Your body needs maintenance just like everything else. Keep it in top shape with a massage or facial regimen at Massage Envy. I have a membership which forces me to take time out for some self-care. I received a massage from Mariana, it was such a relaxing massage with some focus on some problem areas. The staff are always very professional and the location is very clean. The waiting area is dimly lit and you can enjoy a warm tea (nice selection of teas) or a nice glass of cold water after your service. They also sell facial and body products. Plenty of free parking. read more

The worst customer service I have had in some time. Created an account online and made an appointment for a Friday and took the afternoon off for a rare treat for myself. I showed up at the time I made an appointment for and they said I didn't have an appointment. They said their online booking system regularly has glitches and doesn't actually book the appointment when used. I took the afternoon off and lost out on wages and they didn't offer to try to make it right or even apologize. In my line of work, I couldn't even imagine being able to stay in business if I treated people like that. read more

Do not by the membership. They will nickle and dime you over every little thing. I've spent $250 for Dec and Jan and have had 1 massage. My "90 min" massage wasn't 90 mins, they take away time for the "consultation" and getting dressed and undressed. I've gotten massages at a lot of places and they don't do that. They have absolutely no accommodation for their members, if you miss your apt they still charge the fee and don't let you reschedule regardless of the reason you missed. And it's not like they're fully booked 24/7, they bombard you with texts every day talking about the availability they have if you want to bump up your massage apt. They also use your massage time if you're late, even if no one else is scheduled after you. I feel like members should be accommodated more if they're booked fine but if not, give us courtesy. This was my first time and last time buying their membership. I'm spending $85 at the nails and spa by winco where you get a headspa, mini facial and massage for an hour and they are so nice and accommodating. You leave feeling so relaxed, not irritated like at massage envy. Not to mention, my first massage, the speaker was blown out and sounded staticky and the second one, the side door was cracked open when I got up to get dressed and I didn't realize until after I got up. I thought that was odd because the lady left out the front door. All in all, don't waste your money. Just go in if you can and that's it, don't fall for anything else. read more

This place is a good idea in theory, but as a member, they are too busy to book massages. Do not recommend.

Whoever is running this location has absolutely no common sense when it comes to dealing with loyalty and customer satisfaction. My husband was going to be late to this appointment they would not work with him whatsoever and informed him that his appointment was already cancelled and lost his monthly credit and extended service for this one time of being late. Instead of just trying to work something out to continue this customer relationship and showing why Massage Envy is a good investment to make with their monthly memberships, their actions have led us to cancelling and going elsewhere. Not to mention, word of mouth is huge in a small town like Visalia and we will not be recommending their services. Do better or don't.. we won't be giving our hard earned money to them regardless and you shouldn't either. read more

I've never even been to this place before, and I already had to deal with rescheduling an appointment. No one mentioned anything about a same-day cancellation fee. I rescheduled, only to find out I was charged for half the service anyway. On top of that, every time I've called, the receptionists have had attitudes. Not helpful, not welcoming, just rude. Honestly, the whole vibe is off. I'll be canceling my appointment and not coming back. Thanks for the terrible first impression. read more

Wonderful experience! Minor mishap with a gift card but they resolved it rapidly. Will definitely be going back. read more

Been a member for more than 6 years. Overtime, the service at this location has deteriorated..the linens and towels are grey instead of being white, recently during a massage, the therapist said that they don't pay well and also take a percentage off the tips! She also said that she has been given Kaiser insurance and there are no doctors who take Kaiser in Visalua to get her 2 y/o son treated. She also offered to provide the same massage in Tulare at her house.I cancelled my membership and they did not even ask why? read more

I've been going to Massage Envy since 2010. Never have had problems until I started visiting the Visalia location. It's very hard to even get an appointment at Visalia. When I call to book, my appointment is generally about 7 to 10 days out from the time I call. I've never had this problem at other locations. Now for the third time in the last year, I get a call the morning of my appointment telling me the therapist won't be coming in (for whatever reason). Ok things happen I guess. Even though this is the third time. Since I can only come in the mornings or early afternoon, I now have to wait an additional 13 days for another appointment. No offer of anything for the inconvenience. I guess I should be happy I got a phone call. One time I drove all the way there (20 miles each way) to be told in person that my massage was canceled. However, if you need to cancel (which I had to do once in 10 years of patronage), Visalia had no problem charging me for the full session. I would not recommend joining this Massage Envy location. Unless you like frustration, annoyance, and poor customer service. Save yourself $75 a month. There has to be better options out there. I know I am now looking for one. read more

Buyer Beware: I had a scheduled appointment for this afternoon, but unexpectedly have my grandchildren for the day and night. At first I hoped I could enlist another family member to take care of the kids, and as soon as I found out that was not possible, I called to cancel my 3:14 appointment...Five hours before the appointment, and was told there would be a 50% charge for the cancellation!! read more

If I could I would give it a 0 rating. Girls in the front needs more training or they just don't know what TF they doing. After my massage told lady in front I would like to cancel my membership, she said ok your good to go. And what do you know they still withdraw the money from my bank account. ( not the first issue I had with them either). Taking my business elsewhere. read more

Massage was great but got there at 945 for a 10 am appt had to wait to go into the room until 1015 and our massage was over at 11. That didn't include the 5+ minutes to go over what to expect and changing so the massage was really only 40 min and I also paid for the foot scrub which I wasn't informed took up part of my massage time. I thought it would be after my 60 min massage. I was going to sign up for the month subscription but a little too disappointed. read more

The actual providers (massage therapists, estheticians etc) are great. I have had several providers, all of which were fantastic. The company itself has been difficult. I had a doctor's note to cancel my membership. I was charged for the membership after that. I have called the call center and physical location several times. I still haven't received a refund. **Update: I did receive a refund after stopping by the location again. Upon cancellation my debit information was deleted. I had to provide it again. read more

I have had the pleasure to get a massage from here for the first time a month ago. I enjoyed it so much I got a year membership. I just had my second massage and it was great. The warming table is so relaxing. The two women at the front were helpful and friendly. My masseuse (Anna) was very good. The only minor thing is the relaxation room isn't really relaxing. It's a waiting room that is a slightly done up. Other than that it's recommended. read more

First impression: Cute, small, clean massage parlor. My massage appointment was at 1:30pm so I arrived at 1:20 pm. I had completed the introductory questionare online a week prior so all that was required was a signature. I signed the form and waited for my massage therapist. I was disappointed to find out that the initial 5 minutes of my hour were used for "talking" as well as the last 5 which means my massage went from 60 to 50 minutes before it even started. I had a certificate for a free additional service so I chose the foot scrub. I was disappointed to find that this bonus was also removed from my hour which means I truly only received a 40 minute massage and the massage therapist didn't even get to massage my head which was an area I had specifically indicated I needed massaged. That seemed very deceiving and for $55 dollars overpriced. It didn't help that the massage therapist talked the entire time during my massage about himself. Disappointed in my experience I have thanked my family for the gift certificate but I have adviced then not to do business here again. Ps. It's been 4 days since my massage and I still feel like a truck ran me over. Also they will not schedule appointment without your credit card on file and will refuse to utilize their own gift cards to schedule. read more

To the manager of the Visalia location. Thank you for reaching out to me. I did call your Visalia location and I even went in to address this situation. Your staff refused to refund my money and they don't how they got my new credit card information and they do not know how I got billed when according to your staff, I never tried to fix the situation. read more

Do not go here and fall for their membership plan, they will contradict everything they say, the receptionists are not all on the same page which is so frustrating and they will charge you more than they are suppose to, which sucks for the estheticians that actually do a great job. read more

Great experience! From Shelbi at check-in to massage w/ Tanisha! Will definitely be back!

Charged me for no reason at all. I asked them multiple times to confirm that I did not sign up for any monthly contract and they assured me I was not. Yet, i started getting charged monthly. Terrible process and service read more

It's unfortunate that I can't review personnel. More than half of my appointments have been cancelled in the last seven months. I've had appointments cancelled by three different workers at this one location. Four appointments cancelled since August of 2022. They require me to cancel 24 hours ahead but they have no problem cancelling just a couple of hours ahead of my appointment. This one location makes me want to cancel my membership. read more

Happy to find a nice spot to get a weekly massage. ( not like the orientals places) Nice ambiance, very nice staff. I bought the membership and so far I had been enjoyed it. The prices are in range and nothing extravagant or too much like other places. Im gonna try the facials now.... can't wait! read more

Are they still open in visalia? I gave my gf a gift certificate and she called yesterday ( 12-20-19) and got no answer. She left a message saying she wanted to make an appt. Today still had not returned a call, so she called again, and left another message, still have not heard from them. If they are still open, they are so busy and/or poorly staffed they can't answer a phone on 2 occassions, nor return calls? Doesn't look like a place I would spend my money after this point. read more

Your 60 minute massage is always whittled down to 35-40 minutes. Appt time 3:00pm, I'm on time in fact early yet I sit and wait for the massage person to come get me. Now it's 3:07 I finally get in the room. They have their pad and start to ask me questions which I've answered already every time I come in. They leave for you to undress...everyone wears easy to remove clothes of course but still don't come back in till 3:15. Most of them are quite but every once in a while you get the person who wants to talk. If you get an add on they take the time off??? Really? I'm paying extra for it and you ADD it to my time. Smh All of a sudden it's 3:50 and your time is up. Where is your reasoning behind that? Why should I pay for you to straighten your room back? Schedule 15 minutes between clients. It is cheaper then most salons so I guess you get what you pay for but when you add tip that's not so cheap. One more thing you can't find your person either because they have a turn over so you are constantly searching for that one person that's just spot on. Sad. Add these minutes up and see how many massages your giving away in a year. I think I'm giving up and going to find another spa. read more

Customer service at Masage Envy is totally horrible! A lady who says assistant manager was extremely rude and snotty when I called to reschedule. She insisted that I would have to pay 50 percent even though I have never been charged for rescheduling before. She insisted that if reschedule fee is Massage Envy policy. I've never been charged 50 perfect to reschedule In The nearly three years I have been a member ...until today! Also it's hard to get appointments. I have cancelled my Membership. The massage aren't worth the hassle and drama! I'll just stick with the nice local massage therapists who actually appreciate your business! read more

Had an problem so need to cancel. Called as soon as the emergency arose wanted to rebook they charged me 50% for changing which is crazy. This location is alway completely booked. When I actually got an appointment they canceled at the time of my appointment. Wondered what would of happen if those roles were reversed. Tried to cancel my membership but have to cancel previous location I was stationed at. Just so happens they won't cancel membership until you have been a member for a year. I never had an issue at my last location. read more

Booked an appointment two weeks out and they changed my appointment to another massage therapist and an hour earlier. I didn't answer the call because I thought it was spam. I love this place, even though I expected not to. I moved from a city where I went to a high-end spa with massage services, but discovered I was just overpaying! Back in January I signed up for a year of massages with good intentions of using them. A short time later I became ill and was not able to take advantage of my agreement. When I contacted massage envy and explained the circumstances, I was told that I could not cancel. While I was sick, my credit card continued to be charged every month. When my husband realized we were still being charged 10 months later (never having even used a single massage) he contacted them and was told to complete a request to cancel and it would be reviewed. Do yourself a favor and do not enter into any contract with these people, they are heartless, greedy, and do everything they can to keep you in a contract. read more

I joined Massage Envy about three months ago to help alleviate some pain that I had in my back and legs. I asked the receptionist to recommend a therapist who had good hands and knew how to work on those areas. She suggested Tanisha, so I made an appointment to see her, and she was just what I needed. She knew how to work the kinks out of my back and relieve the leg cramps that had been bothering me for months. She was very attentive to my requests to apply more or less pressure in the areas she was working on, and she always asked how I was doing. I thoroughly enjoy the massages I get from Tanisha, and I would recommend her and Massage Envy to anyone who is in need of pain relief or just a relaxing massage. read more

Very professional! My massage therapist Tanisha was great! She didnt make me feel uncomfortable and she understood where all my pain points were! The membership is a wonderful deal! I had to call a few times before my call was answered, but that's because this place is BUSY. With that being said, I was experiencing a bad breakout so I booked a facial. I was SO IMPRESSED with Henessey I don't plan on going anywhere else for a facial anytime soon. She made recommendations of things to adjust in my home skincare routine, and after 3 days, my skin is already so much clearer. Thank you!!! read more

Very professional. A membership is worth it since the prices do go up each time you go so if you want to get a massage or facial once a month it's worth getting. Absolutely love my dermatologist Audrey, she is so nice and amazing. I definitely noticed results! read more

Don't waste your money! You walk in and the ambience is good. They even bring you tea or water. Then I got told that there is a 10 min consultation and it's deducted from my massage time! 5 mins at the beginning and 5 after the massage. Never have I heard this. Then to a surprise. The consults did not last 10 mins at all. Then my massage honestly really sucked. I asked the girl if she could put pressure on my knots and what she said was "I target that area more when you lie on your back" and did not do what I had asked of her. Everything felt quick like she was in a rush. And I did not like that. There was nothing of the massage I liked or made me feel relaxed. And I had gotten a full body. Definitely won't return or recommend read more
