Prague is a compact, beautiful city with an interesting and complex history. There are so many beautiful buildings, monuments, historical sites and such a rich cultural history that literally every few meters there is something of interest. It is also filled with an amazing number of tour groups, waling and coalescing amoeba-like wherever you go.
So, the city if perfectly suited for a private, walking tour guide, and I cannot imaging a better guide than Martina Strachova. She has a comprehensive knowledge of Prague's history, culture, architecture, and art, and she has created 3-4 hour walking tours of varied parts of the city. It was such a pleasure to explain and demonstrate points of interest, know when and when not to visit famous sites, and to be willing to totally customize your time with her to focus on your areas of personal interest.
She will answer any questions you have in detail and objectively. It was such a pleasure to stroll past the many tour groups, clustered together trying to listen to their guides as we had everything explained by a knowledgeable, professional, friendly companion. Her knowledge of the Jewish Quarter was especially impressive.
I would absolutely hire her again and can highly recommend her. We hired her for three tours on three consecutive days, and my wife and I are very glad we did. read more
