We spent one night in the castle. I asked for a room in the main castle, but we were given annex…read morerooms. The manager told us there was a 60 euro upcharge for the main castle, which I was
not offered on Hotels.com.
So the room was okay. Up a flight of stairs and down a long hall.
Our bathroom had a bathtub with shower sprayer. There is no tv and WiFi is spotty.
The breakfast offering is limited but delicious. The croissants were wonderful. You fill out a menu when you arrive for the next morning.
Furnishings in the main sitting room appear to be castle authentic, and there is a musty smell. Parking is tricky.
This is a working tomato farm. A bottle of water is offered in the room. Other than that you should bring any other food and drink you want to your room. The restaurant on sight is not open on Monday for dinner so the staff made a reservation for us at La Cave, which is nearby and was delightful.
All in all it was a pleasant experience and a fun stay!
