Imagine my surprise when walking down the street and happening upon my first Mont Blanc Boutique…read more Yes, maybe it was a little extra special because it's in Barcelona. All I can say is when I walked in the door I was personally greeted and allowed to peruse the displays. Then an employee came and offered me his service, did I have any questions, etc. His name was Carlos Hernández and he was fantastic. He welcomed me in saying "Please, come in. This is your home." He shared with us some of the Mont Blanc history, we talked about some of the pens I have, and he let me sample some that I thought were special and completely out of my reach. I just wanted to poke my head in but we ended up being there talking with Carlos for over an hour. He knew I wasn't going to buy anything. It wasn't about that. Mont Blanc considers the owners of their items family and they treat them as such. I've heard about this but never experienced it until Carlos Hernández. He taught me a lot that afternoon, not only about pens but also about some Catalan history.

I really like Mango because they have nice styles and the prices are very reasonable. I bought quite a few things and spent WAY less than I would in the USA for similar items. The quality is pretty good! I like that Mango also sells shoes and purses. It is great because they place these items near clothing items they sort of mesh with. That makes life easy and saves time. Mango had several locations in the USA, including South Beach but most if not all closed. I imagine because many Americans were not familiar with the brand. It is a shame because they are doing wonderfully in Europe and I think just about all of us appreciate great clothing at fair prices.
