Well...my experience is based on a few times going. Initially I went a few months ago to get some relaxation. Since I am taking the initiative to start looking after myself, I have added massages, facials, manis & pedis along with great intense workouts to my life. That is neither here nor there. Now...moving on...my first and initial visit, was wonderful. Soo wonderful in fact, I signed up as a member! Yes I thought. I am on my way to health, wellness, and relaxation. Well it all went downhill from there. I can't tell you how many calls and messages I have received stating my appointment needs to be rescheduled or my therapist can't come in or they are sick ....the list goes on. I call in to reschedule thinking my appt. is set, then another call..."Ms. Hurst, that therapist won't be available that day either."...okay...*side eye* At this point I am on my 3rd therapist because the ones I like are never available. Umm...okay. Moving on to the receptionist chick with the "nice nasty" attitude. A little young girl who looks to be of mixed heritage like myself...she is quite rude on the phone and in person but I chalk it up to her being a millennial and not really wanting to "adult" but having too because well...she she is brushing up against 25 I presume and HAS TO work....any way...I have an appt on Sunday...and sure enough, I get a message saying my therapist is "unavailable" that day but there are two more I can choose from...umm...well is the first person I was with available the very first time I came, available? I could go back to him because I did like him. "no" she tells me...he isn't available either. Well then who the hell is available?? Mind you I have a facial and a massage that day...sheesh...some woman I don't know is available...I said fine...I will take her...then...good grief....but I am sure before Sunday gets here, I will get yet another call, saying "Ms. H...the therapist you booked is unavailable" ...story of my life... read more

I want to start off by saying I do not know how they do not have more amazing reviews. I have had a few massages done in my short life, and this place has been the absolute best. I received both a massage and a facial. The ladies who helped me were the sweetest and friendliest people that have done service for me. Being a server, I tend to have a lot of back & neck pain. After my massage I immediately noticed my pain was gone. It felt as though a literal weight had been taken off my shoulders. The cool thing is when you schedule as massage and a facial they let you lay there and relax in the heated beds while the lady who does the facials comes in. Mine was so sweet and helped me learn more about my skin type. She noted everything she was doing & always made sure I was comfortable. Neither one talked too much. I say that because I've had some where you couldn't relax because they were talking your ear off. These ladies did talk in the beginning to mention what they were doing & occasionally asked if pressure & everything was okay. But overall it was super relaxing. Extremely unprofessional is an understatement... they called me to cancel my appointment 2 hours before the actually appointment. I had scheduled the appointment as a part of a friend's birthday celebration, which is why if I could give negative stars I would. I'm not even the type of person that ask for accommodations, but the fact that they treated the situation like "deal with it" and offered no "sorry for the inconvenience" at all drives me to write their cooperate headquarters. DO NOT get membership at the Massage envy at peninsula town center! Worst mistake for relaxation. They have let my friends and I down on multiple occasions. They hardly have appointments available, you can hear the supervisor complaining in her office about staff members calling in sick and not showing up for work, your appointment you book is sometimes not honored because they either double book and act like you didn't schedule an appointment or they don't have enough staff that day, and they may let you get your massage and then tell you there is a payment afterwards, when clearly you have a massage session left because you have membership with them. I think the worst treatment comes from them when you purchase membership. DO NOT purchase membership because they will accumulate because they don't have enough available appointments and so it's hard to use your sessions. These complaints happened to me and I've not even listed what happened to my friends at this massage envy!! I used to love to get massages in grad school so I tried to continue the tradition at this location, but they are unprofessional and rude most of the time (not the masseuse, just the supervisor and front desk). read more

I've been coming to this location for years and the massages are almost always amazing. The front desk staff is always very accommodating and helpful. I'm leaving a review today because for the first time, I had an appointment with Ginger, and OH MY GOD. That was the best massage I've ever had. I have sciatica, and I'm achy from being a new mother. I left there feeling so relaxed I wasn't sure if I was going to be able to drive. Goodness. You better give this girl a raise!! read more

I got there 20 minutes early, so I waited and waited half an hour later nobody was coming to checked on me so I went to the front desk and ask. They have forgotten that I had an appointment. I know that they are busy, but that is why I made appointment. What really bothers me one of the black Lady in the front desk she just said we can't do anything about it and she needs to come back, she is not a very friendly person she doesn't even smile. Is just like she is being force to worked there. The management need to checked on this, I got there early so I don't miss my appointment when they called me, one day before my appointment. This place is not organize not friendly I don't recommend this place to anyone. read more

My review is based on multiple visits. As a hairstylist myself I have grown accustomed to serving my guest as if they were company in my home... And I sometimes forget when I go to other establishments that I should be treated as such when I am their guest. Massage Envy's staff does just that. The environment is serene, the front desk is friendly, the therapists are great. I have gone to 3 therapist since my first visit. I can't remember the first girls name but I believe she did very well in relaxing me, the second was Tara who has since transferred to another location and finally Ariel. I have realized that Ariel is the therapist that I need for my current condition and I learned quickly to prebook my appointments with her or I wouldn't get an appointment that works with both of our schedules. With that being said I usually am good about remembering my appointment but I really appreciate a call to remind me. Each time I make an appointment the assure me they will call me the day before and yet I have only received one reminder call since. My last appointment I didn't set in my phone calendar to notify me and I forgot all about it. The bad thing about that is I lose the $$ I paid for the massage. I have the membership and I like to get massages every month. I like that they offer various discounts to qualifying memberships. I love that they are conveniently located at PTC. If you are going to go to Massage Envy I highly recommend Ariel. read more
