told I had to call back to speak with a manager to cancel. Before I could call back, the manager unilaterally cancelled my membership. I only found out when I tried to book an appointment. As if that was not bad enough, I was told I had to pay to transfer any of my accumulated sessions to a loved one and all my eleven sessions must be used up within 60 days. None of this was explained to me at signing up. Infact it was one of their selling points. "If you don't use it you can transfer it", they said. I subsequently booked appointments to fall within the two months to use up my sessions and also paid to transfer some to friends and family. I booked these appointments with the understanding that I was trying to use my built-up sessions and was told it was okay so long it falls within the 60 days. I was therefore surprised when they decided that my membership lapsed in the middle of the month and charged me $130 for the make-up appointment. What a rip off! Do not go near these people!1!! So after I left that review they responded with a link for me to complete another review and they care. If they actually cared the general manager would not have been rude and unprofessional. It would have been easy to save me as a customer. Wow, I'm in shock. I stayed as long as I did because my massage therapist was great. But if they keep treating people the way they do they will lose more clients. An update I was told my membership was canceled and my card was charged anyway on 11/3 and the manager has not returned my phone calls. So frustrating now I need to call the BBB and possibly the Attorney General's Office. read more

Been having a lot of difficulty working with this franchise location. My 80-year-old mother has been a member for about 10 years. During and after Covid she went through all kinds of BS with them freezing and unfreezing her membership and paying to keep it frozen and then even reactivating it for the same monthly fee, all the while accumulating over 30 massages while she was very ill. This was her only way to retain her accumulated massages. Now after her contracting Covid and having a series of strokes, they are not calling me back and unwilling to work with me in any form. Personally I think it's elder abuse allowing a sickly 80 year to pay to accumulate so many massages she can't possibly use. Now if I cancel her membership over 30 massages are down the drain. This amounts to about $3000, just poor business to allow this to happen and then to not work with the family to determine a solution. read more

I highly recommend not supporting this franchise. They often screw up the appointment schedule, do not contact you with reminders and then assert that they did. I played back my messages for 5 days prior and after the supposed call and atlas, no message. However, I was told too bad, nothing they could do but charge me. No concern or consideration for a monthly client. Plus it is difficult getting appointments with your preferred masseuses and most of their staff are just not experienced or skilled enough. Too many good options in the area to be treated this way and too much grief from this franchise. I will be contacting my credit card company to make a complaint. I've had a massage envy membership for years. I was a big fan of my masseuse in NJ, but haven't found anyone great since moving to PA. I had Jackie today at the Warrington location...and she was GREAT! She asked the right questions before, told me what muscles she was addressing during the massage, but also let me relax. She didn't try and talk to me the whole time, which is exactly what I want. I'm there to relax and Jackie was perfect for that. Read the fine print if you sign up for a membership. If not, they will charge you. They give you 10 days to cancel. If your dues are due before the 10 day cancel, you will still get charged for the month. the manager is NOT accommodating at all. She scheduled my appointments. One of the. Appointments SHE scheduled for me was two days early. They tried to charge me for the early appt. When I informed the manager of this, there was no apology. the receptionists are clueless. It makes your one hour massage stressful when you have to deal with their lack of courtesy and professionalism. I would not go back. I would rather my money go o ther places. read more

This is perhaps the worst franchise I've ever encountered. These people do not care about their customers or their employees. Turnover is through the roof, not only at this location, but all of them. I've had previous employees tell me why they are unhappy, most of which quit. They are VERY unforgiving if you accumulate many sessions. You'd be much better off finding a good therapist and paying for a good massage when you need, rather than getting sucked in to paying monthly to these people. I booked a massage and had to rebook due to schedule conflicts and I rebooked a month later. The day of the massage at the time of the massage I get a call asking where I was. I let whoever called that I did not have it on my calendar and that I did not get a confirmation call or email of my massage. She proceeded to tell me that a call and voicemail was left and that I can come in for the rest of my session, which I was unable to. I am literally staring at my call log and I have yet to see where that call is and where that voicemail is. So she proceeded to tell me that I will still be charged for the session. Honestly I will never return and they can take my credits. I will glad to take my business to other spas who are more understanding and proactive to confirm appointments. A month is a long time to rebook an appointment and it is easy to overlook it. To receive one confirmation - which again I did not get is a bit ridiculous. I am positive this was an administrative issue and for me to lose money on this is appalling and not the customer service I am expecting. I am not one to not show up to an appointment as I have been to this specific massage envy couple times and recommended others to come here. I've gotten a couples massage here and know after this I will not come to this location and do not want to return to any massage envy at that. read more

Let me preface this review with the information that I am known to be extremely critical, and only feel the need to share my opinion if its very good or very bad. This is a very good one :) So I am a very active individual and I have a physically demanding job, so I should get massages regularly, but I'll admit it, I don't. They all seem way too expensive, and I've gotten them before at spas where they pay more attention to the atmosphere (which is important in a spa, I get it), than on the actual massage itself. I guess what I require is more of a massage therapy session rather than a relaxing spa treatment. So on I went to look for my long over due massage. I came across many local spas, all with someone that had a bad time at one or another, but then Massage Envy kept coming up and the reviews were all top notch. With a $49 1 hour special, availability for the next day appointment and close to home, that was enough for me to pull the trigger. And I'm so glad I did! All in all, the best massage I've had since I can remember. I told them what i needed, and they put me with a masseuse that was perfect for my needs! Kudos for listening to the customer and delivering! It was the massage therapy session I so desperately needed. On top of a great massage, the atmosphere was so relaxing and soothing, simple and welcoming - better than most spas that I've ever been in! For the price its an absolute score!! They honestly have the best of both worlds in what you want from a massage and a spa-like facility. I joined their membership program before I left too. I travel a lot for work, and when they said it comes with 1 massage a month to use at ANY of their locations (over 800 nationwide), I was sold! First time here...one of the best massages I have ever had! Jay has very strong hands and knows what she is doing! Prices seem very reasonable especially for a quality massage. My Daughter had the hot rock massage for 90 minutes and loved her massage also.. The only negative is...I felt a bit "nickeled and dimed" to death. After my message the front desk person tried to sell me a membership with monthly payments etc. and I was not sure if it was because I was new and they were being informative or just trying to dig deeper into my pockets. Plus, the "tipping" sign with suggested tipping amounts at the register seemed like a nice idea at first but it suggests an "excellent" tip for a massage is $20. By not tipping the $20 you basically tell your massage person they didn't do an excellent job. Between the additional sales pitch and the tipping sign it makes you feel a bit pressured and "Nickeled and dimed" as I mentioned. Arrived for a prenatal massage a few minutes before appointment time. When I checked in, the receptionist very loudly and rudely announced that I was late and that she would need to see if I could still fit into the schedule. Confused, I told her that I was not late--apparently I was supposed to arrive 20m early to fill out paperwork. This was not told to me when I made the appointment. I continued to be polite, apologized and said that I wasn't told. She said,"EVERYONE is told." Wow! What a way to start off a relaxing morning at 9m pregnant. I sit and wait for a few minutes, then another young woman brings me back to sit in a private area and discuss the massage I'll have. I think she could tell that I was upset and I told her what happened and she couldn't have cared less. After she exits, 10m goes by, she comes back to say that my masseuse had car trouble and won't be arriving for another 10-15m. Hilarious considering that I got reamed for being "late" and screwing up the schedule. By the time he showed up, there was only 15m left of my appointment, which consisted of me laying on my side (obvs, it was prenatal) and this guy awkwardly rubbing oil on my right shoulder for about 10m. I wasn't charged for the appointment and the same rude receptionist couldn't have been nicer and more apologetic when I left. They offered me a discount on my next massage but I declined to make the appt. I've since found Eden Organics in Doylestown, and it's not even in the same league. read more

Overall I am so glad I have started going here. I was getting a massage in Carmel, CA and the therapist mentioned that SHE goes to a Massage Envy as a way to make sure she gets her once a month massage and doesn't put it off. I had never even heard of it, but since I felt like I would benefit from that concept, I looked them up when I came home. The staff is friendly and helpful overall (as with anywhere, some are way chatty and others are a little abrupt, but no real complaints). Typically I get a deep tissue massage because I want it to be more of a health/therapy session not a relaxation session. Right now, I also have a slow-healing injury, so I really like the trigger-point therapy massage they offer. I have been to countless spas from basic to very high end and have never been offered this. My therapist (Patty) was perfect for my needs. She concentrates on just the areas I need and my problem areas have greatly improved in just 3 months. Since the once-a-month price is so cheap, I can get 2 massages a month for what I would pay for one anywhere else. I don't see any downsides to this concept! The only complaint I have is that it can be hard to get a last minute appointment and they don't like to take appointments on the half-hour, which can be annoying for me to fit into my schedule sometimes, But that's ok, I will still be going back twice a month! read more

UPDATE Patty remains the best professional masseuse I've ever experienced. There is no denying this. However, apparently this location has a new policy when scheduling an appointment: a credit card is required to make an appt. I was a former member at this location and had a nearly 2 year experience of great service and value for money. This new policy completely turned me off. What is coming next; a credit card on file to make a dinner reservation? A credit card on file when scheduling car service at the dealership? ***************************************************************************************** I'm glad I found Massage Envy in Warrington and became a member. I hurt my back this week and really needed relief. At times, the pain made me cut short my breathing. It was not a good situation. Patty was my therapist at this ME location. We had a detailed chat about my issues, and then she went to work. She is a skilled therapist and was able to isolate my issue, deal with it, and give me relief from the knot between my shoulder blades. I went back 2 days later for a reflexology session with Cindy. She is skilled as well. As a result of these successful sessions -- and due to Patty -- I became a member of ME. It was the gift to myself in 2013. read more

I am a huge fan of ME and have been a member for about 5 years now. I get regular massages due to a hoard of muscle tension & knots in my back and shoulders. ME makes it affordable to get regular massages. I go 1-2 times per month, depending on how I am feeling. On the months when I schedule the second massage, it is usually without much notice, so I don't always see my preferred therapist. This has allowed me to experience many different therapists, at least 9 of them!! I have never had a bad massage. Each therapist has their own style/technique, which allows for a unique experience. Sometimes, when my muscles are feeling relaxed and I don't need the deep tissue massage, I'll request a therapist that I have had in the past so that I may have a different experience. Massage Envy offers 60 or 90 minute sessions, as well as other add-ons such as hot stones, aromatherapy, & sugar foot scrub. The Warrington location also offers facials. I had my first facial there last month and really enjoyed it. If you are looking for a true spa experience, this is not the place; however, if you are looking for a quality massage and relaxation at a decent price, then what are you waiting for?!! read more

Based on the reviews I booked a 90 minute massage. I have MS and require special attention. Made them aware of this fact. So, I arrive to a pleasant environment and the front staff is nice. However, when I got back there. " K" seemed to ignore my question sheet that I filled out. I specifically stated that I am sensistive to heat. I lie down to a hot table. Overall she spent two minutes talking to me before the massage, I thought maybe her bed sides manners aren't the best. She asked what area to work on and pressure (it's on the sheet), that's it. So, onto the massage which was "okay." Nothing special. Most places give you a towel to wipe off the oil, that didn't happen. They asked how it was at the front desk and I said dissapointly "okay" and they mentioned other staff to try and if I wanted a membership. Based on today, I'll continue to look. read more

I joined the Warrington Massage Envy shortly after it opened in 2008. I have been getting regular -- and excellent -- massages here ever since. My therapist for the last 6+ years has been Brendalee, and she is simply amazing. Every massage is unique, tailored to the challenges she encounters in my body during that session. This woman was born to be a massage therapist; she's that good! On a few occasions, Brendalee has been unavailable and I have had other therapists. They have been OK, but I strongly prefer to see her instead. The Massage Envy facility itself is basic (don't expect a posh "spa" environment) but clean, and the front-desk personnel are consistently pleasant and professional. They recently invested in an automated phone system to remind you when you have a prepaid massage available, which I like. Once you get used to having regular massages, you will FEEL when you need one. It truly does enhance quality of life and help in managing "life" stress. read more

I have been a member of another ME for years and have never had a problem. I switched my ME due to a move. When I called to schedule an appointment the person who answered the phone was very nice and give me a recommendation for a therapist based on what I was looking for and I made an appointment. I was asked to arrive a 15 mins early to complete a client update. On the day of my appointment I arrived 15 min early as requested but the front desk staff quickly realized that my account had previously been updated. Ok, no problem. I was then escorted to the waiting area and I waited for my appointment time. Now, let me preface this by saying that the week prior to my appointment, I had been away on business and it was the one of the most difficult weeks I have had this year. It was very much emotionally and physically draining, so I was very much looking forward to this much needed massage. Now, I am sitting in the waiting area, and there is a crowd gathering due to scheduled appointments. But I seem to have waited much longer than the others and I noticed that folks who had arrived after me were being lead to the back before me. Ok, I understand that there are many different therapist in the building all with varied client appointments, but no one informed me that my therapist was running behind schedule. So now I'm a little annoyed. Once the room emptied out, I went to the front desk to inquire as to when I would be called back (now I'm annoyed and tensing up). I was told that they would check with my therapist. Two mins later my therapist comes out and calls my name and gives me an annoyed look when I respond, AND she DID NOT introduce herself. This was the first time that I had been in this ME and the first time I had met the therapist, and she engaged me with an attitude. I thought to myself, "This isn't going to go well for me today!" I was lead back to the room without any warm conversation whatsoever (OUCH...not good at all. Now I'm becoming more tense.) Once we got back to the room I inquired as to what had happened and why my appointment was now beginning late. The therapist looked at me as if I had three heads, huffed and said, "I had another client and I just finished." Well, let me say this, I saw her escort him to the lobby 10 mins BEFORE my schedule appointment time, my appointment began late. When I mentioned to her that no one let me know that she would be running late, here response was, "Don't worry, I'll make sure you get all of your time." Welp, that did it for me! I really wanted to walk out, but didn't want to lose my scheduled time nor have to pay any fees, so I proceeded with the appointment, albeit, extremely tense. This did not make for the relaxing experience I should have had. I have to say, that because I was ALREADY TENSE WHEN I ARRIVED AND EVEN MORE TENSE BEFORE AND DURING THE MASSAGE, that after it was done, I felt worse than I did when I arrived. AND I was sore for the rest of the week. I was not a happy camper and I definitely will not use that therapist again. No one should have an experience such as this. read more

What a horrendous nightmare. I made an appointment for a massage, show up early and am immediately "interviewed" for an intake form. Nice girl...she took lots of notes. Then I sit waiting until a blonde girl signals for me to follow her. She starts saying what she had planned and it was nothing like what I discussed with the intake girl. I begin to explain and she calls me "Jen" and I realize it's not me she was looking for. Would have helped if she had said my name! So I wait again. This time after another wait, a different girl comes to take me back only to tell me sorry...cannot give you a massage. WTF? So inept, unprofessional, and truly sad! Never go there!!! I currently live in the Doylestown area. I am a member at the Warrington location, but I have also been to the North Wales facility, which is absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I had my first facial here and I have nothing but positive things to say about it! I purchased the Murad skincare line and it works great for my sensitive skin. I love the massage therapists at both locations. You can't find a better place at a better price. I find it extremely important to get massages on a regular basis for overall better health and well-being. It is a great stress releaser! read more

I got a gift certificate here a few Christmases ago from a white elephant and it's been the gift that keeps on giving! My therapist Patty is phenomenal. I do martial arts and tend to have a lot of muscle spasms and knots so I need a real deep tissue massage...she has great pressure!!!! If you like hard pressure massages, Patty is the girl to see! Not to mention she can really tell what's going on with my body, she finds spots i didn't know I needed work on. She has a great understanding of anatomy which is why I think she's so good. I've seen one other therapist, Oxanna (spelling?) and she was great, too. Even though she didn't have as much pressure I always left feeling relaxed with a smile on my face. This was my first facial and to be honest, it wasn't the best facial I've ever had! And it wasn't the girl's fault, but I think the way the room was designed. She kept having to stand up and grab things from the counter. It just wasn't relaxing and didn't flow. Also, I received a massage first and I was annoyed that I had to get dressed and change rooms. That totally ruins the relaxing experience of booking both at the same time! I should have at least been offered a robe, like a real high end spa. It's not that hard to implement. read more

My boyfriend had a scheduled massage and arrived for it on time. When he checked in they informed him his massage was cancelled because his therapist called out and they offered him a facial later in the day. I was pretty disappointed to hear this as I purchased him a membership due to his physically demanding job and personal life. Not only did he receive no phone calls telling him his therapist called out but the fact that they offered him a facial was completely in-genuine, seeing that he informed them when booking the appt. how much he was in need of deep tissue therapeutic work. I used to work at a massage envy with a manager who valued customer service and she made sure her whole staff was prepared to deal w situations like this. We would have called the client several times (not once or even not at all), tried our best to get another therapist to come in, or offer something to the client if we didn't get a hold of them due to the compete inconvenience of making their way in for nothing. We get things happen that are out of ones control but the way this was handled is so disappointing and tarnishes other massage envys names. Massage envy is great but not this location. read more

Even though I am a member of ME, enjoy the atmosphere, and love my therapist dearly, I do want to take a moment to let you know about the negative experiences that my husband and I have had with ME's front desk staff. My husband likes to buy me gift cards for my birthday, Christmas, and Valentine's Day. He always goes to the Warrington, PA location to purchase the gift cards. (I go to the North Wales, PA location for my massages). Every time he has gone into the Warrington location he leaves feeling frustrated. He does not believe that the front desk staff is friendly or competent. Two years in a row at Christmas time they did not tell him about the promotion to get an extra gift card if he spends a certain amount or to get the free half hour if he spends a certain amount. He also feels that he is treated rudely because of his skin color. My husband is a dark-skinned Latino. I am white. My massage therapist is Dominican. I don't understand why the front desk associates act rudely to him, but this is always the case. He walked out last week on Valentine's Day without buying me a gift card because when he asked to pay for a session for me and explained I was a member, the girl was rude to him and told him she could not do that. How hard is it to smile at someone and take their money??? I myself feel that the front desk associates always struggle to do the most simplest of tasks when applying my gift cards to my account, keeping track of the massages on my account, and applying my payments correctly. North Wales constantly has to call Warrington to have them 'push' a payment through when I pay with gift cards. This gets screwed up regularly, and I end up being double-charged. It usually takes me 10 minutes to check out because the staff is struggling with the software. This is not rocket science! My recommendation to ME is that they invest in better training for their front desk staff and a software program that is simpler to use. read more
