A well oiled operation....I am going to give a major shout-out to the El Segundo landscaping company, Martinez Landscaping, who today completed a major redo of our entire front yard, and part of our backyard. Two weeks daily, always on time, always with a uniformed crew, always with the bulk materials arriving and refuse being picked on time, a comprehensive, well-discussed plan, and, a contractor with a pretty decent personality, always willing and receptive to listen. It was not a cheap job, and it involved removing tons of contaminated top soil and old lawn, roots, old piping, etc., etc., planting, grading, DGing, and putting down artifical turf per the plan. I have watched many an episode of Peoples' Court featuring lawsuits against a variety of landscape contractors for a variety of reasons. No chance of that here. I hired Martin Landscaping to prep and pour a patio and alley on the side of the house, about 400 sq feet of concrete. He did a good job, was very professional, and offered to do additional improvements for a modest added cost. The work turned out great. I didn't give him 5 stars because he failed to run a sprinkler test before pouring, and I found one sprinkler head (covered by concrete) not capped properly. Probably because he did not know the layout of the system. Still, should have tested it before the pour. I fixed it myself, but it could have been much worst. read more

I called Martin Landscaping for an estimate to redo my backyard. They got right back to me and set up a time to come evaluate my property. Damien came over on time and was super nice. He said he'd email us an estimate and that it might take two weeks because they were busy. After two weeks passed I emailed the company just to make sure they had my correct email address, but I got no response. It's been 4 weeks now.... Our sprinkler systems were not working properly. We called Martin Landscaping and Damien came over, reviewed our situation (actually got into the timer, valves and surveyed the yard) hands on. He provided a written estimate for the work. Come game day he and Casey were on time as agreed and performed their work well. Their communication was excellent. Damien and Casey were refreshingly professional and competent. Look no further, Martin Landscaping is your go to landscaper for anything sprinkler related. They fixed our entire system front and back on our 6K SF lot. They also provided a new drip system for our balcony potted garden. Damien and Gary do a fantastic job of landscaping which includes not just the basics of trimming, planting, etc., but also includes lumber and rock work. They are able to work independently without direction and I really like that. If something needs trimming or replanting they can do that without my input. We did not select Martin Landscaping to do weekly scaping detail on our home! We hired them to help implement the entire design of our backyard aka. sanctuary and they did! Martin Landscaping supervised everything that had to be installed and all that had been designed in stages, from the in-ground gas fire pit to the the plumbing for our 7' x 6' wall fountain to all the electrical. They also designed and laid in place the sprinkler system for our beautiful plants and laid the electrical cable for the garden lighting...what a Fabulous job!!! Since they have done the work on our yard, I can call them from where ever I am, for instance, Home Depot or my Car etc. and they will take my call and answer my questions! I love that! They did a great job! My husband and I just this evening went out and enjoyed the sanctuary of our yard amidst the beautiful fountain shimmering beyond the sultry flames of the warm fire pit...the bamboo and plants just danced in the light breeze and we were happy.
