They truly cared about me as a patient and as a person. I moved to Knoxville, TN about 2 months ago for work. I've been seeing my previous urologist in NJ for years for my urological issues. My urological issues are embarrassing to me and it is very difficult for me to find the right person I'm comfortable with for treatment. I couldn't find anyone in Knoxville that could help my specific issue and that I was comfortable with as well. I did some research and I found Dr. Cornell and saw he had lots of experience with my issue and offered the same kind of treatments as my previous doctor. At my appointment today I felt extremely comfortable with Dr. Cornell. I was surprisingly more comfortable with him than my previous urologist I've seen for years. He is very nice and listens well. He offers excellent advice. And his treatment was even better and more effective than my NJ urologist as well. I am doing so much better right now and I'm grateful. I have to drive 3 hours each way to see Dr. Cornell but it is worth it to me. He is now my official urologist and I will be seeing him regularly. I am extremely grateful and relieved that I found him. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a urologist. Honestly I believe he is the best doctor and this is the best doctor office I've ever been to. Please check him out. He will help you. Thank you Dr. Cornell and Kim. - Christopher Neller

Once I got there and gave his office manager my paperwork, I only had to wait long enough for her to photocopy my license and insurance and start a chart, which took no more than 10 minutes. I was taken back quickly, and waited no more than 10 minutes again to see Dr. Cornell himself. Dr. Cornell was EXTREMELY thorough, and looked over my past history, looking for anything that could help him piece together a picture of what was going on with me; which I really appreciated. He answered every question (even if I accidentally asked more than once), made sure I knew exactly what was going on, and took as much time as I needed to understand his conclusions, course of treatment, and the reasoning behind it. Dr. Cornell listened and made sure he understood exactly what I was saying before coming to any conclusions or making a diagnosis. It was so wonderful to have a doctor that really listened and spent time with me. I cannot say enough about my experience with Dr. Cornell today.

I have enjoyed each visit because of this amazing staff. Doctor Timothy McCullough listens closely and afterwards makes recommendations for all options available but more importantly that they are the best options for your problem and situation. He is very thorough in explaining how those options are done and how they may improve your condition. I've maybe made 2 other reviews in my lifetime but this one I definitely needed to make.

First, they will push whatever the local pharmaceutical rep is selling. Once you find out that's not covered by insurance, they'll send another prescription to the pharmacy. Then they'll take 2-3 weeks to send the authorization, during which time the pharmacy will drop your standing prescription. I have been to the pharmacy multiple times, called the Dr's office multiple times, spoken with my insurance multiple times, and still do not have my prescription after waiting for 2 months. They milk your insurance, push pharma rep preferred name brands (likely with kickbacks), and don't really care how long it takes to get your medication to you. I eventually gave up and will now have to start the process over with another urologist. Save yourself and headache and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE! Quite possibly the worst experience I have had with any medial office.

I arrived early and checked in at the front desk. At my appointment time, I was escorted to an examination room by the Medical Technician. She asked me if I had a full Bladder. To which I responded, "No one had informed me that I needed to arrive with a full Bladder". She then proceeded to give me two bottles of water to consume. After about 5-10 minutes, the door o the waiting room burst open and another Medical Technician SCREEMED at me to leave immediately. Therefore, I got up and proceeded down the hall towards the lobby with her hot on my heels. As I entered the lobby from the hallway she yell at me from behind my back saying, "NEXT TIME COME WITH A FULL BLADDER". This kind of behavior is disrespectful, unprofessional and unacceptable. I have never been treated so poorly in my life. If you are a current patient or considering becoming a patient of Advanced Urology, I would highly recommend you choose another facility.

In my initial appt with him he spent so much time with me going over everything I have been dealing with and essentially told me that until he looked inside my bladder himself he couldn't give me a definitive answer. That alone made me trust him and I scheduled my cystoscopy. The day of my procedure, the doctor was running behind however I could only see that as a silver lining that tells me that when it's my turn for the procedure, Greenstein is going to take as much time as he needs to get the answers he's looking for. My operation went smooth with ZERO issues and I finally received a diagnosis after years. Greenstein went over the treatment and medication options and scheduled a post op routine appt to be done prior to Halloween. Well, I ended up breaking my knee cap and not being able to do the follow up. I had knee surgery in November. Just before Christmas, I was have an IC flare up with my bladder and contacted Advanced Urology. I was connected with Samantha who worked with so much compassion and speed to relay my concerns to Greenstein and follow up with me timely. With their help they prescribed me the two medications that greatly helped with my IC flare up symptoms and because of Dr. Greenstein and Samantha I was able to get through Christmas and New Years without any IC bladder flare ups/pain. I am beyond thankful for everyone at Advanced Urology specifically Doctor Greenstein as one of his PA's Samantha. Thank you everyone for working with compassion, respect, kindness, empathy, and knowledge!

Twenty-one minutes and quite literally more than one hundred answers later there is no indication of how much more there is to answer, so I hand back the tablet and tell them "I'm done with this." When the medical assistant calls me back she is already pissed off about something, and I'm thinking it's me. She cuffs me for blood pressure but it fails. I ask her if I've done anything to offend her, even though I had just then met her, and she blames it on frustration with administration. She calms down and says, "So you're here for a prostate issue?" I have no idea what she's talking about. "No, I'm here for Erectile Dysfunction. Why does it say 'Prostate'"? She has more frustration with administration. She shakes my hand and more formally introduces herself as a sort of reset. No problem. So then she starts asking the EXACT SAME QUESTIONS I already painstakingly answered on the tablet! "Then why did I take all that time answering all these questions on the tablet in the waiting room?" Excuses for systems that won't talk to each other. BUT WAIT -- THERE'S MORE! If you act before midnight tonight, you get a FREE BONUS PRIZE of one pissed-off Urologist who tries to run through questions about my Old Fella like I'm a roll-your-eyes annoyance and the bane of his existence! The very first thing he starts talking about is medications like Viagra, etc. I remind him of the spreadsheet I gave him of the 22 medications I take, which includes Nitroglycerine, Gabapentin, Amlodipine, etc. He didn't even review the list before he saw me! If he had, he would likely focus on the Gabapentin and possibly one or more of the other medications I take as the root cause, or at least a contributing factor, of my John Thomas acting more like Salvador Dalì. (This next part I need to be discreet for the sake of Yelp and Yelpers alike, and not because I'm embarrassed -- obviously) He started pressuring me to answer a question that only my wife could answer accurately, so I told him I needed to call her. HE CRITICIZED ME FOR NOT KNOWING THE ANSWER MYSELF! He finally relents to letting me make the call, but by that time I was ready to say "See You Next Tuesday" and leave. I told him I was not comfortable with the way I'd been treated since I got there, so he starts stacking my forms in a huff and says "That's fine" and leaves in a second, new and improved huff. Now let's see if he charges me a New Patient Visit (he said he wouldn't). I'm a handicapped senior citizen with lots of medical problems who is trying to get back to Normal, and I'm scared that I can't. I'm really scared, and I'm trying my best to get this problem solved. I should not have been mistreated like this. There was no excuse for any of this. I got a different Urologist reference so I'm going to make an appointment with them today.
