I decided to visit Stephanie for a massage after reading the other glowing Yelp reviews and I was not disappointed! As others have said she is very kind and passionate about her work. It was my first professional massage and she definitely worked some magic on a nagging tension I was feeling in my back. She was talkative when appropriate and always gave me the opportunity to stay quiet and relax. Stephanie won't only give you a great massage, but she will also try to find out what is causing your pain in the first place and give you sound advice on how to improve your condition. The extra portions of a massage that I didn't anticipate (I.E. hands / feet / face) were especially nice! If I had to pick out any negative about the experience I would say that the music isn't my cup of tea, but I think it would be unreasonable to try and massage someone while playing metal or grunge so I really can't hold that against her! Overall I highly recommend Stephanie for a great massage experience! read more

I've been going to Stephanie for a few months now and I have the best experiences with her. Whenever I move cities, I try to find someone I can consistently go to and there is no one better in Baltimore than Stephanie. She is extremely professional and will ask you what you would like to have worked on and focus on relieving your tensions and aches. I'm currently in grad school and am constantly hunched over a pile of books so I hold a lot of tension in my shoulders. Before I came to see Stephanie, the pain in my shoulder/neck area was so bad I could not even turn my neck, but after a couple of sessions with her they were GONE. I didn't do anything else, I just got massaged by her and her hands are magic! I definitely will not be needing to look for any other masseuse in Baltimore as I only plan on scheduling with her. read more

I was in Baltimore visiting friends a few months back, and made an appointment for a massage while there. Stephanie was actually my first experience with professional massage. Since then I've had a few massages from different therapists closer to home, but I can without hesitation say that Stephanie is by far the best. She explained everything she was going to do beforehand, and made sure I was comfortable and relaxed throughout. It was absolute heaven! She's very sensitive to clients' needs, and I can't wait to be back in Baltimore to schedule another appointment! read more

I had 90 minute session with Stephanie Thursday. Once again, an awesome massage. I was feeling a bit run down and sore, Stephanie's healing hands melted it all away. Two thumbs up for Massage by Stephanie! read more

Stephanie is amazing! Unlike your typical spa/fluffy massage, she understands and is accustomed to working with people who have injuries or chronic pain. She is skilled at using various techniques to attack the underlying causes. I have been a client for almost 2 years and would not dream of using anyone else. I highly recommend Massage by Stephanie read more

My massage with Stephanie was honestly the best one I've ever had. Her tiny studio in the back of Shearz Salon was unexpectedly comfortable, cozy and sound proof. The whole thing was relaxing and she managed to hit every pressure point and work out tension in so many different areas. Her prices are unbeatable and she is very professional. I highly recommend her. read more

Fantastic Experience !!! For the last 9 months I have been going through the most stressful situation I have faced in my life . . . And I am 50. I had an epicenter of pain radiating from my neck that was so bad it made my skull ache. My back throbbed and even my hands hurt. I started looking on YELP for therapeutic massage. Stephanie's reviews were impressive. I also appreciated a professional looking web presence and even more important Stephanie's credentials. It was obvious she had passion for her work and that she had a multidisciplinary approach where she could bring different techniques to bear. I contacted her explaining my situation. I admitted I didn't know what I really needed being I had only had 1 massage and that was in 1992. She recommended a 90 minute session due to the level of discomfort I was having. We set it up and I looked forward to it. My wife is a patient at Johns Hopkins so we set it up for her home office which was nice and close. Plenty of parking available in front of her house. I was a bit apprehensive that I would feel uncomfortable but Stephanie seemed to make that disappear. Her home was nice with a calm aura . . . Nice smells, soft music, etc. The massage was great. A very calm relax full atmosphere. Stephanie explained what she was doing along the way. It was comfortable talking or not talking which was great. She really spent the first 30 mins untangling my knotty neck and shoulders. Then she worked each area releasing tension I wasn't even aware I had like the bottoms of my feet. Very professional and very personal in that I felt like she really tailored the program to my specific needs. She even gave me some small things I could do to help myself between sessions. The only downside is that she is 500 miles from where I live in Ohio. If my wife's medical condition keeps us here I will definitely schedule another appointment. Why did I wait so long!!! Highly recommended. read more

We are really missing Stephanie and hope she move back to the USA very soon. Anyone know a referral, please share!

Stephanie is intuitive and strong. She listens to what I want...there's no cookie cutter massages here. I am a massage therapist and I will continue to seek out Stephanie's work because I think she's talented and compassionate. read more

I had a great experience with Stephanie. I got a 60 minute massage at the student/teacher discounted rate,. This was my first professional massage in the US, and so I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but I was very pleased. Stephanie made sure to ask if I had any problems before we began, and if there were any spots I didn't want touched. She even thoroughly massaged my feet, scalp, and face. The whole experience was extremely relaxing and I will be returning for another service here. read more

I've tried several places in Baltimore, but Stephanie was the first that seemed to target the most troubled spots. I'm dealing with a disc injury, so having the right areas addressed is crucial for me. She was thorough in exploring the most beneficial course of action, and she was very communicative over email when scheduling conflicts arose. read more

This was a fantastic experience. Unfortunately, when I had made my first appointment, she had to cancel, but offered to reschedule a longer massage to make up for it. It was well worth it. She was extremely professional and clearly experienced, it was a wonderful massage and I'm looking forward to the next time I can visit. I only wish that she had a more flexible schedule as her limited hours don't match my availability. read more

Over the course of my 10 years in Baltimore, I have tried many of the local businesses and individual massage therapists. However, Stephanie is by far the best and I would go weekly if I had the opportunity. She gives a truly custom massage and does a wonderful job of tailoring every massage to whatever would be the most helpful at the time - be it a more relaxing massage you can fall asleep during or working out every knot in your body. Highly recommend! read more

I've been going to Stephanie for about six months for treatment of headaches and whiplash. She's always very flexible and accommodates whatever has changed for me since our last visit.
