The waiter is knowledgeable and friendly and speaks multiple languages. He explains the dish and how it pairs with each glass of wine, making not only a delicious night, but one that teaches as well. The restaurant is just beautiful, in an old basement with a rounded ceiling and they even have a wine cellar further down. I recommend you dress fly and bring a date with you. Also, get different menus, so you can try more of the culinary journey. Also, we made reservations for a half hour later on a Saturday night. They were very accomodating. Ksanet, Bianka and Rui were amazing in their own rights and definitely were humans first and Lumiere employees second and forth. Not only did they serve us but gave us a few moments from their tight schedules to walk us through about how we could make use of a Sunday ( Switzerland for the most part is closed on Sunday's and we were not prepared for that :( ). These folks had some amazing suggestions to make through and through and helped us a lot with our questions about Switzerland and travels in general. The ambiance was stunning and the place was packed and had moderate amount of noise in there attributing to the conversations. The interiors were pretty amazing and well thought out and depicted the history of Lumiere. We ordered a side salad, octopus with sliced potatoes, tuna tartare on avocado bed and for dessert we got ourselves the lime tart. The octopus dish was outstanding just like the tuna tartare where we enjoyed every bite slowly. The salad was put together very well and the dessert topped it all off to call it an evening. This place definitely should definitely be in your list to visit in Zurich and given its proximity to Zurich HB it's an easy decision to make ( even if you had to come out of your way to grab a bite here it will be so well worth it).

My German communication abilities are childish at best and they made me feel very accommodated. Secondly the wine recommendation paired with the beef fillet was perfect. Gracious wait staff. Atmosphere from an English perspective is Euro-Sheryl. Elegant and quiet. Great for groups of 4 and couples. Or even singles like myself. Food took approximately 30 min to deliver. Beef fillet was most expensive item at €29. So moderate pricing. Very precisely cooked at request of "medium." The BBQ sauce is sweet with a growing spice heat that compliments well if you want additional flavor to the fillet. Will probably eat here during my stay's duration! Accept card and cash!
