The Head Coach will sound genuine, supportive, in control, intuitive, and knowledgeable. But as…read moretime passes, you will notice what comes out of his mouth is profoundly pretense. He will try to bait your ego/dreams/fears, latching on and gaslighting you into believing he is a 'god'-whom you are grateful to serve. In other words, it's the classic cultish exploit, where he gives you the compliments you wish/lack, subsequently making you want to believe in the rest of what he preaches. All this craziness is at the expense of your money(costs that hint at insanity or a scam), time, and neural pathways. Of course, boxing comes with the territory of sacrifice, whereas with this gym, all those I see leaving come out short-handed with new problems. If you want to learn boxing, go to a gym with heavy bags and 'USE' the 'INTERNET' to learn, it's 'FREE' with 'UNLIMITED' pools of data and experience. Of course, if you want to be surrounded by people in that world to get a taste of it, go to some other boxing gym or a hybrid of MMA. Amc will only be the gym for you if you are rich, immortal, and want to feel special. Don't let him become the answer to your success; you already have someone nearby who can do that for themselves.

As someone who hates the gym and has had very little physical activity, walking into a place like…read morethis can feel really intimidating. Luckily, the instructors are insanely supportive (and won't pressure you), and the attendees are various skill levels. There are two main rooms to this facility - one with a soft floor for jujitsu or yoga and one with punching bags, ropes, a big tire, etc. for hardcore training. While I've only had the chance to participate in one class so far, I'll definitely update my review as I have a chance to explore the diverse schedule that's available. I will say, it was a bit of an ego blow trying to keep up with people who have been in the program for a while, but my teacher made sure I understood he was there to help me reach my personal goals, no comparing, no judgement... just one step at a time. Also, he taught me the PROPER way to do even simple things like squats (which I was doing totally wrong). One word to the wise... if you don't have your own boxing gloves, get some! My hands smelled like dirty feet for three days (even after washing them multiple times).

I had no previous experience with BJJ but the class didn't make me feel uncomfortable and had lots of fun. The equipments on the other side of the gym is pretty cool and people were doing some kickass workout. Might try the bootcamp or kickboxing next soon.

After years spent at the same weight and same body type, I decided it was time to finally get in shape and build some muscle. Cream City Crossfit provides the most time efficient and effective workout I've ever done. Since May 2013, one hour spent at CCCF a few times a week has done more for my body than hours spent at the gym over the last few years. The coaches and members provide a support system and energy level that make me want to work out. The excitement of guessing the day's workout and knowing that I'll undoubtedly see results make the challenging workouts worth everything! Whether you're a seasoned weight lifter or you've never picked up a weight before, the coaches and members at CCCF can help anyone meet their fitness goals!

I knew I needed a gym that could provide community and make working out something I looked forward to, especially after historically having structure in my workouts due to sports. The squad of trainers, the variety, the pop-ups - there's truly something for everyone and every version of how I'm feeling. Total supportive zone with women from every walk of life - unbeatable and so empowering. Shape Up Shoppe made it so easy to get into a routine and actually be excited about working out... plus it's affordable and I already see noticeable results after hardly a month. 100x over recommend. I have tried many different gyms and this one feels like a community. The knowledge that Julie (owner) and the other trainers have about fitness, nutrition, etc is remarkable and allows them to give personalized feedback depending on your fitness goal! You can tell that the owner and staff truly care about your fitness goals. Unlike other gyms, if you miss a class, they encourage you to make it up and try a different class rather than losing the money. Cardio Complete - these classes are a great full body workout with routines that each target different muscle groups. Incorporating bodyweight exercises, dumbbells, jump ropes and more. As someone who grew up dancing, these classes are especially fun for me as I enjoy the aerobics style routines. I saw results in my strength, cardio and muscle tone very shortly after joining these classes. Boxing - I am not a consistent member of the boxing classes, but have done a few drop-in classes and got a great workout! If you are looking for a fast paced, fun and tiring workout I would definitely recommend trying a boxing class. During the class you will switch between heavy hanging bags, speed bags, headache bags as well as individual target mitts with a trainer. Pilates Slide - this is a newer class offered and am hoping that they continue it. I have done pilates at other studios prior and nothing compares to this class. It is a low impact workout but is sure to leave you sweating and feeling toned! If you do not feel like doing a class, they also have a gym on the lower level with cardio equipment, free weights, and machines. I highly recommend giving the Shape Up Shoppe a try and guarantee that you will fall in love with it like I did!
