The person that gave YMT three stars obviously misunderstood the clinic. I had sprained my lat at the gym and was prescribed anti-inflammatory medication by my doctor. By the third week I was still experiencing pain and stiffness, needless to say I was fed up. I decided to go to a sports injury therapist and found Matvey Kipershtein at YMT. After one session with him I was free of my pain. The next day I no longer had the pain or stiffness and within a couple days I was back at the gym. Matvey is skilled, knowledgeable and honest. He knows his stuff and will answer any questions you have. There was never any pressure for follow up appointments and during my appointment there was never any feelings of a time constraint (as stated in the three star review).

I came here for acupuncture through a recommendation. The original acupuncturist my friend…read morerecommended is no longer there, so I booked with another practitioner, who my friend said was professional. Unfortunately, my most recent visit was pretty disappointing. My appointment was booked from 6:45-7:45 PM. I did arrive late around 7:03PM (as listed on my Google Maps history), so I completely understood that I might lose some treatment time because of that. However, the session ended at around 7:30 PM because I was told there was another appointment afterward. Cutting me off 15 mins of time. What confused me was that when I went to the front desk afterward, they told me her next appointment actually wasn't until 8PM, and later explained there had been a mistake with the scheduling/timing on acupuncturist' end. I understand mistakes happen, but I was still billed for the full hour appointment before I even came out, and no solution was offered other than being told to email the owner myself. It was frustrating because while I tried to be understanding about arriving late, it didn't feel like the issue was handled appropriately once it became clear the scheduling mistake was on their end as well. The appointment was good overall, I like that she also did a bit of massage while doing acupuncture. Though the cupping was a bit pinchy on my skin and maybe some oil application would be better as she was sliding it around like gwa sha. Just as I was relaxing into it, it got cut off sooner. The language barrier made it tough for her to explain conditions, so better if you can understand and can communicate with her in mandarin. Though not a big deal. I'll still consider coming back if they offer a resolution. Just sharing my experience so others are aware. They shouldn't have billed the customer already before they come out of their session. At that point the front desk couldn't do refunds or provide a solution. **Update owner called me directly after and offered 30 mins session for the mistake so I appreciate it. Will revisit when I have a chance.

This is the best foot spa in the greater Toronto area, no doubt. Have been coming here for over a…read moreyear now, and all of their attendants really give amazing foot massages. The pressure is absolutely perfect (you can ask them to go hard, medium or soft, whichever you prefer). Susan is my absolute favourite, as she has the best technique, and is very friendly and sweet. Though you can't go wrong with anyone else here. They provide a free drink of water/tea, and dim the lights for you, and the focus is on the massage, not small talk. The technique they use for the foot massage is as good as it gets here in Canada (I can only imagine what foot massages feel like in China). Try Susan, Alex, Lucy, or literally any of the amazing attendants here, and you won't be disappointed!

Its the technique used. I don't like it when someone is yanking at my toes or trying to crack my toes. THe 3 points i told them to focus on every-time gives me lighter feeling and good vibes of the session. 1 hour goes by really fast. They do serve teas. Be aware that its always busy here. I would reccommend Alex. I've only did or tried the Foot massage session nothing else. A+++++

But more than anything, their RMTs are top-notch: skilled, professional, pleasant. Special shoutout to Manuela, who has helped me deal with various aches and pains all these years. I think the best way to describe how Manuela treats you is she listens with her hands - she never just goes through the motions or just sticks to a checklist. While she asks you at the start where the problematic areas are, she is also always hyper-aware as she goes through the treatment on areas you never thought needed a bit more work. Would highly highly recommend Manuela and Bayview RMT.

Let's talk about their "no-show" fee. They charge you for the full missed appointment of $110. Let's say you miss an appointment, for whatever reason, you'll be charged their full rate because of "corporate policy". Even if the service provider that came in stayed for only 15 minutes and they called you to confirm you won't be coming the day of your appointment. How does a company justify charging full rate of service for a no-show when the acupuncturist only stays for 15 minutes? Let's say $25 on gas for travel (aggressively high) and $25/15 minutes of stay for the acupuncturist, we're only at $50 compared to $110 charged. Their corporate policy is to steal from their customers.
