I have always had the Deep Tissue Massage, as I work hard, and I really need that work-out type of massage. She inquires of pains, to be sure she does not work too hard on any special areas, as well as areas that need additional attention. After my massage, I always ask why I do not come here more often. I have been doing PT on a ruptured Achilles and all that comes with it for about a month, which results in me doing leg day effectively 4-5 times a week. The work has been good for my muscles and correcting issues, but it's also a lot and my hips, thighs and feet needed some work. She leveraged multiple different types of massage modalities and helped me ID what was in need of more work. AND, while asking me to detail the situation to work on, she didn't count that in the massage time giving me the full 60 minutes in addition to the time we spent talking about the needs. I feel MUCH better and am still taking in as much water as I can to flush my system of the crap she released with the work. I regret not living here (from AZ) as I would see her more often, but I am sending my daughter to her instead. Heartily recommend, especially if you have real areas that need work. She has good advice and options to help, and she does great work!

I noticed Mirage Massage just opened and figured it would be easier to book an appointment there. So, I went to their online site (www.miragemassagewhidbey.com) and was able to book an appointment for the next week! The clinic was only 20 minutes away by foot from my house, so I got in some steps and walked. I arrived 15 minutes early for my appointment and walked in to find a little waiting room/reception with a couch and chair. Not much in the way of decor, but this clinic just opened, so that isn't a surprise. Shortly after I arrived my masseuse, Sue, walked in and introduced herself and led me to the massage table. The massage room was comfortably arranged with the table in the center with an overstuffed chair on one side and a side table with the music speaker, hot towel machine, and accents. I regret I didn't strike up a conversation with Sue to find out how long she had been working as a masseuse or anything else about her work history, but I still had an enjoyable and relaxing massage. I just hope she doesn't get so busy that I can't book future appointments!

As you can imagine that is not a good thing when you are needed to be reliable and you can't come in! My doctor gave me muscle relaxers. The Emergency Room gave me injections. I tried staying in bed off my feet. I tried praying for relief from the muscle spasms. The ONLY respite from the pain has been the deep tissue massage I have received from this wonderful massage location. They offer a variety of massage and the duration. I can't recommend this business highly enough‼ I've gone many times and the experience is always the same. Consistent, kind, powerful massage given at a reasonable cost. We called ahead, booked a same day 90-minute couples massage (for $90 each). The facility looked newly renovated, and the massage beds were legit comfy. Things were already off to a great start. My therapist was absolutely legend 5 stars level. I'm the kind of person who wants a massage thats really deep tissue, the kind where you're wondering if you'll be sore tomorrow (in a good way). Mission accomplished here. My husband, on the other hand, prefers the "press, but don't punish" kind of massage, and his therapist delivered a solid medium-to-firm pressure. We both walked out feeling like limp noodles in the best way possible. Now for downsides. The couples massage room shares a wall with Domino's pizza. So while you're trying to relax and find your Zen, the soundtrack might include wall banging, doors slamming, kitchen chaos, and shouting. Also, your therapists are the front desk, so don't be surprised if they dash out mid-massage to take a phone call or help someone else. Hustle culture is alive and well here. I respect this a lot but it does momentarily yank you out of your relaxation bubble. One more heads-up they love an upsell. Aromatherapy? $$. CBD lotion ? $$$? We weren't sure what was included and what was a la carte, which made us a bit hesitant. Turns out hot stones were included, but we almost missed out because we thought it was extra. Just ask before you commit to anything or tell them at the beginning you want nothing added it on just what you purchased. Bottom line, if you're in Burlington and need a quality, affordable massage this place is a gem. Just don't expect total tranquility but you can get pizza afterwards!
