The staff are lovely and always up for chatting if you'll give them long enough. The shop is only small but stocks all the things you'd expect to find in a small newsagents. The prices are the same as most other newsagents in the area but the big drawing point for me is the long opening hours. The shops seems to open at a ridiculously early hour and doesn't stop 'til 6 making it an ideal stopping point for me on my way to or from work. You can also purchase lottery tickets (although I've yet to win!) and Burnley FC matchday programs if you're so inclined.

It's amazing how much stuff is in there. The younger guy that works in the shop (think it's the owner's son) is sound and friendly but the guy I presume is his Dad (and owner) is incredibly rude. For about two months, I wondered how he managed to work behind the till without being able to speak a word of English because he always beckoned me over with just a movement of his arm and an impatient grunt. Then sod me one morning when a chap happened to be in at the same time getting his paper, the same guy I thought couldn't speak English launched into a full blown Alreight mate how's it going? conversation and left me standing there with my jaw on the floor.

They also have 2 large chest freezers with various frozen foods, to the left wall they have all kinds of different tins of food, and further up they have a variety of wine and other alcoholic drinks. The newsagents is very small and if its busy inside here you will feel squashed up. Dhorats has got some odd opening times and they often close with out giving any notice to customers to. I feel Dhorats prices for their items are good you can find some frozen food on sale to at good prices. At summer times Dhorats is very popular with the kids and teenagers as they come often here to buy their lollies. Dhorats also sells fireworks at good prices each year. They sell magazines, confectionary and cigaretes. I think the staff in here are lovely and very helpful. The lady who works there did a lucky dip for me the other week and i won a tenner i think shes my lucky charm! :) The only bad thing about this shop is that it is very VERY small. It only fits about 3 people in at a time! Quite often they have offers on their magazines chocolates. I like to get a good bargain from here. Also they have just started selling wispas again so i ithink im guna stock up!

They also stock a little bit of everything so you could do the full family shop there if you so wished.
