I can't seem to edit my 2010 review, so I'll post an update here…read more I truly appreciated my time at the ISB. I never forgot the experience and the lessons have influenced how I move through the world since. 12 years later, I still wish I had written down the woman's name so I could post it accurately. While I was being playful in my account back then, I know how important names are to people all over the world, within all cultures and traditions. I regret renaming someone Jack...especially someone who had taken so much time and care to share a tradition with me. I'd like to keep the story up...but I also wanted to share my sincere apology.

Islamic Society of Boston.. Today is my first mosque visit since I came to Boston about two weeks…read moreago and my heart feel so warmed by the experience I had today.. So after doing some shopping at Costco today, we decided to go to this mosque for zuhur prayer. So when we walk in, it was really quiet. I went to get abulation and started looking for the women's prayer room. Couldn't find it. So I just walk down the hallway waiting for my husband to finish his prayer. I planned to get him to do the exploring for me. I couldn't help noticing there were many greeting cards plastered all over the wall. Some were in kids writing so I assume there are classes for children held here at the mosque. While waiting a guy came and said hello to me. He ask if those kids praying upstairs at the men's area my children. I said yes and he praises on how beautiful they are. Well, thank you. He then began telling me that he has 23 grandchildren himself! Anyway, my husband who just finished praying start talking to him. So when he found out that I haven't been able to find the women's prayer room, he started to give us a personal tour of the mosque. There are big prayer room for women (and men, of course), kids play room, office, kitchen and a few other areas. I went to pray while my husband keep chatting with the lovely guy. After that I noticed there are more greeting cards plastered in the prayer area. And the content just fill my hearts with hope and love. These cards are from people around the neighbourhood that has shown support and solidarity with the Muslim community here. Remember those cards in the hallway? Those cards are actually prayers and well wishes too. This is one of them that the mosque proudly put up in the women's prayer room. "Dear Islamic Society of Boston, Our family wanted to send you messages of love to let you know that you are respected and appreciated. We will stand up to the hate and intolerence that is happening in our country as will so many others. Sending love and light. Sincerely, Erin Fera, Andy Stein, Antonia Fera-Stein (age 3 yrs old). There were many more. So today, I left the mosque feeling uplifted first by the friendliness of the mosque's rep who showed us around and secondly by the support this community has shown to each other. You all have my utmost respect!

Dear Esteemed Members of the Board of Trustees,…read more Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh, I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to bring to your attention a concern regarding the parking situation at the mosque. It has become increasingly difficult for worshipers to find parking spaces, especially during peak prayer times. From my understanding, many of the parking spots are being used for purposes other than accommodating the congregation. This forces worshipers to park on the street, which risks parking tickets or even having their vehicles towed. Since the mosque owns the parking area, I kindly request that its use be prioritized for worshipers. Ensuring sufficient parking for attendees aligns with the mosque's purpose of serving the community and facilitating worship. A review of the current parking arrangements could help address this issue, such as reserving spaces exclusively for worshipers during prayer times or implementing other practical solutions. Thank you for your attention to this matter and for your continued dedication to managing and improving the mosque for the benefit of the community. May Allah reward your efforts and grant you success in all that you do. Jazakum Allahu Khairan,
