First off, my hotel, Le Meridien (Ramblas) provided free daily passes to my friend and me. I wanted to swim, and though the pool at Holmes wasn't a typical full-size pool, it was easily long enough as a lap pool. It felt like it was about 15 yards long, and had 3 standard sized lanes. It was heated just right too, and immaculate, with was completely encased in stainless steel (including the bottom). Amazing jacuzzi, sauna, and steam rooms (all coed, unlike at Equinox). The people at the club are all very clean and no meatheads. The staff is exceedingly nice, and the place, again, is immaculate. Everything from cotton swabs to towels are provided. Pool has kickboards, fins, and other stuff for swimmer types. They have classes, though we just watched them. Best part is that unlike Equinox, it's not overly crowded. I think it's 70 euros for monthly membership, but seemed expensive if you wanted to pay for day passes (I think about 20 euros). The club also has amazing food, and at a great price. Probably some of the best meals we had were at Holme's Place. Very healthy too. They serve you a 3-course meal (e.g. salad, entree, dessert) for 11 euros. You can sub a coffee for the dessert too. And the WiFi is free, so you can work out, then eat, and get some work done in a lovely dining room. Equinox could learn a thing or two from this place. I will miss it immensely. I'm a sucker for cold water and free! Lol locker room with plenty of lockers to use, multiple showers, and toilets, per sex. Lots of Barbells to use, I came in for open box hours, loved it soo much, I'm coming back for a group class to try it. I'm not a crossfit style guy. But the staff here were very welcoming I'm gonna give it a try.

Staff is friendly and professional most of them speak Spanish and some English so you can fight through some of the small details to get the workout done without any issues. $15 Euro drop in and of course I got a shirt but they open early and most things I found in Barcelona don't, so coming from Chicago, it was nice to get my workout in and be done by 8am. Plenty of time to get on with being a tourist. Easy enough to grab a cab back to my hotel there are plenty of them around. I just waked 2 block to a bigger street and it was much easier than fighting my way on public transportation.

Watching it from the TV and being there live is so surreal, imho. It wasn't cheap as we thought Alcaraz was gonna be in the Semi's & unfortunately he withdrew after we got our Tix so Tickets went down significantly. However, it was more an experience for us and make sure to wear a lot of Sunscreen, bring your big hat & sunglasses

From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere completely transports you. The lighting, the architecture, the candles, the pools... it's an experience from start to finish. And listen, pay for the add ons. They are 100% worth it. I added the glass of wine and premium chocolates, and both were delicious. They also have unlimited hot tea and water throughout the experience, which made everything feel even more luxurious and relaxing. My absolute favorite part was the isolated jacuzzi chambers. After spending a week walking all over Spain, sitting in those hot pools felt like heaven. And don't even get me started on the salt pool. I could have floated in there for hours. Honestly, I almost did chile lol. Everything about this place feels intentional and calming. Next time I visit, I'm definitely adding one of the hot stone massages because if the baths alone were this incredible, I already know the massages are next level too. This place was everything. Easily one of the most relaxing experiences I had in Barcelona or ever. Perfect for this tired teacher on spring break.

We all opted for the orange massage which included a relaxing facial. The baths in the basement area were clean, and despite their rules banning affection, we still saw people making out and getting cozy in one of the pools. The 90 minute massage and facial service was a treat for less than €200, and they offer L'Occitane hair and body products in the shower. A nice added touch are their packaged, unused hairbrushes and basic toiletries to use after your service. Though we paid for a 90 minute visit, the massage and facial felt a bit shy of 1 hour. Nevertheless, we all had a relaxing time and were happy to be able to pamper ourselves while on vacation.
