My father being a lawyer changed the language a bit and I sent it back saying if they were uncmfortable with my changes to tell me. She also worked incredibly well with my photographers and videographers. They collaborated naturally, respected each other's space and ideas, and Alyssa added so many creative touches of her own. It was such an unpredictable time and Maia graciously worked with us on all our date changes. We definitely felt that we were more than just "business" to her and that she truly cared for us and our big day. She was both our engagement and wedding photographer and both those times she made me and my husband feel safe, comfortable, and brought out the absolute awesomeness in us! I'm definitely the type who's got a lot of insecurities but she made sure to adjust certain things like my hair, clothes, the angles to get shots that she knew I would be happy with. On our wedding day, she got things to move along since we were really behind on time. She knows what needs to be done and is efficient with her time. My dress got stained from my flowers and out of nowhere, Maia comes in with her Tide Pen and the stain is gone! Like what??? Not even my bridesmaids were prepared for that! I am not one to leave negative reviews lightly, but I feel it's important to share my experience to…read moreprevent other brides from going through what I did. My wedding videographer completely fell short of professionalism, communication, and delivering on her contract. Her contract stated that videos would be delivered within 60 days, yet it took over 110 days to receive anything close to what was promised. She missed her own deadlines at least seven times, each time with a new excuse. Communication was poor throughout the process, and it became clear she was not being truthful about her progress or intentions. The wedding highlight video she eventually sent was late and had issues. The sound was off, and it contained random footage of a desert--not even from our wedding day. On top of that, despite advertising drone footage, she didn't use a drone at our wedding. Three months later, she showed up at our venue (without notifying us) to get drone footage, which obviously wasn't from our wedding day, and she added that into the highlight video after fixing the sound. While the highlight video turned out cute in the end, it wasn't authentic to our wedding day, which is incredibly disappointing. We also NEVER received our fully edited videos as promised. After months of excuses, being blocked, ignoring our demand letter, and given so many chances to solve this matter amicably, I am now having to take Carly to small claims court. I consider myself a very patient and understanding person, but this experience was beyond unprofessional. It was heartbreaking to trust someone with such an important day and be let down so completely. While I can give credit for the highlight video being nice in the end (besides not having the drone footage from our wedding), it doesn't excuse the lack of integrity and communication, missed deadlines, breach of contract, and missing our footage we paid for.
