Lastly, I only gave this event 4 stars because (I felt) it lacked a good selection of food. One gets hungry when browsing in the hot sun; and the cuisine pickings were pretty slim!

Recently finished Mike Harris' Intro to Improv 101 course (7 week course)- it was a blast. Had fun and learned a lot. As a student you get to go to all BIG's shows for free which is nice, good learning opportunity. They have various types of improv shows every Thurs-Sat nights, been to several and enjoyed them. Highly recommend taking a course or seeing a show. Am now in Michael Furr's standup comedy class which has been amazing so far. Aesthetics wise, it's no luxury theatre (they rely on donations and grants to stay operating, so this is understandable!) but it gets the job done and is homey. Convenient location near a few local bars. Parking Tip: If attending an evening show, get there early if you want to find easy street parking right out front (cheap, pay via kiosk or Parkmobile app). There's a parking garage across the street that's $5 if you tell them you're there for the theatre.

After visiting her website, I found it to be well-organized and easy to navigate. I chose the 30-minute spiritual guidance session ($130), and I appreciated that I was able to book a same-day appointment--it was exactly what I needed during such an anxious time. Within a few hours of booking, I received confirmation emails along with the Zoom link, which made the process smooth and reassuring. According to her website, the 30-minute session allows for 5-8 questions, so I took advantage of that by preparing my questions ahead of time since this was my very first spiritual reading. During the session, I asked about my love life as well as some questions regarding relatives who have passed. At times, I provided some clarification to help guide the reading. Later that night, after the session, I received a phone call from my stepdad that ended up reassuring me about my love life in a way that felt very similar to what Angela had shared during the reading, which I found interesting. Angela herself was beautiful, kind, and had a very calming and joyful presence throughout the session. While a few parts of the reading left me questioning, much of what she shared felt accurate--especially regarding situations I'm currently going through and details about my family members. Overall, it was a comforting experience during a time when I truly needed peace and direction. A typical week includes two types of fruit, some sort of leafy green (salad greens in spring, kale and such later on), some sort of potatoes, an additional veggie (like peppers, onions, and/or eggplant), a loaf of bread and a dozen eggs. My girlfriend and I take one share, designed for a family of four, and we eat well all summer and fall and are able to save a significant amount for winter. They're usually open every Saturday with extra foods and meats for sale. Lastly, even though this is a family operation, they are always quick to credit their "workshares" - members who work picking and/or packing produce in exchange for reduced rates on their CSA. A local business worth supporting.
