This is absolutely the worst experience I have ever had as a young college student renting in…read moreJackson MS, and I will NEVER again rent from Alicen Blanchard LLC, and sadly, the Overby Company as a whole, simply due to the absolute unprofessionalism of Alicen Blanchard and EJ Blanchard. If I could rate below a 1 star I would. Alice treated my roommate and I as if we were beneath her and had no idea whatsoever on any kind of rental laws. The apartment itself was cute upon initial observation, but with time, we began to have MANY issues, and began noticing the low quality of the apartment as a whole, from the floor actually coming up in pieces, the walls incorrectly painted, staining at the simple touch of a hand, the front door not correctly installed, resulting in great difficulty in locking and unlocking the door, as well as simply issues with closing the door, as well as a leaking kitchen sink. ALL of which were reported NUMEROUS times and simply ignored, although we were told people would be coming, and they NEVER came. We had issues ANY time anything was reported that needed to be fixed. And even had an instance where the back door ENTIRE knob fell off and we could not fix ourselves, so let them know, and were told that it was not an emergency and could have waited for a later time to fix. Also, I had the WORST experience with the ceiling in my room that leaked, and was reported and was left until I no longer had cooking bowls to catch the water. This was a process of which I dealt with for 2 months, of which Alicen distributed a $100 deduction from 1 months rent due to the issues at hand, which I was grateful for, until when the leaky ceiling continued and she was told about it, as I had no more bowls to catch the water, she stated, "you can use the $100 reduction I gave to buy buckets to catch the water". And the most current form of ABSOLUTE UNPROFESSIONALISM, has been displayed in our move-out time frame, as we have paid the entire month of May's rent, and plan to move out on the 23rd. Alicen did not call, only text, of which is her favorite form of communication, as it is very hard to actually get her on the phone, regarding a showing she wanted to do, in which she demanded that my roommate and I be gone for about 3 hours from our apartment and remove our animals from the premises so that she could show the apartment (of which we still reside within). My roommate and I could not accommodate her on this date as we both work and could not be off for those times to get our dogs, of which we attempted to kindly let her know. She then turned very nasty towards us, telling us she was only required to give us a 24-hour notice, and that "they were still coming and noting that we were refusing to remove our dogs, therefore she is not responsible for any actions she must take towards the dogs when she entered the premises." She has since not answered or returned any form of communication from my roommate or myself. I hope she does not treat other tenants in such a manner, but my roommate and I have never had such unprofessional treatment as college students, and wish we had stayed with Belhaven Residential within the Belhaven in Jackson area. She seems to treat male tenants with more professionalism and politeness, as when we spoke with other tenants to see if they were having the same issues, they claimed she was extremely sweet to them, of which we have not seen, with the exception of the initial showing of the apartment that we had with her. I am also filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and will NEVER recommend more use anything with Alicen Blanchard involved again. If anyone is in need of proof of how she speaks to tenants, the texts messages are saved and can be sent to you, and if you need any more examples of the issues we had, just simply ask, there were PLENTY of examples of unprofessionalism and absolute disregard or unawareness of landlord tenant laws.

I rent from Christina at Terrmark realty. I have informed her of a leak for over 10 months now and…read morecan't get it fixed. She is rude to deal with and not interested in fixing the problems at the property. I also had the dehumidifier almost catch on fire. They won't replace it and now there is condensation all over the windows. Mold is now starting to develop. I basically have to beg to get them to come over and the last time Christina entered my apartment WITHOUT MY PERMISSION. These people are horrible to deal with. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.

Beware! I rented…read morefrom Terramark Real Estate for 2.5 years in two (2) different homes. Upon moving in, both homes had noticeable damages and defects. In regards to the most recent home, on move-in day, there was trash left all through-out the home, appliances left, and broken flooring/walls. I was left to clean the property myself. I was then assured that these damages were "minor repairs" caused by the previous tenants, and I would not be responsible for them. The condition of the home was not inspected or documented upon my move in. At the conclusion of my lease, I was not given my security deposit back due to the damages caused by previous tenants. I was told that this was a "normal business practice." Terramark clearly fails to use standard documentation practices in an attempt to get as much money as possible from tenants. Terramark has undergone management issues the entire time I have been involved with the company. I would have to text message different workers at the company to get assistance, as calling the company and leaving voicemails never seemed to be an effective method of communication for them. 0/10
