the perfect getaway spot. And just what we needed. when we arrived and settled in we were in awe! such beautiful surroundings with all the fall colors in the trees just popping out at you while enjoying a cup of coffee/beer on the deck. Our 2 dogs (zoey & charlie brown) just loved it!!! " Remember, Its your responsibility to keep an eye on your pets!." the title of my review says it all. we loved it and will definitely be coming back but for a much longer stay. when we were packing up to leave we noticed that the car had a flat tire. John was such a great help and a very nice and understanding guy while we made phone calls to get the tire fixed/repair shop. I cannot stress enough about about the beauty of the area and being responsible. and respecting thier property. read more

We stayed at the Pinewood cabin. We just needed a get away for a couple of days and did not go visit the sites or trails nearby, but there are a lot of places to see that we'll check out in a future stay. We stayed in, and there was plenty to do. Our favorite thing was the hot tub. It was perfect and relaxing. The cabin was clean, spacious, comfortable, and adorable. The view is gorgeous. They have outdoor games like horseshoes and croquet in the garage, and they have a chest full of board games inside. They have books, movies for their blue ray, and WiFi. Internet was pretty slow for us, but we weren't there for the internet. My favorite thing about this place is that they are pet friendly. My dog had a blast as well. Check-in and checkout were so easy and hassle free. I've never had such a perfect experience with checking in and out before. They supplied linens, dishes, and so much more. I can't believe the price is so low! This place is nearly perfect, we were so relaxed, and we'll be returning for sure! read more

Choose Pinewood Cabin, perfect for a couple or small family, Amish-built Shadyside, ideal for up to 6 guests, or The Cottage, which accommodates 4 and is now available for booking from July 1, 2016. All feature cathedral ceilings, cheery gas or electric "woodstoves," well equipped kitchens, full bathrooms, HDTV and great sound systems, large decks/patio, propane grills, fire rings with free firewood and hot tubs. Pet friendly, of course! At Shadyside and Pinewood log cabins, step down from the main deck to the hot tub deck for a soothing soak while enjoying your favorite tunes on our outdoor sound system. At The Cottage, the hot tub is just a few steps from the back door. 10,000 acres of forests, gorges, cliffs and caves await you in the Hocking Hills. History

Established in 2003.

We began Marsh Hollow with our cozy Pinewood Cabin, a vertical log cabin on 14 acres. Ten years later we decided to build Shadyside, a gorgeous Amish-crafted two bedroom cabin. In 2014, son-in-law John joined the business as operations manager. And in 2015, we purchased the adjoining 20 acre property and remodeled the existing home in to The Cottage.

Meet the Business Owner: Mary M.

My husband Dave and I bought the original 14 acre Marsh Hollow property because it adjoined our property and was available at a bargain price. We had no intention of going into the lodging business. But after remodeling Pinewood Cabin (restoration might be a better word), we said to each other "why not?" Thirteen years later we now have 3 cabins/cottage!
