I will forever be grateful for my experience with my therapist here. Prior to AICT, I had been in…read moretherapy for anxiety and depression for more than 6 years, and I thought I must be beyond help. My treatment at AICT was a different story. My therapist helped me learn new ways of coping and responding to my thoughts and the world. It was a lot of work, not just going in and talking about your week or discussing your past like with my previous therapists. I had homework to do between sessions, and I had to work to rethink about my values and the way I reacted to myself and others. But my time here changed my life for the better.

I initially started seeing Lauren after reading a few Yelp reviews, and she has now been my…read moretherapist for over two years. When I first started seeing her, I was looking to find someone who had experience in dealing with trauma and anxiety, and now that I have been able to work with her through many different experiences in my life, I really look forward to having someone to discuss the trials and tribulations of my day to day. She makes me feel super comfortable - I can really speak with her about anything. She is completely nonjudgemental, and I can use the same candor with her that I can with some of my closest friends. She has also been very easy going about appointment rescheduling and always offers to find a time, or even to connect via Skype if need be. I really value my relationship with her, and am so glad I made the decision to start seeing her because now she has become an integral part in my self development. She also has the most incredible memory and always makes me feel not only like she is intently listening to everything I say, but that she genuinely cares about me. I highly, highly recommend her; in the time I've been going to see her I have made leaps and bounds of progress and I am so grateful that she has been with me through it all encouraging me to take steps in the right direction.
