Martins is a fairly large newsagents and general store which also houses the Edgeley post office in the back - it's never been a favourite of mine as everything is so over priced, it's kind of like Apu in the Simpsons when he charges $4 for a $1 tank of gas... a lot of drinks, sweets and food items are so expensive compared with other super markets and corner shops around.
I've got to say though that I'm impressed that they open at 6am most mornings - that's when I'm just about stirring so God knows what it's like for the guys who actually have to work here at that time...
Ok to pick up newspapers and magazines or hit the post office but avoid if after anything else - go to one of the many pound shops down this way instead... read more
