Finds is definitely one of the most upscale consignment shops I've ever seen. The decor they have is exquisite, and you will always see antiques from near and far. Every town deserves an independent bookseller like this, but sadly not every town is fortunate…read moreenough to have one. I am thankful that Lewistown (where I grew up and visit once or twice per year), is one of the lucky ones. The place is absolutely charming, occupying the bottom floor of a stately old house in the heart of downtown. They make excellent use of the space and offer something for everyone on beautiful wooden shelves. Bibliophiles of all ages and interests are covered here. The children's section gets its own room and the selection there is particularly strong. There are a few places to sit if you find yourself getting lost in a prospective purchase. Besides books, they carry puzzles, games, calendars, cards, and some decorative items. It takes passion and dedication to open a shop like this in today's retail landscape. I sincerely hope that they flourish! I will be sure to visit every time that I'm in town.

However, it's still an excellent antique store with lots of dishes, lamps, cast iron, old cameras, old furniture, almost anything you can think of. The prices seemed reasonable for the most part. The most expensive things we saw were perfectly seasoned old cast iron pans and those are truly worth the price written. The folks working were friendly and helpful, they have clean bathrooms (a huge plus if you're walking around town exploring) and overall it's just a fun store to walk around in. Check it out!

They also cover upcoming events in the county. They still deliver a daily newspaper right to your door and also have an online version. A great resource for anyone living in this area or anyone interested in finding out more about it.
