Great doc. Unsafe facility for crips. "Team" can't refill a standing prescription to save my life.read more

Honestly the only reason I come to this facility is because my PCP is here and I've been his…read morepatient since before I had need for specialists. He's amazing and would get five stars on his own. Unfortunately... the rest of the place leaves something to be desired. The front desk staff is overwhelmingly Christian, which is perhaps to be expected from a pseudo-Catholic hospital affiliate. I'm sure that's great for their mental health, if not their eternal souls, but it does leave one with the issues one generally has with loudly-Christian folk, including self-righteousness, ableism, and homophobia. They've recently taken down the "inspirational" (read: prejudiced) printouts wallpapering many cubicles so we'll see how that goes. I have not had much luck here with specialists: My wife, a friend, and I have been refused exams (by different doctors) because of being overweight. I was told "fat people have pain" as if I am too stupid to tell the difference between mild arthritis and a displaced kneecap. Whoopsie! My wife was accused of drug-seeking after a brutal car accident; I got the same from a different doctor because I worked at a pharmacy for years and used the word "drug" instead of "medication" to describe my super-exciting and TOTALLY recreational cholesterol and blood pressure meds. Despite a pair of vicious surgery scars, I was informed that the surgery I had didn't exist. After I paid out of pocket for copies of 24-year-old paper medical records from a non-affiliated hospital, the doctor acknowledged that I had had the surgery but I just didn't know the right name for it. She refused to tell me the "correct" name. I could go on, and I could name names, but the bottom line is that this is a PERVASIVE issue in the culture of the practice. Patients are treated more like enemy combatants than partners in healthcare. There is a saying or belief in Baltimore about doctors. You go to Hopkins if you're good enough You go to University of Maryland if you can stand the politics You go to Mercy if you can stand the religious culture You go to GBMC if you can't stand either You go to MedStar if no one else will hire you ...Overlea just so often fails to live up to Mercy's place on that list.

I will be honest, but I will be fair…read more Honest: The front desk staff is terrible and per further research, they have always been terrible. The lack of empathy and professionalism is both astonishing and scary. There seems to be some evil entity that resides within because there is no plausible reason why Dr. O referred my children to a specialist and staff members refused to submit the correct paperwork. Due to their negligence, my children missed out on appointments that took months of being scheduled and wait-listed. Goodtime Pediatrics aka Goodtime Family Care has a history of doing so, causing another patient to miss an appointment that she waited 6 months for! This is highly unacceptable and the substandard care is not welcome in this field. Especially not as it relates to children! What kind of people would refuse to fax a sheet of PAPER, when it is now June and I have been asking both in person and via phone since April?! I made a formal complaint and will continue to do so on as many avenues as I see fit. Do not send your children to this practice with this negative cloud of energy from staff members! Even when other doctors contact this office on behalf of patients, they are still met with the same unprofessionalism and bs attitude from Ronda Herry. I am also blocked from being able to comment on the patient portal. Fair: Dr. Osuwagu and Mrs. Dr. Osuwagu have good bedside manner. Unfortunately, the staff tainted the practice. After several years, I won't be returning.

We went back for preschool shots bc of the immunization history we shared. We bought preschool forms in to be signed showing proof of immunization for our two y/o. I explained to them that we would schedule a physical (not thru them) but just needed his shots for preschool. They told me they would fill the form out after his shots were given; of course, that only make sense. But, refused to fill the form out after giving him the two shots ($20/ea.). We were paying for everything out of pocket and weren't asking for any "favors". They gave my child his previous set of shots that's why we decided to go back for his last set (not including a full physical-$100 ) and they refused to fill out the form confirming his immunizations... AFTER completing his immunization... Ok, sure. Not sorry to say we won't be going back to this clinic.

But for the last three years, I've lived with daily pain that no medicine could touch. At my first appointment with Dr Paddock, he listened to what was going on with me over the years and reviewed the years of lab work I brought in for him to see. He then ordered a few labs at a conventional provider (Lab Corp). The new labs showed I had an active virus, and some other endocrine and vitamin deficiencies that the conventional specialists had not considered testing for. Dr Paddock recommended a few natural supplements, a safe herbal based sleep medicine, and a referral to an expert chiropractor for women's musculoskeletal issues. Starting within two weeks of his treatment plan, most of my joint and back pain and sciatica had vanished, plus I regained the energy and mental sharpness that I thought I'd lost forever. I highly recommend this smart, insightful, and caring doctor. While I am still in touch with my conventional MDs, I feel that this naturopathic approach to health has really worked for me, and I will be a patient of Dr. Paddock for years to come.

I sought out Dr. Paddock because I was interested in finding a DC-area holistic doctor who is a…read morenaturopathic physician (they study similar things in medical school like MDs do, but they also learn lots about natural medicines, nutrition, and counseling) who also specialized in homeopathy. I've seen Dr. Paddock over the last two years to receive my constitutional homeopathic remedy and have noticed great improvements in my stress levels, feeling of well-being, and some skin complaints that I had since I was a kid. I've had lots of other doctors and counselors treat me in the past, which have all helped, but the homeopathic remedy that Dr Paddock prescribes completes the treatments and gets at a deeper level of healing in my opinion. Dr. Paddock's visits are great because he doesn't rush me and I feel well-cared for. He gives nutrition and exercise counseling as part of his whole picture of advice. He's very professional and remembers me each visit, which means a lot from a doctor. He works with my other providers too, which makes for a nice team. I can also schedule appointments online through his website. Overall, a great experience.

He's one of those primary care doctors who chose primary care because they believe in it, not because they couldn't get into dermatology or surgery. He's located at GBMC, and it's easy to get lab tests downstairs. Now that I've moved away, I'm having trouble finding a doctor who even comes close to measuring up.

My father's physician was in the same practice, and same thing happened to him. Thank you, Obamacare. That's what happens when a doctor takes the time to get to know a patient today, listen to all his/her concerns, address them, explain all the side effects of prescribed medications, etc. Dr. Lamson was a consummate professional who left left no symptom unaddressed, no illness undiagnosed before you left his office. Now I go to a doctor who sees me for 15 minutes, doesn't even listen to my heart or lungs even though I have had hypertension for 25 years, and double pneumonia twice, and throws me out of my office (times up!) before I can get my prescriptions refilled. Youth of Amerika, this is your future!
